Rooms in the Blue Berber are very comfortable and well appointed, with many interesting artefacts and the breakfasts are delicious. Fresh orange juice, freshly baked bread and organic eggs. Abdessadek , your host, was raised in Marrakech and can organise anything you want, from a trip to the hammam or the High Atlas, as well as the best place to buy carpets

Badi, Bahia, Jemaa el fna, Saadian tombs are within walking distance. If you are adventurous, stay in this place. Too much noise from outside. The description showed many amenities- minibar, bathrobe, safe, hairdryer, just to mention a few—- but these were not in the room. You probably have to ask for them. Room was very cold.

Thank you again for your stay at the Majorelle Blue and taking the time to provide your candid feedback. Well, it is the middle of the winter and of course it gets cold at night. In the room you have air condition and there're always extra blankets stored in too. We have both, bathrobe and towels too. If bathrobe’s still wet after the wash, we provide towels instead. Amenities like hairdryers are on request only. The courtyard, saloon on first floor and roof terrace are always been used as lounge and minibar. Only safe box that your room didn’t have at that time because went for repair

The riad is an old, beautiful and traditional space that I think will help guests see what living in Marrakech is really like. Much better than a modern apartment on the outskirts of town. The rooms are stunning and very opulent! The riad is amazingly beautiful, everything works and it's very clean and comfortable. I wouldn't change anything about it! However, it should be noted that because it's a traditional riad not a modern western house, that it's not double glazed, and the shower isn't a modern power shower etc - so please change your expectations accordingly and embrace living in a traditional environment. When searching for the right Riad to book I read several reviews, for several riads, where the reviewer complains about 'hidden fees'. A little research confirms that it is a standard requirement in Marrakech, and all over Morocco, that tourists pay 2.50 Euros per night/per person - this is a tourist tax that goes to the local council, not into the pockets of the riad management. Abi, our host, made our trip very memorable by helping us to understand local custom and just generally how things work in the city. We visited at a quiet time (Feb) and Abi seemed more than happy to spend some time with us just chatting and even took us into the markets to show us about. If we get the opportunity to visit Marrakech again we'll definitely try to book Abi's riad!

Andrew and Lowri stayed with us during Feb 2018. They said the reasons why they have booked this riad are because of its location, tradition style and so on... I’m glad they like it and get just what they looked for. Again, on behalf of the two ladies and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your resent stay and taking the time to provide your feedback for this accommodation. I am sure it will help future travelers who are considering renting this property.

If all you care about in a hotel is location, then this place may be for you. BUT if you care about any of the following, stay AWAY from blue berber! - HIDDEN charges over $30 dollars Beyond what's listed on AirBnB, be ready to dole out $30-50 extra. yes Thirty to Fifty extra US DOLLARS for your stay. These can be random excuses like "taxes and expenses", or "extra stuff", which translates into- daily towels, some hot water we requested. - COLD COLD ROOM If you go between October and March, the rooms are FREEZING. The tiny AC doesn't help. The hot water in shower doesn't come up for a solid 5 minutes. AND you brush your teeth and wash your face in freezing water too. and you have to dress yourself, shivering, in the dimly lit room- all in 40F weather! OH plus, we had FIVE layers of blankets on us at night and my fingers were still freezing. Heater? What heater, the owner is too stingy to invest in those. There was only ONE electric heater for all 6 rooms. So first come first serve! What a pleasure! - VALUE Even compared to other Riads/hotels I stayed in Morroco, Blue berber is NOT a good value. AND I was not charged any hidden fees at any other hotels. Plus I got 1) better lighting, 2) warm rooms, 3) Hot water in seconds, 4) modern amenities, and 5) a swimming pool, all for a comparable price. SO don't let blue berber ruin your trip. It's NOT worth it!!!

M Booked 3 nights and with her stayed C during December, 2017. Middle of the winter, of course it is was cold, but the room they stayed in has air condition constantly on and extra blankets stored in wardrobe if needed too. They were arriving at different times and each ordered a taxi to the RIAD (house). However, C arrives at 5 pm and all was fine. But, for M, wasn’t really too sure of her journey, time, neither if she was coming by a bus or train from Casablanca to Marrakesh, and she was very insisting that she needs someone (driver) to wait for her at the TRAIN STATION from 01:00-02:00am. Of course I arranged for this, made a driver waiting for her at the TRAIN STATION from 01:00-03:00am and she never shows up because she came by BUSS not TRAIN like she said at the confirming time! At the end of their stay, I asked M for the taxi fee that I’ve ordered for her, she start complaining that she didn’t see anyone waiting for her at the bus station and refused to pay for the taxi as well as other things they’ve ordered during the stay. Regarding to what C called HIDDEN charges over $30 dollars; these are the fees for 2 taxies and city tax at Euros 2.5 per person per night that goes to the Local authority and tourism. I believe this information is very crystal and clear mentioned in the description of this property on site they used to book.

The family that runs this Riad exemplifies hospitality. Always helpful and friendly in every encounter. Marrakech can be really hit or miss, but this place is a gem. I spent 4 nights there and I can't imagine a better place to stay.

We loved our stay at the Riad Blue Berber. Upon arrival we had tea with Abe, the owner. He is very kind and helpful. We had a great sized room with a comfortable bed. The decor is beautiful and traditional. We enjoyed the air conditioner on hot days. It was quiet at night but a 3 minute walk away from the popular market. We would recommend!

Super cute Riad in the middle of everthing. The owner, Abi is a very smart host! The room was super cute and clean. Abi offered us a typically Moroccan tea and told us a lot about Morocco and where to go.

We really enjoyed the riad, welcoming staff, excellent location near the place. The Majorelle room for three people is wonderful, very neatly decorated (some noise from the street under though). Beds are really good, with lots of warm blankets, nice hot water in the shower, wi-fi works well. It was a bit fresh in February though but it must be really nice in April. Only 3 stars because of the terrace that we could not use during our stay, the deckchairs were dirty, preventing you from lying down. A tarp has been set up for winter, thus the terrace was not that great but I am sure that it must be very nice in summer time. Mustafa is always there for good advices if needed.

Thanks for your stay at Riad Blue Berber and the wonderful feedback. Anyway, we do have a daily cleaning lady. So, to have your room done just ask for it, it’s free of charges service, but not every guest’s wanted. Regarding the room you’ve booked was listed as a suite with a portable heater and fan. Of course we do have a lot's of warm blankets just feel free to ask.
