Magnificent 16th-century Riad, a haven of peace in the very heart of the Medina, lovingly restored in the pure Moroccan tradition - painted cedar ceilings, sculpted stucco, zelliges, marble floors...Impeccably clean, all rooms with private bath, and air conditioning. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Superb 360 view of the Medina, the Koutoubia and the snow capped Atlas mountains. One hundred yards from the Medersa Ben Youssef and the Marrakech museum, 15 minutes from Place Jemaa al Fna. Excellent cuisine!

Lovely and clean traditional road. We felt well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for Ishmael who was on front of house most of the week. 2 members of our group had to leave eaeybsie to bereavement and they couldn’t have been more helpful - booked them an airport taxi and carried bags to the meeting point. The Riad has a gorgeous roof Terrance where we ate breakfast and drank wine in the evening. The 5am call to prayer was so lovely to hear (mosque directly across road). It’s a haven inside from the noise and hustle of the streets outside! Fab restaurant le jardin is very close by.

The staff were very friendly and polite, the riad was absolutely stunning and clean, the breakfast was great, the only faults we had was another persons hair in and around the bath tub, and there wasn’t much hot water, but I’d stay again for sure, thank you

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the time in Riad Dar Alhambra a lot. The house itself is beautiful, with a lot of oriental decoration and a little fountain in the centre. Our room was very clean and cosy, the rooftop offers some of the best views we've had in Marrakech and the owner and staff were very friendly, caring and helpful! The location is in the north of the Medina, which is perfect to stroll around and explore. Thank you very much for everything!

An absolute gem of a riad in the heart of Medina. The rooms are beautifully decorated, extremely quiet and equipped with comfy beds. The location is excellent: only about a ten-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa and literally 20 meters away from firs souks. Large rooftop terrace with beautiful views over Medina and Atlas Mountains. The breakfast was very good, but otherwise food prices on their menu were well over average. On the other hand, the nearest restaurants are just a few-minute walk away, so that's not going to be a problem. Lovely staff. Fully recommended!

We stayed 4 days, Hamid the owner was very friendly and gave all kind of tips where to go for drinks, hamman, shopping, excursions,he was very helpful all the time. Breakfast was so good and they serve it whenever you will wake up, very attentive from their side.Rooms are very Moroccan stylish, we loved ours however it seemed to be closed for a while and little smelly, they offer us to change to another room. I really recommend this Riad, it is worth all what they offer.

We have been staying in this Riad for a week. Kindness and honesty made us feel at home. The room was clean and amazingly authentic, food was the best we had in Marrakech (we are italian so we are very picky with what we eat!!). A special thank you to all the staff working there for making us feel so welcome.

I had the most relaxing, wonderful long weekend at this Riad. The hosts were living in the facilities themselves (which they do for part of each year apparently), and they were wonderful and very accommodating. They also speak French, English, and to my surprise Danish, and we had some lovely chats. The manager is very helpful if a bit hyper, and his English is lacking somewhat so you’d do better with some semblance of French (or Arabic of course). The riad has a lovely roof terrace, and a beautiful shaded inner courtyard as well, with many seats available for relaxing, reading, eating - all of which I did happily here. My room was simple, clean and beautiful - just the way I like it. Note that, as the riad is in the Medina a taxi cannot drive up to the doors. You’ll be driven from the airport to the nearest square, from where a handler takes your luggage on a handcart through the streets, walking alongside you for maybe 10mins. I didn’t have cash to pay this handler which proved quite awkward upon arrival. Also - a glitch from lastminute.com meant there was no room available for me on the first night, but this was quickly sorted by the manager who put me up in a riad next door for the one night. You will be on the edge of the Medina here, walking to the main square (through market streets which are all part of the Medina as well) takes maybe 20mins. All in all a truly wonderful place, a calm and beautiful oasis in the bustling Medina.

We are staying at this riad right now. It is everything I’ve wanted in a Moroccan riad, esp. after our trip to the Sahara. I usually don’t eat at the hotels I stay when traveling; but this place is so inviting that I felt the urge to try their cooking. Guess what their food is excellent as well! We had vegetable tagine and egg/meat tagine, and they both tasted really flavorful yet not greasy. We will definitely highly recommend this riad to our friends.

My friend and I stayed here a few days ago and we had a great experience! The riad itself is stunning, really traditional and the décor is amazing. The room we had was clean but also very stunning even though a little small but is perfect if you don't spend too much time in the room. Smile ( his nickname) was especially helpful and really helped us out when we got lost so many times in the medina and souks. All the staff were really friendly and we even met Peter and Silvie the owners who again were really friendly. The breakfast was adequate: bread, pancakes, mint tea and juice. The only downside is that although it is in a central location it is quite hard to find!
