We have just got back from a weeks stay a Tikida Garden’s.

We arrived at the hotel around 10pm, check-in was speedy and the hotel gave our drinks and had put a continental buffet on for new arrivals.

Our room was lovely, clean, tidy and spacious.

The hotel grounds and gardens were always immaculate which is a credit to all the staff who work endlessly hard each day. Also, the decor around the hotel, particularly reception is stunning!

The waiters were always friendly and welcoming! Mohammed is always there to welcome you to breakfast and dinner with a smile and our waiter Abdelghani was fantastic, he looked after us so well and kept our glasses full!

The facilities around the hotels were fabulous! All pools were great with plenty of sunbeds, we chose to sit by the quiet pool and found it very relaxing. We never struggled to find sunbeds in the morning, there were still plenty around by 8:30am during our stay.

The food was great, sometimes it did feel a little repetitive but that does not take away from the quality. As vegetarians we never struggled to find something to eat and always enjoyed it.

As others have mentioned, the cocktails could be improved. For this standard of hotel, we did feel that they were a little disappointing. However, we didn’t struggle as the white wine, beer and gin & tonic were great.

We took the shuttle bus into Marrakech one day, this was a great extra. We spoke to Darren the TUI rep before venturing out and he was very helpful with his all of his knowledge of the area!

The gym is run by an external company and whilst well equipped, we feel I would be much more beneficial to guests if the opening time was earlier than 9am.

Agreeing with a recent review, we also feel that it would be nice for the rescue donkey to have a pen/enclosure. That aside, it was great to see how well looked after he was! He proved very popular with many guests visiting him each day.

Staff 10/10. Food 7/10. Drinks 7/10. Entertainment 7/10. Room 8/10. Location 6/10. Facilities 8/10. WiFi 2/10. Pool. 6/10
Bit of a mixed bag this one. Holiday bought as a gift and would not have been my first choice due to being inland but still very grateful to have been given the opportunity to say I have been.
I won’t go on about the hotel details to much as they have their own page so I will keep it basic.
Please remember that Morocco is a former french protectorate and the first languages are Arabic and french. English is spoken well on various levels but it’s always nice to know a bit of the local lingo. If you want a party town then this is not the place for you. Right, onto the review, based on my scores above. The staff here are excellent and cannot do enough for you, everyone from the front of house staff to the gardeners who keep the grounds lovely. The food I found to be a bit of the same in the seven days I was there, also a lot of it was not to my taste but there was plenty of things I could eat to satisfy me, all nice and well presented. Drinks were not to bad either but I never had anything with ice in as I was not to fond of the local water ( free bottles behind reception ). Entertainment was taken care of by a small group who did their best and did not do to bad either but that’s not really my thing. Our room 230 was a nice room but with only 1 English tv channel, the odd bit of wear and tear and air con that was not cool at all but was a comfy nice place to be apart from the heat. Location was about a 30 minute walk from the city centre passing the night time glue sniffers but this was a nice change to the junkies where I live, the hotel itself seems a little out of place with its beautiful gardens as it is in a very run down looking area ( met some really nice folks though ). Facilities are all very good, table tennis, tennis, badminton, boules, football, gym ( 3-7 pm a bit poor though) and an indoor small heated pool. A separate spa is on site to, my good lady went there and said it was ok but was not impressed about a couple of things ( private changing needed ) but found it to be generally ok. I can’t vouch for it as I missed my appointment by going quad biking ( save a fortune by going to Mohamed’s around the corner, left, 50 metres, for many trips at a third of tuis prices ). WiFi is best describes as crap, unsecured and only available in the beautiful lobby area and as fast as a dead camel, this alone is the reason for my 4/5 rating, some of us still have to work when we are away. Hotel also has a huge unheated pool and due to it being unheated I pretty much had this to myself as being from Newcastle I have no concept of cold

Myself and my partner unfortunately had our holiday cancelled due to Covid and had a last minute change to Morocco. We spent 14 nights there.

