Riad Luciano is a magical place by its mixture between the traditional Moroccan style that we find as soon as we cross the front door with doors of craftsmen, plasters of tadelakt, sculptures on plaster, mosaics and zelliges; and the Italian touch of Monsieur Luciano which is found in the height of the ceilings, the lamps, the living room and in the bathrooms fitted with walk-in showers and bidets. The Riad is located within the Medina, in a quiet street in the middle of the Dar el Bacha district, one of the most beautiful and most secure in Marrakech. The palace of Dar El Bacha and its surroundings are monitored 24/24 by the royal guard. Jamaa El Fna square is a 15-minute walk through the souks and bazaars which are just a few strides away. My Swiss husband acquired this Riad for some time and I just took over the management after renovations / improvements in December 2019. I am Moroccan by birth, having lived in Switzerland for more than 20 years, I take care of the organization and it is for me an honor to be able to offer impeccable and precise service as in Switzerland, warm and generous as in Morocco. I expect many of you in our comfortable Riad where a warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you. Laila Krattiger

Pension very well located, right next to the souk in the medina. The neighborhood is very lively and close to Jamâa El-Fna Square. Many good restaurants are also within walking distance (<10 minutes for the restaurant "Le Jardin" for example). We took a taxi or driver only to go into the desert and to get to the new neighborhoods of "Hivernage" and "Gueliz", the rest we did on foot.
The Riad is very well decorated and the atmosphere is very pleasant inside. Several pitches are available for relaxation (terrace, rooftop, swimming pool, common room). A swimming pool is also available and its surroundings are very well appointed. You can find comfortable sofas, seats and also tables for drinking or even eating.
The room was beautiful also, very well decorated too. Especially very clean and cool like Riad despite temperatures above 30 degrees. Air conditioning is also available if needed. Our room was made after almost every one of our outings. A real happiness to find his bed done flawlessly as well as the room all cleaned upon his return. The bathroom is functional, no complaints about the room equipment in general. Everything you need is present to have a pleasant stay.
We also had two meals at the Inn, one without Reservation. Traditional Moroccan dishes, delicious and well prepared. We can say without exaggeration that we have feasted with my wife. Breakfast is hearty, varied and just as delicious as meals. For the record, I think we never had the same breakfast twice. There is also the possibility to eat salt and hot (several omelets are available). All this accompanied by a good Moroccan tea of course.
We did a hammam + massage, although it's not really something I usually like, I enjoyed this good relaxing time.
Best for last:), the riad staff. Amazing people who meticulously organized all of our Things to do. We even had a person who picked us up when we arrived from the airport to take us to the riad. The manager even took her time off to do some shopping so that we didn't pay too much for our spices... amazing! All the staff is really caring for guests, present, available but discreet. We feel a lot of desire to get things right and that the quality of the guests' stay is their priority.
In conclusion, we hope to be able to return quickly to this beautiful city of Marrakech and especially to have the opportunity to rebook a room at Riad Luciano and its formidable team.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel. It is hard to put into words just how beautiful this place is. It is an oasis of calm in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the medina. The staff were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted with smiles at every turn. They even warned us that we would need paper boarding passes when travelling back and printed them off for us. Our room (The Malek) was stunning and incredibly comfortable. The air conditioning was amazing and much needed at this time of year. We never got the chance to eat there in the evening, but the breakfasts were varied, tasty and plentiful. We also indulged in the traditional hammam and massage and it was incredible and so great that we could just stroll down from our room in our robes. This was our first time in Marrakech, but it won’t be our last. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else but Riad Luciano.

For my first solo stay in Marrakesh since the pandemic, I researched about a hundred properties for a luxurious, peaceful stay after a long flight. I chose Riad Luciano because the website promised Moroccan warmth, Swiss precision, and Italian style — traits of three countries I love. It delivered! The property is beautiful. The Sultan Suite was huge — a bed and couch bed large enough to sleep four people and a massive closet that even Carrie Bradshaw couldn't fill. The private terrace and common areas — plush salons, pool and courtyards, rooftop dining area, lounge, and sundeck — made the property a restful escape. Located just off Dar El Bacha, the riad is in my favorite location in the Marrakesh medina for shopping, historical sites, and the best coffee in the world at the Dar El Bacha Museum. The staff at Riad Luciano functions as a family and could not be more attentive or caring. As a solo traveler who doesn't go out alone on foot after dark, I enjoyed their company at dinner where they served a delicious meal on the rooftop. As in any large city, I don’t typically go out alone on foot after dark. Having a balcony and rooftop allowed me to enjoy city lights, cool breezes, and full moons.
While living in Marrakesh for two years and returning when I can, I've featured many riads on my blog and podcast. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. See my profile link for the full review which includes a post, videos, and podcast discussion on local excursions and culture with the property owner.

Very well run, beautiful riad with excellent service. The whole place is very nicely designed and the team are incredibly friendly and helpful. Arriving late at nice can be disconcerting in the medina (a very old narrow set of streets which are narrow and like a maze) especially for women travelling alone but the riad is close to security checkpoints and the area is safe. It’s close enough to walk into the mayhem of the souks but an easy escape to a calmer retreat.
Our stay here has been first class so far and the room rates are very reasonable in late October early November. Weather is sunny and around 25C .

