Absolutely incredible! If you’re looking to explore Marrakech and stay in an authentic Riad then Riad Aguaviva is just perfect in every-way. Never have we ever stayed in a place with such amazing hosts. Jana and Simo were extremely welcoming, ensuring we were well-catered for with great recommendations, pick-ups and very helpful with maps and a superb breakfast on the fabulous roof-terrace every morning. The room was cleaned everyday, had air-con and we particularly liked the bathroom and shower. The Riad is very beautiful and peaceful – which we really liked and also really exciting to enter and exit the Riad via small hole in the street – made it really quite cool! We can highly recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we next visit. Big thanks Jana and Simo! Simon & Tony

Jana and Simo will transform your Marrakesh experience. We arranged pick up from airport which was seamless after a long flight and Simo met us to take us to the Riad. The welcome we got from both was wonderful and immediately we felt right at home. Jana armed us with valuable info we needed for Marrakesh, advising us on sensible amounts we should pay for certain things and the best places to eat and visit. Nothing was too much hassle and each day she would offer advise so we saw everything. They care so much about their guests and we felt safe and well looked after at all times. The breakfasts were out of this world and so much on offer we were full until dinner most days. The Riad is just beautiful with the most amazing art work done by the owner. The neighbourhood is good and we felt safe walking from central medina back. When I come back to Marrakesh this is where I will be looking to stay again. Kat and Ros

The Riad was beautiful, but more importantly, the host was more than amazing. Jana made the whole place feel like home, she make everything feel safe and easy. She sat down with us each morning and showed helped us decide the best places to go, helped us with maps and taxis and scams and was all round just completely lovely. Stepping from the street into the riad is like entering a totally calm oasis. I cannot recommend this stay enough. Thank you Janna

We stayed at the riad for 6 nights. Jana and Simo (hosts) organised for us to be picked up from the airport, which was efficient and a reasonable price. Once we arrived, Jana was super welcoming and friendly. Following a tour of the riad and settling into our room, Jana was very accommodating and took the time to talk to us about the way of Marrakesh, useful things to know, maps, and recommendations for sights, food/drink, and other activities. The riad was peaceful and quiet, with a stunning pool and roof terrace. On days we were in Marrakesh, we had breakfast on the terrace, and on the days we were up before sunrise, Simo kindly left us pre-packed breakfasts to take with us. If we ever needed anything or had any questions, Jana was always able to help us out with this, which completely made our trip. If anybody is considering accommodation for Marrakesh we cannot recommend this enough. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, the Riad is traditional and beautiful, and the location is perfect (close to the Soukhs and Medina but not right in the centre of the chaos). If we visit Marrakesh, we will not think twice to look elsewhere.

We loved absolutely everything about Riad Aguaviva. The building and its decor were beautiful; our room was gorgeous; breakfast was delicious and plentiful and our hosts went out of their way to make our stay perfect from beginning to end. Jana advised us on where to go (and where not to go) and suggested restaurants (and made reservations for us) based on our likes, all of which were spot on. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we travel to Marrakesh and will recommend to anyone who wishes to visit this magical city.

We (4 of us) stayed at Riad Aguaviva for 5 days and enjoyed every single moment. The riad is absolutely beautiful, welcoming, and very warm. The staff is incredible and truly make you feel at home and are available at any and every moment. I needed change for smaller bills and the staff went out and got it for me! I loved the intimacy of this riad as there are only 5 rooms. For this reason, they know all of their guests very well. Hannah is absolutely amazing and speaks English, Spanish, Arabic, French, and even some Hebrew (very impressive) so communicating was never a problem. She even walked us to some of the places we wanted to go, helped us with reservations, gave excellent recommendations, confirmed excursion pickups, and gave a very detailed map to help us navigate the medina. She also gave very helpful tips when it came to getting taxis, negotiating, and other tourist-friendly advice (that I won't share because you need to stay here in order to learn what they are). Breakfast was served every morning, and they even packed us breakfast to go when we had a very early excursion. We had dinner at the riad and it was amazing!!!!! I would 100000% recommend Riad Aguaviva!! Book this Riad TODAY.. I promise you will not be disappointed! Thank you Riad Agugaiva for your amazing hospitality!

My friend and I stayed at Riad Aguaviva for a night. Don’t be fooled by the entrance to the Riad - once you enter, you’ll be welcomed by warm, beautiful decor that makes you feel right at home. We were warmly guided from the drop off point and shown around the riad. We had to leave early in the morning too, to catch a tour and was pleased to find that someone was awake to help us and that they packed breakfast for us too. The room was really comfortable and clean, and the bed was so cosy that it makes it difficult to get out of bed. While the riad is a bit further out from the médina, it was more private in that sense too. Only wish we had more time with Riad Aguaviva.

This fabulous riad is located near Ketchick gate, so away from the bustling part of the medina. Our room, Sultan, was lovely, spacious and was styled with nice local touches. The bathroom with walk-in shower was functional and again reminded that we were in the Medina of Marrakesh. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace with new offering daily: one day it was a fresh fruit salad (of six fruits), a Moroccan pancake like savoury with pumpkin and curry seasoning, toasted baguette, butter and ham, a chocolate filled crepe, orange juice and coffee. What makes this riad perfect is Jana and the staff. She organised a day trip to Ouarzazate for us, took time to explain the intricacies of the Medina in detail, walked us to the closest point to be dropped by a taxi, then walked with us to the fourth identifier on the wonderful hand drawn map she made, gave us the picture book of the route and a phone in case all else failed. We felt ready to explore. We were impressed that breakfast had been packed for us when we left (early) on our day trip: I think about this often as I still have the orange sac that the food was in – I use it as a carry bag! We had dinner in-house after our trip which was great as it was a long day, so not having to search out a restaurant was good. We dined alone on the terrace. The meal was delicious and the wine the best that we had! Book this the day before you want to dine. There are more decedent and opulent riads but for the best experience, book here. Highly recommend

My partner and I enjoyed a perfect stay at Riad Aguaviva. We were collected from the airport - very reasonable, we’d definitely recommend arranging with the Riad - and delivered to a veritable oasis hidden down an unassuming alleyway. Amin and Jana couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay, from restaurant recommendations to late night tea on the terrace; they even walked us to various waypoints to make sure we knew where we were going and wouldn’t get lost. After a day out in the baking medina, it was a true delight returning to the peace and tranquility of Riad Aguaviva. A cold dip in the pool, followed by sunbathing on the roof terrace was the perfect preparation for a busy night in Jmaa al fnaa square, or a relaxing evening at Aguaviva-recommended Limoni, which is well worth a visit. Breakfasts are delicious and our room (Mapas) was comfortable, clean and unique. The whole Riad is incredibly romantic, and there are so many wonderful little touches like fresh roses in the rooms and rose water in the bathrooms. The staff really couldn’t do enough for us during our visit, and we even had a packed breakfast to see us off on our last morning. We only had three nights at Riad Aguaviva, but we’ll definitely be back for more. Thank you, Riad Aguaviva!
