We stayed in this riad for 2 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Sonhild and Saïd were very helpful. They provided us with lots of information and made us feel like home. The riad is impossible to find but they will pick you up from the bus or airport. The rooms are big, clean and lovely decorated. Plus you have an amazing terrace with a good view over the medina. The breakfast was good as well.

We had a very nice stay in Dar Sienna. The airport service was perfect and there was also someone to walk us through the medina to the hostel, which was nice because we had a late flight. The owner was very hospitable and pleased to help us with everything. Although the room was next to the mosque it was very quiet. Sayeed's breakfast on the rooftop was amazing, just like the view.

We arrived late at night at Dar Sienna for our 5 days stay, because our flight had a delay. But this was not a problem at all, Sonhild arranged a taxi for us, which picked us up at the airport. When we get out of the car Sonhild and the housekeeper Sayeed waited for us and welcomed us warmly. They showed us the way through the maze of the medina. Dar Sienna is located next to the magnificent mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the builder of Fès. At the house, Sayeed directly made his delicious Morrocan mint tea(or „morrocan whiskey“) for us and we sat down at the terrace with an amazing view over the medina and had a nice talk with him and Sonhild. And this was not our last minttea with them. The house is just beautiful, it is renovated and the interior is very traditional moroccan and…

Dar Sienna was the greatest of all possible options for us. It’s situated in the heart of the buzzing medina and adjacent to the Moulay Idriss mosque. A step away from the Tannery and museums. The house is cool, clean and peaceful retreat in the bustling Médina. The shared spaces are cosy. Our bedroom was comparatively generous with a pretty view from the window. The bathroom that comes with the 1st floor bedroom is amazingly spacious and quirky. We particularly enjoyed the roof terrace! It has tremendous 360 views of the city, galleries, mosques and even the local Tanneries. Perfect for relaxing at sunset or for experiencing the resounding Call to prayer during Ramadan. Sayheed presents breakfast each morning from 9am, but feel free to arrange a more suitable time, he’s…

I had a wonderful time visiting Sonhild at her Dar Sienna. The atmosphere is marvelous. The Zawiya of Moualy Idriss near by makes the place so unique. I had a tour around the room and we sat in the Terrace in the Last Night of Ramadan. Tea was so cool :)

We had a very pleasant stay at Dar Sienna. The owner, Sonhild, and Sayeed, the manager, were very kind and helpful. Sayeed speaks basic english and is always in for assistance. All arrangements were accurate done. The transfer from/to the AirPort (even nighttime) was properly arranged. Dar Sienna is in the middle of the ancient Medina. At first you do need (the free) guidance from Sayeed, he comes to pick you up. Allthough you might feel somehow overwhelmed during your first walk through the old Medina, soon you will find your way in the wonderful and exciting world the Medina is. Dar Sienna is an authentic house, beautiful renovated, it’s clean, quiet and friendly. We have appreciate the electric heater because of some cold days. The view from the terrace is absolutely…

The Dar is wonderfully decorated with many traditional items including antique doors, traditional tiling and carpets. It is clear that great care has been taken; the artisan plasterwork and ornate bedspreads are authentically Moroccan, having all been sourced in the medina. More unusually, the windows and of course the terrace provide a very private panoramic view; this is just perfect for drinking mint tea! Saïd very kindly prepared me this drink in the real Moroccan way - delicious. He was very welcoming and arrived on time to meet me from the Blue Gate, even exchanging my pounds and picking up bottled water for me. He was of course, a wealth of knowledge and explained very clearly how to find all the different landmarks i wanted to see each day. This was invaluable; I…

We stayed one week in Dar Sienna and had a really good time. The place ist very special- you get to know the life in the medina. The house is beautiful, we had it all for us three alone, the terace ist the best place in Fes-spectacular! We didn't miss anything, the house is very well equiped- even the kitchen. There were many information provided in advance, what was very helpful. We have been picked-up from the taxi by the staff of the house, otherwise it would have been very difficult to find the adresss by ourselves. The assistance from the owner and the man in Fes was appreciated- firendly and always available. We really liked our stay in Dar Sienna, good experience. It was a good start for us to get to know Marocco..... We can recommend it- even to families! Thank you,…
