Beautiful Riad & an all round lovely place, a bit testing to find in the hustle of Marrakech so the airport pick up is recommended, once you have your bearings though you can find it every time, the 4 euro breakfast is great & the maid is very sweet. An all round success... Thank you.

We visited Marrakech in January (still hot!) and stayed here for 4 nights. Our host was lovely and very welcoming. Luckily for me my companion speaks French, as our host did not speak English (but I expect that the obstacle of language would be easily passed as she was so nice and spoke some key words of English). Very nice... More

This place was a heavenly respite from the bustle and overstimulation of Marrakech. Very reasonably priced. Nagette, the housekeeper only speaks French but is a treasure. Perfect for a couple wanting to travel cheap and authentically. Breakfast is cheap and 3euro each but consists of pretty much just bread. Would recommend.

Location a walk away from Souk and if you keep in a straight line you can also get to the square. Fab Hamam around the corner. Really local area & not at all touristy. People were friendly, polite & helpful. Upgrade a bit for eating. We were seriously disappointed with 'same old' menu everywhere and mostly not very interesting. I... More

My mother, brother and I have just returned from 11 nights in Morocco staying at different Riads and B&Bs in Marrakech. Dar Zitouna was my favourite Riad. It is a beautiful, small and traditional riad in a real Moroccan neighbourhood in the north of the medina just 10 minutes walk from the centre. The woman who looked after us was... More

"Beauty is within simplicity" as would say someone I know! Forget fency and big hotels: this Ryiad, yet simple but is so cosy, charming, relaxing and comfortable! The sleep quality there is excellent, the breakfast simple, but fresh and authentic (special thanks to Najat for that) Despite the location, I'd recommend the Ryiad.

Stayed here with a couple of friends for a weekend away. The Riad itself is charming. Despite the hustle and bustle outside its walls, you can hardly believe how serene it is once you get in. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast really sets you up for the day! You will need to brush up on your French however... More

I've got to say, if you're planning on club holidays (swimming pool, all inclusive and so on) this place is not for you! If you want a real feel on what Marrakech is about (lively, messy, dirty but lovely) this is your place. The road is not easy to find, we got ripped off by a cab and some guys... More

Mum and I have just arrived back from a 4 day stay at Dar Zitouna. It is a very relaxing and unfussy raid , while at the same time offering a quiet luxury. It is an extremely cosy Raid, where you are made to feel that it is home from home. Both mum and I are vegatarians, and the breakfast... More

Me and my boyfriend have just arrived home after what was meant to be a 3 night stay in DAR zitouna. Forst of all, we thought we were going to a completely different hotel named 'riad zitouna' in fes, over 200km away, but then relaised after we got home (after not even 1 night staying here) we discovered we were... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Called after the giant olive tree reigning inside the central courtyard, this unique place has another mistress, Lalla Khadija, whose smile welcomes all our guests with the purest Moroccan tradition. This little 5 rooms ryad in Marrakesh is ideal for families and appreciated by kids who love to toddle in the plunge pool. Remarkably situated within reach to all the biggest traditional parts of the medina and its notorious saints, there is nowhere better to sip a mint tea than on the Dar Zitouna top terrace admiring gorgeous orange sunsets and listening to the Voices of Marrakech. Magic times await for you! ... more   less
