The Palacio de las Especias recovers the splendour of a building erected in the 19th century. The building was originally owned by the Echerid family, who were spice merchants but, unfortunately, the years and neglect had taken their toll. Today, respecting the original building, but adapting it to provide the comfort that an establishment of this nature deserves, it opens its rooms from within the heart of the Medina, in order to provide its visitors with the enjoyment and relaxation they are looking for. The decor of its rooms, the coolness of its patios, the murmuring of its fountains and the peaceful evenings on the terrace mean that resting inside its rooms becomes the happy ending to a perfect day.

This Riad is a Nice place to stay. It is beautifully decorated and the rooftop terrace is great. However, there are a few things that made the stay less enjoyable. First of all the breakfast is served very late, and is really nothing special. Supposedly the breakfast is served

Lovely small Ryad, very centrally located. A quiet place with a home feel. I loved reading by the fire in the evening. Lounging on the sunroof in the morning and sipping tea in the courtyard. Breakfast was glorious each day with special dishes. Simply perfect.

I stayed at Riad Palacio de las Especias with two friends for three nights, although one of them had to leave after the first night. Booking was smooth and owner Jose was always efficient with his response. He recommended that we stay in the Suite Bab Er-Raha for the three of us

How many rooms do you offer?
I'll let the hotel reply, but it's only a handful of rooms, 8 or so if I recall correctly. Really cosy atmosphere

Hello, the parking is a public one (price around 3 or 4 € for day), at only 200 mts. from the hotel. If you are going to arrive by car, you must to go to PARKING RIAD LAROUSSE (it sounds like riad larús), you can see here our street (SIDI BOUAMAR, 35), in the fourth alley on right hand, is our riad, at only 200mts. from the parking. Anyway take with you the telephone numbers of the hotel in case anyway unexpected would happen. via email we will send you a situation map. Regards
