Arrival at Marrakech airport. You go through passport control, they stamp your passport. You then go to whichever baggage reclaim conveyor belt (There are 6 of them). Then luggage is put through a scanner. After that turn right towards departures if you want to use the Al Barid ATM. It is about a hundred metre walk to the ATM. Very straight forward instructions in English. Maximum withdrawal 2000 dirhams. A very useful breakdown of notes, plenty of small denomination notes. Can withdraw multiple times, 2000 dirhams up to the limit you have with your bank. My wife and I stayed at the Kenzi Menara Palace hotel which is excellent. Very spacious room, huge in fact. Breakfast is very varied with everything you could wish for. The hotel has a shuttle bus to and from Sidi El Momoun. a couple of hundred metres from the Koutoubia mosque, 5 times a day. Very handy. When crossing the main square and through the souks, not unduly hassled. Visited the museum de la photographie and the museum of women. Both these were small but cheap to enter. Did not go to The secret garden or jardin de majorelle. Both entry charge a bit steep. Went to Cyber Park instead with free entry. Crossing roads is not for the faint hearted. Often chaos. Don't bother with local buses. On the side of roads, bus stops are not named with no signage. You have no idea how long until your bus is coming. Buses absolutely rammed with people. Don't plan on using local buses. Stah restaurant highly recommended. The most extensive, exquisite buffet you've ever seen with music and entertainment thrown in. 350 dirham a head here. Also highly recommend Cafe Clock. Did a cooking class here. Wonderful experience.

This is a luxurious hotel. Our room215 was very spacious and well equipped. The setting in the gardens gave the appearance of an oasis, which had a very relaxing ambiance. The Spa was excellent, opt the hour long hammam. It was amazing. We chose the all inclusive option which equated to £450 per night (three adults and one 11 yo). Despite the fantastic staff and amazing setting, the all inclusive package was lack lustre. We were left with a slightly sour taste and feeling like second class citizens. For example the beer was a budget option which tasted like fermented ethanol and other drink options were restricted. While standard guests had access to a number of brands such as san Miguel. We are not big drinkers but it did make a big difference to our stay. Also our option didn’t allow for eating at the pool bar which was a disappointment for the kids. I would recommend half board option for anyone looking to book. We stayed in a Riad in the medina for a couple nights beforehand. Could be a good option for anyone looking for a optimum cultural experience. I would recommend doing both as Marrakesh can be intense!

Dear Richard, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed review. We're delighted to hear you found our room spacious and the setting relaxing, especially the spa and hammam experience! We strive to create an oasis of tranquility for our guests. We appreciate your feedback regarding the all-inclusive package. It sounds like there might have been some misunderstandings about what it included. We apologize that the beverage options and limited restaurant access fell short of your expectations. We will certainly review your comments to see if there are improvements we can make to ensure a more consistent and inclusive experience for all our guests. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the half-board option, and we'll ensure it's clearly highlighted for future bookings. We're glad you also enjoyed your stay in the Medina Riad. It's a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the cultural heart of Marrakech. Your recommendation to experience both is valuable advice, as the city offers such a unique blend of experiences. Thank you again for your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future, perhaps to try the half-board option and experience the full range of what we have to offer. Sincerely, Mrs. Ibtissam JAMILI General Manager

Well - her I am again. For some reason my review has been taken down for the second time - not my doing, but must be something to do the with the hotel not wanting people to hear the truth! On the final day of the stay Ilham, the PR manager came to see us at poolside to check that everything was ok and to ask if we needed anything. I wanted to check that we were able to make use of the the room for a late departure to which she asked if I had booked the holiday on the phone to which I responded - no the computer but the reference could be seen on the phone. She then asked to see this on the phone, so I passed her my mobile and sadly she felt the need to upload a review of 'my' stay without my knowledge, and fraudulently! We contracted food poisoning, and I also injured my knees falling in the restaurant as The cleaner was mopping the floor and had not displayed any hazard signs. When I complained to the hotel they offered me to eat from the Room Service menu as this food would be freshly cooked freshly from this menu. The result is clearly shown below! Ilham wrote the review herself fraudulently, and when I questioned this was told that sometimes guests need some assistance. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. They have offered us a free holiday - but this is not somewhere we would ever consider to return to, and would never recommend this to anyone! if this is the way that they manage to get their reviews uploaded then the integrity of their staff has to come into question. I know that a someone's name starts with a capital letter and it is PR and not RP! Please note that below was NOT written by me: We extend our heartfelt thanks to the relations public manager ilham , especially after she efficiently addressed our concerns regarding the restaurant food. Her attentiveness was truly commendable, as she not only listened attentively but also went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Throughout our stay, she consistently offered thoughtful gestures, paying meticulous attention to small details. It's often said that small details matter, and in this case, she certainly did. Overall, our experience was fantastic, thanks to the exceptional care and dedication of the RP. Disliked · EVERYTHING - I fell and suffered severe bruising to my knees - and when I fell not one staff member helped me to get up or even check that I was ok. We also got food poisoning. (After more than s month of being home I have now had to have tests for food poisoning and bug that are still present in my stomach!)Staff lied to us about using my mobile phone. Sadly the review may not be here for very long - so please take heed.and take my advice - do NOT travel here - EVER!!!

