We stayed here for 5 days with my two daughters and wife. Honestly one of the most beautifully designed lobby and pool area.. couldn’t stop staking pictures. The staff of great especially Rachid, Omar the driver and the young lady who brings out lounge chairs and serves you by the heated pool (loved her)

The food is okay, drinks are nice. Very happy we stayed here. We had the luxury suite which was behind the reception and was very happy with it. Breakfast is Amazing!!!

Medina is about 15 mins away by hotel car and it is 15euro each way. After 7pm I think it’s 20 euros each way.. and if you want to visit other locations the driver charges 15euros per destination so this could add up keep in mind.

A pleasant surprise is the hotel transportation is complimentary.

Highly recommend luxury hotel if you want to be away from the loud and smoggy city center.

Another nice choice is the Mamounia in the center.

A rather unusual hotel, but one that takes in all the glories of Africa and displays the necessary Western hospitality.
Service and Food is very very good.
Suite was plentiful and we highly recommend if you are looking for general peace and quiet.
A short stay and thoroughly enjoyable.

My first experience in Marrakech was in 2004, during which I visited uniquely for using the highly reputed hammam.

Upon discoveing this 1001 Nights fantasy palace, I was totally dissapointed that I had not decided to sleep here and promised myself to come back as a full fledged resident.

When you step onto the grounds of the Palais Rhoul, you are immediately suspended in time. Total peace takes hold of you, and everything outside the palace walls seems instantly become distant memory.

Despite what others have written here, attention to detail at the Palais is up to par with any other larger 5 star hotel. But what is deliciously indulging about the Palais Rhoul is its intimate scale. You feel as if you are personally welcomed into a royal home. The staff members are always smiling, always speaking at a murmuring level so as not to disturb the harmony and opulence of the setting. There are several staff members to cater to the needs of each client.
Small details striked me...for instance the staff members dressed in pristine white djelabas during the day, roaming around the grounds making sure everything is impeccable and clients are happy, all the while sprinkling pink flower petals among their paths; and as soon as the sun sets, all of the sudden, staff members are dressed in black djelabas sprinkling white blossoms all around. With the evening lights magnifying the sublime architecture and decor, It is a midsummer night's dream become reality.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during our stay, but the staff members were more than willing to conpensate for that. There where beautiful tables set around the lavish pool every night, and to my surprise, no menu whatsoever. When asked during the day what we might be in the mood to eat that evening, we asked to see the menu. The gentleman replied "We have no menu at the Palais Rhoul. We are here to serve you and create the most pleasurable holiday you can wish for. Whatever you may feel like eating this evening, we will be happy to prepare. And that being said, the chauffeur out to the market to prepare our personal meal with Morroccan flair and a luxurious touch that can only belong to the palais rhoul!!!

We stayed in a poolside room, which i would recommend (we did step into some of the empty tents to check them out, and they are indeed quite breathtaking and fabulously decorated). But the pool is so unique, that I could not image being 10 meters away from it.

The rooms are fabulously appointed and each is unique. Huge soaring ceilings and bay windows overlook the pool with rich, heavy white curtains that you can pull for the privacy of an afternoon nap. Outside all poolside rooms there are oversiwed, plush white sofas on which you can take your breakfast and laze around the day.

The spa is amazing, if not one of the finest in the world - although a bit pricey (expect European prices and not Moroccan prices - our spa services alone amounted to 700 euros over a couple of days).

The only drawback I would say was the birds in the palm trees that woke up to an early start with heavy chirping in the morning. And hot water was a bit hit and miss at times, but this seems to be the case all over Marrakech and they immediately put it back in service.

Bathrooms are large and tubs carved in stone and very deep. All poolside rooms have colonial style balconies overlooking the english garden with white gauze curtains that can be pulled for privacy.

I have travelled around the world several times, stayed in many luxurious boutique hotels, but the Palais Rhoul is a unique experience that I will not hesitate to return to again and again.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Palais-Rhoul in Marrakech and had an amazing experience. We have stayed at many unique locations throughout the world, but Palais-Rhoul was like no other hotel we've ever stayed at. The service is great, the location ideal, and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. However, we did feel the hotel had aspects that could be improved. For example, the hotel only has two restaurants; one of which is strictly French and the other is strictly Moroccan. If you enjoy French or Moroccan cuisine, then you would have no problem with the food the hotel offers. Unfortunately, my husband and I didn't find either of the two restaurants tasty. My main problem with the Moroccan restaurant was that it had no menu. The hotel supposedly said this was so that the guests wouldn't be "restricted to a menu", but if you are not from Morocco, how do you know what Moroccan dish to ask for?