We stayed at the Riad Luciano Resort and were so delighted with the choice. The staff were attentive and dedicated to ensuring our stay was beyond our expectations. They succeeded. Every consideration is thought of down to the finest detail. From the pick up at the airport - definitely recommended as the staff will meet you at the drop off point and show you the way to the Riad.. Although it isn’t hard, it’s good to have someone to show you the first time. Check in and tea welcome you upon arrival, which were a welcome after a long travel day. We were given a tour and shown our room. The pool area and roof top are stunning oasis’ from the hustle and bustle of the Medina right outside the walls of this peaceful paradise. We nightly, went up to the rooftop and gazed the gorgeous night sky on the sun beds. The room was immaculate and very comfortable and grand. Each room has an architectural feature that stands out, and the multicoloured stain glass light shining on our wall from the bell tower above our bed was simply beautiful and a wonderful way to wake up each morning. Breakfast by the pool, was as picturesque as it was delicious. The combination of a more traditional fare and some western options were available. It was and excellent beginning to a day full of exploration and shopping, Riad Luciano sets the tone for a wonderful relaxing stay even if it was a short one. We will be back for certain, and will stay longer next time.

10/10 would recommend Riad Luciano! During my 2-week trip to Morocco, I switched Riads every few nights, and stayed in various accommodations including tents in the desert and 4-5 star Riads. In terms of room quality, staff service, cleanliness, and location, Luciano stands out as having the best overall experience in my view.
Location – it is located inside the Medina, near the Dar el Bacha museum. DO NOT TRY TO FIND IT ON YOUR OWN! You will get lost as Google Maps does not show all the narrow streets and alleys in the Medina. Give them a call when you arrive and they will tell you a destination point to get dropped off at and a staff will come and pick you up. My group and I arrived from the train station, took a taxi, and had no issues. The hotel staff even gave us a reasonable guideline for taxi prices.
The inside of the Riad is beautiful and as captured in pictures. There are several shared seating areas in addition to the pool, and the roof top terrace is also an excellent place to lounge. The rooms warmed up quickly with heaters (it was December!) and were so cozy and comfortable. Thoughtfully furnished and clean.
What stayed with me the most was the genuine hospitality of their Staff - Btissam, Mohammed and Ismael, were who we interacted with the most, and they were super friendly and professional. Btissam was so eager to hear about our daily excursions, provided crucial advice when it came to bargaining in the souks and for taxis. She gave my group numerous tips on navigating around the Medina and how not to get scammed. Each day when we returned to the Riad she genuinely wanted to hear what we had been up to and it felt like catching up with a friend. It was very fun just chatting with her. Ismael was also so helpful in making sure that we were comfortable and taken care of, and offering advice on the best places to visit. Also a special shutout to Mohammed – who literally saved our lives when our bags were lost enroute to Morocco. Since neither of us spoke anything other than English, he helped us make calls to our airline and the local airport to help us try to locate our luggage. He was able to get real information on the tracking whereas I had no luck when trying to call myself. I really appreciated his help and was able to have a wonderful rest of my trip because of his efforts.

Hands down one of the best memories of my 12 day stay in Morocco. The riad is elegant and luxurious. The staff, led by Mohammad, were friendly, excellent and helpful without exception. I loved it so much, I convinced my colleagues to book part of their stay there. Location is perfect and the 8 room riad is beautifully appointed from the front door to the dramatic rooftop view. I can’t wait to stay there again.

I booked a hotel room with breakfast and dinner a few months ago to celebrate my wedding anniversary with great joy. Unexpectedly, a few days before my departure, I suddenly received an email from the hotel telling me that my credit card was invalid. So I provided another credit card and the response also said my credit card was invalid and my order was cancelled. What I'm curious about is that the terms of my reservation are that I pay only after checking in. Why did it pass a few days before I checked in? The hotel replied that my credit card was invalid, and because someone had reserved my room and paid in full at the same time, it was so late. Canceled my order. I am so disappointed!!! He ruined my wonderful anniversary and asked me to find new accommodation. This is an irresponsible and disappointing hotel.

We loved our week-long stay at the Riad. Thanks to Djamila, Mohammed and Tahar who cocooned us throughout the stay. Half board, we had meals worthy of top chef;-) The location of the Riad is perfect, very quiet while being close to everything. The team helped us with all our excursions. Thank you again for this lovely break

We had a very comfortable stay at the Riad Luciano. We were well looked after with transfers to and from the airport organised for us in addition to a private tour to the mountains. The Riad is beautifully presented and an oasis of calm and charm in this busy city. Breakfasts were delicious with some interesting variations each morning and an extensive menu was available for the evening. The staff and management were kind and helpful at all times and we would highly recommend this wonderful establishment in the heart of the Medina.

"You have to walk the last couple of streets to the Riad as it is in accessible to traffic but this makes it nice and quiet.
But the location is very central
