The Riad Dar Zelda is a small luxury boutique hotel in magical Marrakesh. The Riad has 4 double bedrooms, 3 junior suites and one grand 19th-century luxury suite. The decor is resolutely Zen and minimalist, but respectful of the ancient Moroccan artisanship: wrought iron, silks, precious woods. Every room is refined and luxurious.Dar Zelda is ideally located in the heart of the Medina (historical city center), just next door to the Medersa Ben Youssef (a must to visit; in all the guides) and the Museum of Marrakech. The riad is 10 minutes from the celebrated Place Djemaa El Fna and 2 mn to the souks (bazaar).Dar Zelda has a discreet/competent team of workers always attentive to realize your desires. The riad has 24 hour reception and room service. Lunch, dinner or snacks can be made to order anytime. You will enjoy the small heated pool and several terraces dominating the entire Medina and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staffs was kind and welcoming, I really enjoyed the location and the services. It is close to all the major attractions, perfect for a weekend or a longer stay. The dinner at the Riad was super, as well the breakfast. Internet was working properly, and the night transfer from and to the airport was safe and well organized. Thank you!!

Really everything was wonderful, Jamal and Adil, we so appreciate everything you did for us. The riad is very lucky to have you both working with them. Beautiful house and food and care of guests. Thanks you for looking after us so so well. The Kennedy family.

We spent 4 nights at Dar Zelda and could not be happier with our experience. I can't recommend enough both the location and the hotel and staff. Dar Zelda staff took care of us from the moment we arrived. The Medina is a very busy place but Jamal and Amil took excellent care of us helping with directions, answering our questions and making sure we were comfortable. The quality of the stay was exceptional, the beds comfortable, the breakfast fresh and tasty and the suppers were well prepared and flavourful. Many thanks to our host Michel for the warm welcome. No doubt any trip is enhanced by a stay at Dar Zelda

Amazing staff. And very helpful. Facilitated our airport transfers and arranged a tour for us to the Agafay desert and the Ourika valley. The raid was perfect. A 10 minute walk to the big square and in close proximity to Moukef if you want a cab to venture outside the Medina, but tucked in a very serene location.

We stayed in this property for a couple of nights and took the Africaine Superior room. The stay was comfortable but we were slightly taken a back by the state of the property since it was a bit different from the pictures. It looked as is it needed a bit of a fresh paint and polish. It wasn't as well lit as it shows in the photographs either. It was a bit dull. The staff (Jamal) has been very helpful and accommodating to our requests. Would I visit again? Perhaps not. Could I find better Riads to stay at this price? Certainly. The staff is the best part of this Dar.

Many thanks to the great team at Dar Zelda. We really felt at home. A beautiful oasis of calm in the colourful, hectic city. Loving and tasteful aesthetics make it a place you want to return to again and again. You can feel that everyone here gives their best and enjoys their work. My respect for this and many thanks to the entire team for the warm welcome.

absolutely fell in love with the place. very comforable, home-like feeling. the staff are super friendly and very informative, they gave us the map and pointed out all the highlight spots, where to get a taxi, etc... we also had dinner at the riad one night, super authentic home-cooked tagine and couscous. highly recommended. we stayed in the deluxe suite which is a 300year old room, still has all its authentic ceiling decorations and moroccan style old palace look. dar zelda truly added to our experience visiting old medina of marakesh. not to mention the super location, walking distance everywhere!

A gem in the Marrakesh medina! We stayed at Dar Zelda with our family (10 people) and were super satisfied! Starting with the comfortable airport service, through the check-in, the breakfast, the rooms, etc. we liked everything very much and can absolutely recommend it. The staff (including the two owners) were super friendly and very helpful. Even small requests were fulfilled immediately and easily. We ate at Dar on three evenings (this is highly recommended with smaller children) and were absolutely satisfied. There was no menu, but the kitchen conjured up excellent Moroccan specialties with something for everyone. The drinks were moderately priced - breakfast was served on the roof terrace with a beautiful view, as was the sundowner enjoyed there. - -> all in all a GREAT WINNER and an absolute recommendation!! Disliked · We would have liked a large mirror in the room, otherwise everything was there.