Hotel is lovely very pretty lots of nice views and good picture spots! We stayed in a pool room view which is very nice and can’t really complain about the location. Only bad thing about the room is the beds are very very hard!

During the week days we had no issue getting sun beds at anytime of the day and you get fresh towels everyday.

Food was OK the alacarte is not worth going to at all we were left very hungry due to lack of food presented. But main restaurant is good and has a decent variety each day.

Whilst we were there they had a 9pm curfew which meant the entertainment was almost non existent. They tried with bingo and some music but it only ever lasted 45/30 mins each night before lights out. Not their fault granted. But no music by the pool so no real atmosphere at all.

The biggest let down for us was the weekends Fri-Sun the hotel becomes fully booked by locals who are very rude, loud and get favoured service over everyone else in the hotel. Noisy until early hours of the morning and then push and shove in the restaurant. It becomes very obvious that staff are more fussed about their business than ours.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday we did some trips quad biking and the waterfalls which were 100% worth the money. The hotel is very nice but the weekends ruined our experience.

2nd visit to Marrakesh I would return but not to this hotel.

Dear Stephanie, Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback. We are glad to hear that you could finally travel after having to wait due to the restrictions and we appreciate that you chose our hotel for this 2-week holiday. Although we are glad that you highlighted our main restaurant's gastronomic offering and your pool view room, we are saddened to know that the presence of other guests on the weekend may have tarnished your experience. It is very important to us that our guests feel comfortable and relaxed during their holiday. We are surprise by your impression you got from our service, as all our guests are equally important to us and we will make sure to share your comments with the corresponding department for further follow-up. In reference to our entertainment offer and as we inform on our website and the rest of the booking channels we have been forced to limit our services in order to comply with the anti-covid protocol set by the local authorities. We look forward to welcoming you back to one of our hotels to demonstrate the quality of service that characterises us. Kind regards, Hotel Riu Tikida Garden Online Reputation Manager

Pleasantly surprised with how lovely this hotel is felt very safe and was happy masks are mandatory at the buffet.every wear is very clean with plenty of staff about.
The rooms are a good size only down side is the beds are very hard.
Plenty of pools and sun beds few towels out in the morning but no struggle to find one at any time of day.
There are plenty of activities going on very one is so friendly and it’s a really nice atmosphere.
You can have a late check out for a fee but they do have a room available for you to have a shower and some wear safe for your bags to go so you can chill out if you have a late flight.
I’m a very fussy eater and LOVED THE FOOD plenty of choices only thing I struggled with at the start was the food wasn’t labelled well and as a vegetarian it was a bit tricky but the labelling got better as the week whent on.
This hotel is in a good location if you not want to be in the city centre but close enough for a 10 minute taxi to attractions.
I would recommend this hotel my one bit of advice would be start tipping at the start service got even better after we tipped.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

My husband and I were here in March. We wanted to have a break away following my dads funeral and just wanted to chill. This hotel was brilliant.
The staff were lovely, and I must give a special mention to Rashid who is one of the chefs. He actually made our holiday, he was so kind and attentive to us both. He would prepare us some fresh dishes, and even made us a packed lunch to take to the airport. As our plane was delayed, this was really appreciated.
The food quality was amazing, if I had to make one very minor criticism I’d say that the food doesn’t stay very hot under the lamps. This was no fault of the staff and was only an issue on less popular items that were sitting there for a while, as the chefs were constantly cooking and replenishing the dishes.
I can highly recommend the behind scenes kitchen tour. Everywhere was so clean, and they had separate chillers and freezers for all the different food types. Neither of us had an upset tummy the whole time we were there, which to me is another indication of how hygienic the food is stored, prepared and cooked.
The hotel has undergone a massive refurbishment and it shows! The four pools set in the gardens with the most comfortable Bali beds were some of the most comfortable and picturesque I’ve been in. Yes, the reserving of beds can be an issue, but you could always find somewhere to sit. Chloe and Khalid were always quick to sort any issues out, which they did promptly and efficiently.
The activities were booked solely through the app, which made for a more chilled atmosphere.
The rooms were lovely, and a good size.
However they could do with a couple of drawers ( there aren’t any) and there was often a smell of sewerage coming from the bathroom, which could be helped by air freshener.
Our maid was very friendly and she did an amazing job every day, our room and bathroom was kept spotless.
There’s a couple of recommendations that I would like to make which would put this hotel into the luxury bracket which I feel it deserves.
Waiter service around the pools, this would be a massive improvement.
At breakfast and lunch, you often had to ask for tea or coffee or you didn’t get one.
We saw people serving themselves glasses of wine at the waiter stations at lunchtime which really shouldn’t be necessary.
Some of the waiters got to know you, and as long as you remembered to sit in their area, they would look after you brilliantly, but it took a few days to realise this.
The pools were freezing, and though there was a heated indoor pool, it’s not the same. Maybe just one or two of the outdoor pools could be heated through the colder months.
Overall though, we had a fabulous time, great food, some great people and a beautiful setting. We would come back here, but only if the outdoor pools were warmer.