As our Marrakech adventure drew to a close, the Kenzi Menara Palace welcomed. Nestled within its 10-acre park, this hotel exudes timeless elegance. The bell staff, with their genuine smiles, and friendliness welcomed us. The check-in process was as seamless. Speaking of which, our spacious room felt like a sanctuary—a place to unwind after bustling days in the Medina, one thing I did notice was that we could not lock the door from the inside, it was stuck. The bathroom, with its dual offerings of a bath and a shower, was a luxurious touch. The reception staff were very helpful. Need a taxi to explore the Medina? They’ve got you covered. Walking enthusiasts, beware: it’s about an hour’s stroll from the hotel. But fear not—the journey is a delightful immersion into Marrakech’s soul just make sure to use google maps for your strolls if you are willing to walk. Remember this: cash is king. While the Kenzi Menara Palace lacks an ATM, a short jaunt across the road to the neighbouring hotel solves that. And for the towels—yes, there’s a deposit (£45 for two Adults which I thought was quite steep). The dining experiences! Our first night, we indulged in the buffet. But beware—it can be a princely sum. Nearly £100 for the feast left us both shocked. Tables lingered, but the service remained commendable. My partner’s love for the lab with the buffet’s lamb led to a midnight rendezvous with queasiness, he actually felt ill and was throwing up and going to the toilet very often, not sure if it wasnt cooked properly or cleaned but seemed he got ill from this. The next day, he bounced back, which was good as we still has 2 days left. There wasn't much choice for the breakfast although it was a buffet style, a lot of pastries not enough proteins to chose from The following evening, we stepped into the Italian restaurant on the premises. A wise choice for sure! The price was half that of the buffet, yet the impeccable service and delicious fare stole the show. Fresh ingredients, artful presentation—it was a culinary sonnet in this side. To the staff who made our stay unforgettable: Shukran.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Take your own tea and coffee and milk as the bare minimum is provided - no black tea etc. Just herbal teas in room and poorly cleaned cups (tiny). Rooms are outdated and poorly cleaned, there was no way if get on that bath. The shower was old with signs of rust and extreme wear and tear. Ahower gel was not replenished all week. Was empty from day one.d don't expect decent toiletries. Good job i bought my own bar of soap as an emergency use until i could get to a supermarket. Indoor pool also small and outdated and steam room wasn't working. No apology or explanation when queried. Even the customer service wasn't good. Some staff are just plain rude, especially the Spa. We stayed at this hotel previously 8 years ago and it was a lovely hotel and so sad to see how much it has gone down hill. Also, if they put you in a room facing the main road expect a lot of noise at night and pollution if you like to have your balcony doors open during the day. Breakfast was bland, just ended up eating croissants or a boiled egg and basic toast. I tried most things but was left disappointed. If you look a decent coffee or tradition english tea, be prepared to be disappointed. This is just my opinion but there were more negatives then i care to list. Preferential treatment towards french/local guests. We just recently returned from there and will look for another hotel for any future return trips. Its a shame really but at least the grounds are lovely and pool. Don't normally write reviews but felt others should be aware of what to expect. The manager will probably follow up with the usual generic response as shown in previous reviews but it'll just be lip service as clearly lots of negative reviews with same issues expressed and no improvements.

Beautiful, modern and comfortable hotel. What makes us give this mediocre rating is the staff and its only because I am in a good mood that I don’t rate it even lower. The staff at the bar by the pool didn’t pay attention at all, served wrong food and was downright rude. The same goes for the staff at the indoor pool. Accessible from the pool area was a hammam. The door was open so we assumed it was part of the pool. After a while a lady ran us out of there (and also other guests who had made the same assumoption) in a quite rude way. It seems the staff lack basic service training. Like saying ”excuse me but this area is only available if you pre-book”. Its a shame that someone has invested so much in nice premises but forgot to train the staff. Carl-Johan Forsberg
