Hotel staff very good especially the cleaners and porters and reception staff they cannot do enough for you Unfortunately the waiting staff expect tips and if you don’t pay you are left behind by most not all my I add We were giving very poor rooms 902 in the basement windy and no view at all just a brick wall and damp went to reception they offered us another 2 rooms above the nightclub refused and finally offered a couple of rooms needed to be by my mum as she was on own view of see but also no balcony or terrace just a window and view of side of other hotel not very pleasant but as we were only there for one week it was ok and quiet ish xxxx just some deliveries early morning do ask for pool or sea view these are the best rooms Small pool was a little warmer but not heated not sure when that gets turned on x beds very good but the sun beds are reserved by many towels and not used until lunchtime when it warms up Hygiene was a little to be considered especially with the birds eating at the snack bar and practices of hand sanitation not refilled enough The water bottles are refilled as tops not secure x you have no idea who is drinking out of them this did worry me Pool towels were old but clean generally this place should be 3 star until updated Grounds kept very well and rui entertainment respect you Evening entertainment only saw i night circus show it was good , music ok but too loud for my ears and boring after the 3 night Taxi orange 20 dihrams generally within the town but the yellow and white take you out of town make sure you ask how much first x they are cheap and we gave tips all the time. Little train takes you all round 1.80 and you can hop on and off just remember it’s about 45 min wait though each time it doesn’t go to the souk get a cab there and ask for gate 10 x Some settles need replacing , shop very expensive stay clear you can get all you want from the other shops outside Marina a big disappointment dirty, busy and hardly any shops all bars Went on One trip to Essasoria ok if you don’t mind spending hours in a small coach and rushing around the souk x would have been good to have more free time 1/2 hour not enough to get back in and out to meet everyone Guide from TUI was good he kept us entertained as well as being informative x you do have to pay for your lunch ignore what the TUI rep says she doesn’t know, I personally felt she did not have much experience or stature in this hotel The resteraunt in my view was not as good as others we have been to in Morocco lots of food but very samey no specials You can order a kettle for the room if one is available you pay a deposit so get this back x bar don’t like you taking cups up to the room x we had to bring ours down most mornings
We have been home a week now after a 2 week stay. We had a fantastic time from check in to check out . The staff couldnt do enough for you. They kept everything spotlessly clean. We had a room overlooking the pool so we had a pool/sea view. Our maid Jane was lovely and we had clean towels every day and she kept the room spotless providing us with fresh bottles of water. The food was varied and plentiful. Didnt go to the moroccan restaurant but tried the seafood one. Unfortunately the paella was tasteless they served better in the main restaurant. The pizzas that Mohamed made at the snack bar at lunch time were delicious. The bar staff were really good and remembered what you liked to drink be it at the pool bar or the main lounge bar. Salek at the pool bar was quite a character as were Ali and Tarek in the Lounge Bar. Always so friendly and polite a credit to the hotel. The entertainment wasn't very varied maybe could be improved. We met quite a few guests that go quite regularly and the staff always remembered them. On the whole a fantastic hotel on the promenade which hopefully we will visit again some day
lovely hotel and paid for sea front room.4th visit here but not as good the little things matter.the guys staff round beach sunbeds pit 2 towels on at least 20 beds for the french guests .and we are only allowed 1 towel.then they go on pool sunbeds sit there and then come sit on beach sunbeds afterwards or before.very unfair when the actual staff are doing it and 2 towels on each bed .I watch it every morning.also the lunch tables outside are laid up with wine water for guests a table of 6 was laid.but no guests on table..we sat on the tables on purpose..unfair for other guests.lot of favroutism for certain guests.rui need to address this asap.chambermaids are good but had to ask for toilet rolls as none were put in toilet.rui need to address this information as hotel has and is going down..but had nice holiday overall.

Dear leeg772, Thank you very much for being such a loyal customer and to believe in us again to enjoy your holiday! Also, thank you for sharing your experience with us through Trip Advisor! On one hand, we are content to learn that you enjoyed your overall stay at our Hotel Riu Tikida Beach for your fourth time! On the other hand, we do regret the difficulty to obtain a sunbed at the pools as mentioned in your review and that this fact made your stay less pleasant. We do our best to deal with the unfair practice of ‘reserving a sunbed by leaving personal belongings or towels on it’ and we have authorized staff collecting the towels that were left behind by hotel guests during the night or early morning, so that fair access to sun loungers is provided. We lament that, this time, they were not as attentive as they usually are. We are looking forward on hosting you again in one of our worldwide hotels in the future! With the best hopes we remain, Hotel Riu Tikida Beach Online Reputation Manager
Our 3rd visit, not been for about 18mths so thought it may have changed but not at all, we were greeted with a lovely welcome cocktail, the staff are all still the same and some actually remembered us, the lunch time staff Hayat and Hind are stand out members of staff amoungst a group of very good staff anyway, it’s great when you order a glass of wine and they bring you the bottle. Have to say the hotel had quiet a large number of OAPs this stay, but as it’s such a relaxing place it’s no wonder really, The evening entertainment was not to our liking but they seemed to enjoy it. There are lots of steps up and down in a higgly piggly fashion, my daughter uses a wheelchair sometimes and overall we managed with use of lifts and ramps etc, we emailed beforehand to ask for a quiet room as she’s autistic and we did get one and very near a lift so little things like this make your holiday. Agadir promenade is lovely and flat you can walk right upto the marina takes about 1 hour, but a lovely walk, and the marina is nice although small. taxis are so cheap only about £3 takes you straight there, and the land train is a great way to see agadir and drops off at most hotels along the stretch on its way back, cost about £1.80 per person. The weather mostly hot and sunny though we had a few cloudy mornings but the sun soon burnt it back, not bad for November, Overall a nice relaxing break before the run up to Xmas,
We arrived for a weeks stay at the end of October and were greeted with clouds and rain. However the hotel was well situated to get out and about so even tho there was no sun, there was other stuff to do. The hotel itself was very comfortable and the lounge area downstairs had the air of a gentleman’s club with groups of leather or velvet chairs and sofas. The staff were all happy and caring and made our visit memorable. We had a wonderful room with a beautiful balcony covered in flowers, however there was a musty smell all the time due to insufficient airing in the bathroom. The food was good and plentiful but not exceptional. When the sun came out, the pool area had plenty of sun beds and there was no need to get up early to bag one! However there didn’t seem to be any effort to remove the mattresses or cushions in the rain, consequently they remained wet the following couple of days which was disappointing. We would happily return to this hotel.