The first sight of Rui Tikida Gardens is of a long tree-lined approach with a very imposing frontage. Checking in was quick and efficient and, although arriving late due to flight and airport difficulties, a buffet supper was available. Our room was fortunately overlooking the quieter pool and gardens, the central area being quite noisy at times. The hotel buildings and gardens are quite magnificent and are looked after meticulously. There are five separate pools catering for different tastes. Younger guests, who were in the majority, seemed to prefer the main pool area where loud music played continuously throughout the day, but we were able to avoid this by using the quieter pool area. At times it would have been easy to imagine being on an 18-30 holiday rather than a Tui Blue for Two!
Without exception the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and all seemed to speak English as well as French and Arabic. French guests slightly outnumbered the English, with a few guests of other nationalities. Evening entertainment was very variable, the pick being African night.
The big disappointment for us was the food which was bland, lukewarm and well below the standard of other similar Tui hotels. Labelling was very poor and it was always a guessing game as to what we were eating! Guests with allergies could have been in real trouble! But wine, beer and soft drinks were available in copious quantities. Breakfast and lunch were served in one restaurant next to the pools which had a “holiday camp” atmosphere, certainly no finesse. Dinner was served in the main hotel which was slightly quieter and more organised.
Although enjoying the holiday, we would probably only return if the price was right and would hope that improvements to the food would match the other very good aspects of the hotel.

Arriving through the local neighbourhood you wonder what you are going to find however the reception is very nice.
The outside space of the hotel is pleasant with lots of architectural plants and lovely gardens, the pools are very clean with plenty of sun beds for all.
The food and drink are of a very average standard and limited so it’s difficult to piece an actual meal together so it’s best not to expect too much.
If you are in need of a proper meal there is plenty of lovely restaurants around the city.
Rooms are small but clean, mini bars have nothing in them which is very strange especially when you arrive late at night during a 9pm curfew to find a piece of bread with salad and a bottle of water only for 2 adults.
Swim up rooms are excellent in the afternoon but unfortunately as I write this review after being here for 3 days having no sleep because of a terrible smell in the room with the a/c broke and someone putting a urinal block in the room to mask the smell it’s spoilt my time here.
Considering the cost of the holiday the saying of you get what you pay for is correct.

