Home from home in Marrakech, our 7th stay at Dar Rocmarra before and after our annual journey to the desert. Comfortable, welcoming, and the finest breakfast imaginable - and dinner, cooked by the amazing Jamila, to set the group on our way to the sands. Next year's dates already booked!

We felt like family at this riad. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is exceptional, the rooms are spacious and decorated with extra touches (like rose petals). We would stay here again without a doubt.

We stayed at Dar Rocmarra for 3 nights. We were met at the taxi drop by Jamila who took us to the riad where we were served mint tea and sweet snacks whilst being told everything we needed to know about our visit to Marrakech. Our room was cosy and immaculate and the bed was sprinkled with rose petals. The central open courtyard is incredibly beautiful and peaceful and is a perfect place for breakfast. We had dinner in the courtyard one evening and had a Tagine prepared by Jamila which was the best Tagine of our trip to Morocco. The rooftop terrace is a perfect spot for chilling out with a drink in the evening. We loved our stay at Dar Rocmarra being looked after by Jamila, having chats with Jalil and having an immaculate room courtesy of Latifa. If you're reading this wondering if you should stay at Dar Rocmarra, the answer is yes. You will not be disappointed.

Jamila and her team’s service and hospitality were impeccable. The breakfasts plentiful. The hotel was quiet, charming and very clean. Excellent value for the money. The tour company we used for the desert had recommended it (Desert Majesty). Well located (in the Medina, can walk everywhere but quiet). We stayed in 2 different rooms, one bigger, one smaller, both were great. Highly recommend. Truly wonderful experience, service and premises alike.

We arrived from a 3 day desert tour and Jalil met us where the tour guide dropped us off. The Dar is only a 5 minute walk from the main attractions but is far enough away that there is no noise on a night time. We were welcomed with mint tea and Jalil gave us a map and explained how to get to all the nearby places. He also gave us a card with the Dar's information so that if we got lost, someone would be able to help us get back. We stayed in the Berber room and it was beautiful! There was so much attention to detail it felt like we were royalty! There were rose petals everywhere but not just thrown on the bed, someone had taken the time to select similar sized petals and create little designs which just shows how much effort was put in to preparing our room. The room was SPOTLESS. When we went out for the first time Jalil escorted us to the main road and pointed out features in the street to look for to find our way back which was really kind and helpful. The first morning, we were greeted by Jameela who told us there was a table on the roof terrace for us. It's honestly so beautiful up there and we really felt like Kings and Queens the whole time we stayed. Breakfast was incredible! There was omlettes, bread, jam, honey and butter every day but then the rest varied between pastries, msemen, beghrir and a different fruit and different flavoured yoghurt each day. We went out for the day and came back to our room completely clean. At this point, we had been in 8 different hotels/riads in morocco over 3 weeks and nowhere had cleaned our room each day so we assumed it was normal to bnor have a cleaning service. We were so tired the night of arrival that we left our stuff everywhere but the staff here had gone above and beyond to clean and organise our things for us. Once again, there were fresh flowers, perfectly folded toilet paper and clean sheets every day. They really went to so much effort to make our stay hassle free. We also noticed that for the first couple of nights, we were the only guests because it was a quiet time in Marrakech but even though it was just us, they still made sure everything was perfect. They lit tealights every day, made sure there were fresh flowers, turned on all of the lights on the roof terrace at night for us and so many other lovely little things. I'm sure other hotels would not bother doing all of that for just 2 people. During our trip across Spain and Morocco, we stayed in 11 hotels/riads total, and BY FAR this was the best. It was also one of the cheapest. We will definitely be returning and staying in the same place because the Dar was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the service was incredible. Everyone was so kind, helpful and went over the top to make us feel welcome. To sum it up, I would say that during our stay we were treated like royalty but felt like family. Thank you so much to everyone at Dar Rocmarra ❤️❤️

We stayed for three nights at Dar Rocmarra in Marrakesh on our first trip to Morocco, arriving as a family of four (10 and 13 year old boys). Jamill was absolutely wonderful, and a huge help both on the phone and at the house. He met us at the intersection and walked us through the winding alleys to the door, which all felt quite hidden and exciting, and then served us mint tea on arrival. Rose petals were floating in the fountains. Our room was fantastic-- plenty of room with a large bed for the adults and two smaller beds for the boys around the corner, quite lovely, and a large bathroom across a (private) hall. And A/C! Which was an absolute must- it was hot. Wifi was excellent (my husband works in tech and needs it to be)- important for us as we work and travel. Breakfast was filling and very good, served on the roof top. And it turns out it was a short walk to everything we wanted to see and do. On top of all of that, it felt very authentic-- not like a big hotel would feel. Our favorite place we have stayed in a long time. Highly recommend.

Myself and my partner had the privilege of staying in the beautiful Dar Rocmara for our birthday vacation, and it really did not disappoint. Julie helped sort out the entire stay, and Jamila the hotel manager was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and very traditional, and breakfast was fantastic with great city views. We can’t thank Dar Rocmara enough for making our birthday celebrations so special and making our first trip to Marrakech one to remember. Thank you!

The Souk in Marrakesh is chaotic and crowded with people, bicycles and donkeys. It’s dusty, noisy and exciting. You can spend a great, but exhausting day, haggling over entrancing local wares. The Riad it’s two minutes from the market, but it is an oasis of peace, calm and restfulness after the hassle and heat of the Souk. It is a traditional Riad built around a central courtyard. Just to sit in the shade of the Olive tree and listen to the sound of running water is immensely restful. The riad is run by Jamila assisted by Jalil and Latifa. They keep it immaculately clean and it is very tastefully laid out They are extremely welcoming and constantly attentive to one’s needs. Our trip was arranged with considerable help from the owner, Julie Day jramsey@infotelecom.es) who not arranged the airport collection but fixed dates and flights for us. I particularly love the roof where, in addition to sun beds there is a long sofa and table under a large canopy. In the cool of the morning having breakfast up there it’s perhaps my favorite treat. Swift and endearing little buntings fly overhead whilst one drinks fresh orange juice and coffee and eats a generous breakfast. The skyline of Marrakesh forms a backdrop. The rooms are comfortable and elegantly furnished. The attention to detail is impressive. We loved it.

This was a fabulous place to stay in Marrakech. Jalil in particular was amazing. When we arrived for our first night we were the only guests, and nothing was too much trouble for him, preparing us dinner when we arrive, and a beautiful breakfast in the morning, both on the lovely roof terrace. It has a relaxed feel, all staff were friendly, and is just a 10 minute walk to the main square in Marrakesh. Rooms were very comfortable, and we had loads of space.

It is beautiful and so clean! The staff are really helpful and friendly. We had breakfast everyday on the rooftop which was delicious and such a great spot to sunbathe and hang out. The location is also great for the markets and for local bars and restaurants. Would go back any time, such a great price.
