Michel, Brandon and their staff provided us with a memorable stay. The Riad is awesome, decorated with taste, with a fantastic rooftop and a unique pool in the patio. The location is perfect, right in the center of the Medina, allowing us to walk throughout the Marrakech' delights. We will definitely come back!

My partner and I Mike recently spent 3 nights at the Riad dar Zelda. Michel and Jamal were very accommodating and welcoming to us. The room we stayed in was very clean and large. The king size bed was very comfortable. Mike spent many hours on the roof terrace, which included a hot tub. Breakfast was ample and satisfying. We...

Michel and Brandon received us with open hearts and made our stay in Marrakech unforgettable. The Riad Dar Zelda is a cozy property with big rooms and bathrooms, an interior pool, roof terrace and whirlpool. Decorated in a beautiful traditional but also modern style. The staff inside the house is extremely friendly and helpful. Jamal takes care of the guests...

While visiting Marrakech for the UN Climate Talks in November we rented out the entire Riad as a large group of 17 people. From the moment I contacted the Riad I received excellent care. Brandon answered questions promptly, efficiently and professionally and did an outstanding job in assisting us in planning our adventures both within Marrakech and beyond. We arrived...

We arrived mid week. Michele had arranged for a driver which made our arrival seamless. We had a glass of wine on arrival then dinner on the terrace - the food was delicious, so much so that we did the same on our last night. The staff were attentive, arranging trips, taxis and a nice touch was our sandwiches for...

Dar Zelda is an amazing place with warm welcoming staff and a very lovely & friendly owner, Michel. We were 5 women celebrating a big birthday! I came from London and the birthday girl with 3 friends in toe came later from Stockholm. I arrived at 09.50 and was already up on their excellent roof top with a glass of...

My wife and two grown daughters and I stayed three nights at this riad in late December 2014. They arranged pick-up at the airport, and the driver was there, patiently waiting, even though we ended up clearing customs almost two hours late. After a terrifying ride through Marrakech -- I lost count of how many people we almost hit --...

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for good location in the Medina; relaxed hosting; comfort; interesting, largely local decor; good food in house; clean and well-appointed room; pleasant fellow-guests; great roof terrace. If you want a 5 star western hotel you won't be as happy, but we got just what we hoped for. It is...

We wanted a riad that was traditional, authentic and most importantly gay-friendly. And we were pleasantly surprised with all of these points at Riad Dar Zelda. The indoor courtyard was lovely & peaceful, the room was clean and minimalist, the bed very comfortable and the shower nice and refreshing. Breakfast consisted of fresh orange juice, tea, coffee, fresh baguettes and...

I stayed at this Riad with three friends and it was fantastic for a short stay in Marrakesh. My friend and I stayed in the Carbone room which was beautifully lit and decorated - perhaps one of the chicest rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The rooftop is lovely for relaxing on, and an unbeatable for...

The Riad Dar Zelda is a small luxury boutique hotel in magical Marrakesh. The Riad has 4 double bedrooms, 3 junior suites and one grand 19th-century luxury suite. Every room is refined and luxurious.Dar Zelda is ideally located in the heart of the Medina (historical city center), just next door to the Medersa Ben Youssef (a must to visit; in all the guides) and the Museum of Marrakech. The riad is 10 minutes from the celebrated Place Djemaa El Fna and 2 mn to the souks (bazaar).Dar Zelda has a discreet/competent team of workers always attentive to realize your desires. The riad has 24 hour reception and room service. Lunch, dinner or snacks can be made to order anytime. You will enjoy the small heated pool and several terraces dominating the entire Medina and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. ... more   less

“All are excellent. Douaria is worth every extra penny. The three suites are definitely more spacious so if you can splurge a little do.”

“The Douria family suite where we stayed was beautiful and spacious. There was one small-looking room that faced on the courtyard that didn't appear to have much privacy.”

“as we were out, or in the sitting room or roof terrace, most of the time we did not actually need the 'junior suite' extra room, the bedroom and bathroom were attractive, reasonably large and comfortable. We did not see other rooms but some are striking with original features I believe.”
