I stayed in Riad Massin because I was referred by a friend. As I woman traveling by myself in Morocco, I cared about safety in the first place, and it was good to have a reference. So as a plus, Riad Massin is a safe place, has kind and helpful staff, cheap, clean and has a good location. However, I...

I've stayed here a few times and loved it, but now I am done with it. The new staff are super helpful and the whole place has been repainted and cleaned up... But it's lost its charm. The roof terrace is no longer a nice relaxing place to chill out, most of the rooms are doubles so there's no real...

Super friendly staff, always very helpful! It's a pretty good place to chill and meet people. It's a good 20 mins walk from the famous main square, but still in a handy location nearby Bab Doukala, close to the bus station. I came back here a second time during my stay in Morocco and when I explained I needed to...

I loved my stay at Riad Massin! I stayed at two different hostels in Marrakech and this one was by far the better hostel. Our host Hassan met us right when we got there and was very friendly. The hostel was very clean and very safe and cozy. It was also very beautiful and had a great atmosphere. The wifi...

Stayed here for 4 nights in dorm. Was quiet when I stayed here, just two of us in the dorm. Hassan met me at the nearby gate as arranged after flying in. Tea on arrival and details about navigating the city and avoiding crowds etc. Very helpful! Wi-Fi signal was excellent downstairs. Bus station nearby, train station a 25 minute...

We stayed in 6-bed dorm in March. Everything worked well. Staff was so helpful and warm, and we were welcomed with tea and stories. Staff also arranged us day trip to Atlas Mountains - something I can definitely recommend! Hostel is beautiful and peaceful despite that it is in restless (but interesting and central) medina. Hostel also has a roof...

I stayed here one week at Feb 2016. Hassan and Mustafa and rest of the staff are really friendly. The guys were all the time renovating the riad, looking forward to visit here again sometimes to see the result. The location is ok, a peaceful alley but a busy market street was just a block away. The riad is also...

Location: Just inside one of the medina entrances. 15-20 minute walk to the main square which is really easy to navigate to. Just 5 min walk outside the medina, there are a few banks/ATMs and Jardin Majorelle and Maison de la Photographie is only a 15-20 min walk. My favourite part about the location is that it's quiet, yet, the...

The Riad is located at the entrance of the medina - easy to find. The staff was so friendly; they helped us to plan our trip to the desert. It was the best experience ´we had in morocco. i can recommend this hostel to everybody

My first time travelling alone, my first time out of Europe, my first time in a "hostel". What a great experience. The staff were helpful, the rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were wonderful. “If you can get a room in the main building, that would be most convenient for you, as we stayed next door and needed staff to let us in both buildings each time. It wasn't terrible, as someone was always available and willing, but it was still kind of a pain.”

“Massin 2 only a few meters around the corner is quieter due to not having a social area of its own, whilst you are still able to access the main building freely.”

“If you are a light sleeper, ask the guys to place you in the second quieter house (right next to the main one). Riads are houses deigned to have rooms surrounding a patio. Sound resonates no matter how quiet ppl try to be. The main house has the reception and internet and it's where guests hang out. The second is dead quiet if you like it that way.”
of 5 bubbles Sabawy, 6 Oct 2013 | Read review
“The rooms that you are offered vary widely. Riad Massin catered to solo travellers very well with 4 and 6 bed bunk rooms but also had several rooms for couples. I prefered the rooms next door which is managed by the same people in Riad Massin II but if you want to be more sociable then Massin I is the way to go.”