A second drawback was that the beautiful pool the hotel has is not heated, so if you plan on staying at Palais-Rhould during the winter, you can forget about going into the pools--they are too cold! Also, we didn't check before booking our room, but not all rooms at Palais-Rhoul have a television; so if you like watching T.V. make sure to ask.

Overall the hotel was beautiful and if you have no problem with eating only French or Moroccan food, then you will have a great time.

Without the pretense of Amanjena, the Palais Rhoul manages to fit into that rare category of unique excellence.

From the exquisite rooms and breathtaking tents to the unique Hammam, the Palais is unrivaled. More than highly recommended, it's a must for Marrakech.

This was our first trip to Marrakech and we stayed 6 days at the Palais Rhoul for an unforgivable experience. We felt at home the minute we arrived: the atmosphere of the palais is unique with its architecture, decoration and fantastic inner and outer pools. The kindness of the staff is incredible, we always seemed to be their personnal guests. The nature is entering in the palais with trees, water and flowers and gives life to the multiple souvenirs of the Rhoul family travels. The pictures you will find on the internet site can give you a flavor of it, but the smell of the flowers around the pool at breakfast or a diner in front of the fireplace with the parfume of the "olivier" wood, is what you really need to experience! The traditionnal marocco hammam is excellent too with a very professional staff. We needed to relax after stressfull weeks at work and could not find a better way than letting the "maîtres" Ksell take care of us!
The Abyssin, the second restaurant of the palais is a nice mix of modern and traditional styles and the food is fabulous.
A special note about Pierre who did a really nice job providing us with advices to visit special places in Marrakech, monuments, shopping, and restaurants. He organized fantastic tours for us in the "Palmeraie" and desert in front of the Atlas with Quads and was always ready to challenge our special requests. A wonderful and rare sense of hospitality...
This home is a must!

Just returned from our stay in Palais Rhoul, having been meeted and greeted like royaly it soon became apharent that unless you could communicate in french many of the staff whom were eager to please with a nod of the head and a huge smile had no idea what it was you wanted! Frustrated we soon found out who the English speaking staff were and apart from the odd blip everything went well from there.

Having stayed the first night in the poolside Sultanne room which incidently is beautiful we moved into the tented VIP area. It was then under the hospitality of Khalid our holiday with regard to service really came into its own. We have stayed in a number of 1st class hotels from Sardinia to Dubia and without doubt the personal service we recieved from Khalid was in a league of its own. There is nothing he won't do for you, one particular evening my wife made a remark that a wild dog had been barking all day, Khalid replied no problem M'aam I will go and shoot the dog for you!!! (jokingly).

Reception took care of all our restaurant bookings, taxis etc..
and we found them very helpful.

Will certainly return, just wish they could move the Sultanne room into the VIP area!

It was our first trip to Marrakech, we decided to stay 4 nights.
The first thing I recognized was the absolutely extraordinary architecture and Monsieur Rhoul´s collection of fine arts from all over the world -just gorgeous! Paired with almost perfect service and very goog maroccan food in the main house as well as international cuisine at l´Abyssine it made our few days as relaxing as two weeks.
The two cute german shepherds (Rex and Siam) made me feel even more at home. Perfect, if you just want to escape for a few days to a wonderful little "island" of green park spiced with two romantic pools and a traditional spa.

We had a wonderful stay at Palais Rhoul. The hotel and grounds really
have to be seen to be believed.

The general manager is WONDERFUL. He personally greeted us when we arrived and took us through everything about the hotel and worked out
an itinerary for us including finding a tennis coach for my boyfriend
to play tennis with in the hotel court.

The restaurant at the end of the grounds is incredibly serene and you
kind of feel like you are in a dream the whole time. Until you taste the food which is good but not great.

Our room (a suite by the pool) was gorgeous and very dramatic.
Couldn't comment on the situation with the tents.

The only issue I would have with the hotel is the service. It seemed to be very good when the manager was around but very different when he wasn't!

All in all, a great hotel for us. Very easy to get into Marrakech but
at the same time very peaceful.