Unfortunately I would not return

Dear Resort24004503553, Many thanks for sharing your experience with us. We are pleased to know that you were satisfied with the hotel´s cleanliness, the pool area, the beautifully maintained grounds and the reception area, although we regret that some of the aspects of the hotel did not meet your expectations. We are sorry to learn that our wide range of food did not fulfil your expectations as we work really hard to offer a wide selection of exquisitely presented dishes which are prepared daily with the utmost care. We also regret to find the room´s dimension was not to your liking and that there were some maintenance issues that made an impact on your holiday. We would have appreciated to have heard about it while staying with us in order to take action and improve your stay. Despite the inconveniences you experienced, we truly hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the near future and provide a better stay. Arrived after being diverted with EasyJet to Casa Blanca, arrived four hours late. Jasmine the Tui rep and fitness instructor was there to great us, they had even arrange some food to be left for us, salad, rolls and fruit, which was a really nice touch but no knifes and folks were left, so not really practical. We had already checked in on line but this was pointless as you have to do all the paperwork again anyway. We were in rooms 263 to 266, two pool views and to garden views, gotta be honest you can’t see the pools from 264 or266 as trees are to high and the garden views over looked waste land with a tied up donkeys. So views not amazing. We didn’t do any excursions through Tui but they did arrange a very reasonable large taxi to the souk, which is an experience if you like to haggle. Really enjoyed the aqua aerobics by Jasmine and the board yoga in the pool and the fact that they aren’t in your face to get you to join in is great.
The food was good, although limited at times, No fizz at breakfast and no smoothies, we had youif mostly helping out at our table, he was great, often having our drinks ready. The pool bar was good and a shout out to lovely jubbly man who was always smiling and wishing us a happy holiday.
A negative is the limited glass selection for drinks, gins served in normal glasses, wine glasses tiny and no pint glasses for beers, tonic often flat and limited choices. White wine was just about drinkable.
Also be prepared to put your towels down early, although there are plenty, the sun beds often have towels to reserve beds whilst no one sits on them all day, even watch a couple have sun beds by the pool and cabana reserved for late afternoon sleep, annoying as the hotel doesn’t do anything.
Over all, a nice holiday but a bit more club 18-30 then i hoped for.

I had a small issue on arrival with regards to the safe but this was quickly addressed. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. The restaurant was fab there was so much choice a salad bar , Italian station with puzzas and pasta. Morroccan food .steaks grilled chicken and fish. This was rotated .The morrocan night was the best for me .I loved the tagine. There was a large selection of desserts plus ice cream. If you are a vegetarian there was entry of choice. Breakfast was nice. The rooms were fab lovely and cool. The TV had an English movie station which was good. The cleaners did a fab job keeping the hotel clean. The tui staff were great! I am not really a drinker and had non alcoholic cocktails. The swimming pools were amazing all 4 of them .I loved the cabanas .The reception staff were great.
There is a clinic 10 mins walk away if u need to do a pcr test cost 500 dhms.
Please walk outside to the market 5 mins walk outside the hotel u will find some fab slippers ..The only negative is the hotel spa. The massage therapist gave me a bad massage in fact she was rinsing out towels in the sink 3 times during the massage .she could not even give a massage . The animation is not great .There are restrictions from 2100 all will close. Please more animation in the day. I am returning in 6 weeks with a group see u then.

Our last full day here as I write this and it has been perfect. The hotel itself is very clean, welcoming and benefitting from the recent refurbishment

The room was fine and only let down by not having a proper double bed which we are used to when travelling and holidaying.

Food wise everything was spot on. Very tasty meals with just enough variety every night to stop you overindulging and trying the plethora of different dishes served up by some 4/5 star hotels. Never struggled to put together a nice 3 course meal and leave feeling full with the tastebuds still tingling

Breakfast and lunch also had plenty of choice and was great but would have preferred a proper cappuccino type coffee which is available elsewhere in the other bars rather than the filtered coffee pot with milk. Freshly squeezed proper orange juice with bits was an unexpected bonus as even some 5 stars we have stayed in serve up a cordial type.

Pools are unheated but usable and very refreshing when the temperature was in the late 20s early 30s. Not as popular as they would be in the summer heat but great once in and acclimatised

We didn’t bother too much with the evening entertainment as after a few drinks we would return to the room and watch buffer free Netflix films thanks to the great feee Wi-Fi which is good everywhere we wanted it.

Weather has been amazing and only 1 day of rain out of 7 wasn’t bad with the rest been cloudless blue sky and very hot once the early morning had warmed up.

Very pleasant and friendly staff all round and all in all I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel for a relaxing break to a couple seeking some rest and relaxation. Being adults only helped keep things at a nice chilled level to enjoy

Loved it and was well with the fantastic all inclusive deal we had with TUI as it ended up being cheaper for 7 nights than 4 thanks to triggering a discount threshold
