Riad Hikaya is a luxury boutique hotel located in the royal quarter of the medina, called the 'Kasbah', and only an easy walk from the main square, Jemaa al Fnaa, and the city's other famous landmarks. It took more than four years of meticulous restoration by local craftsmen and artisans, employing both age old techniques and materials, to transform the riad into what it is today. The two roof terraces, planted with orange, lemon, grapefruit and pomegranate trees, offer superb, open views onto the snow capped Atlas mountains. Guests are welcome to eat in our restaurant or on one of our roof terraces to make the most of the view.Included in the room rate:• Moroccan/Continental breakfast• Remote controlled air conditioning and heating for the cooler months• Fresh fruit & mineral water• Fresh flowers• "Sens de Marrakesh" toiletries• Babouche - his and hers• Flat screen tv / satellite channels• Nightly turn down service with rose petals• Ipod docking station• Free wifi internet access

We found ourselves in Marrakech as the borders were closing. The staff at the Riad were so helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so grateful. The Riad is perfect in terms of facilities and location and while they are facing a difficult time, when the world returns to normal they deserve all the support possible as a visit here will not disappoint.

We spent 5 nights at this fabulous Riad we stayed in the Hubb room on the ground floor next to the heated pool. beautiful room. 1st time in Marrakech and wished we had stayed for a week. We felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived. The manager Wadia is superb, caring and helpful. He arranged and booked the restaurants and day trips without any fuss. They also arranged the taxi transfers to and from the airport. The lovely ladies were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed an intimate dinner by the candlelit pool on our first night, wonderful. Excellent freshly prepared dishes that tasted delicious. We used the pool several times including late at night as was told we can enter anytime. John the owner met us and gave us a very detailed explanation of some great tips on how to get around the city safely and recommend some fabulous restaurants and places to visit. He has a real passion that shows in the attention to style and detail and that follows through with his recommendations that I felt completely trusting in him. The whole experience made our stay unforgettable. We ate breakfast on the rooftop most mornings and also by the pool. Breakfast was plentiful, healthy and a good selection of pastries, eggs and fruit salad with homemade yogurt tea, fresh orange juice. The hotel is very quiet, comfortable and relaxing we slept peacefully every night. We had a magical time here I can’t wait to return. A huge THANK YOU to all at Riad Hikaya See you next year.

The scene was set, 15 hungry people eagerly awaiting the evening meal, notes of concern rippled through the mass , how can such a small kitchen cope, how can four young girls serve us all at the same time with such style and panach, would we have to seek out the nearest chip shop( if there was one) , do not fear I relayed to the clamouring multitude , lucky enough to be able to appreciate the finer qualities of life 7 times we have visited this fine establishment , not once have we had cause to be any less than totally enthralled by the abilities of the Riad Hikya to look after all it's guest to the highest standards, and so it proved yet again service, quality attention to detail and a complement of staff you would be hard pushed to better anywhere in the world gave us another excellent evening (one of many) .I have written reviews for this Riad several times , all sing the same song if you wish to spend quality time in a very lively city with every whim catered for this is the place for you.

Where do I begin? We had an absolutely amazing time at Riad Hikaya. From the moment we were met at the airport and taken to Hikaya, we were treated not as customers but more as life long friends coming to visit. We were made very welcome by the wonderful staff and nothing was a problem. My friend and I stayed for 4 nights and had asked for recommendations on what to see and do as it was our first visit to Marrakech. They arranged activities based on our interests - a guided tour of the Medina - essential to get your bearings and helpful to understand some of the culture. An evening street food tour, a cooking class and a day's excursion to the Atlas Mountains. All of these, we thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend. Riad Hikaya is beautifully decorated and furnished, comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms with both shower and deep baths and very reasonably priced. We were also blown away by the food in Hikaya, everything homemade and cooked fresh, breakfast with fruit, delicious yogurt, different local breads/pastries every day and eggs cooked to order - more than you can eat. The Lamb Tagine on our first night was the best we tasted even better than the top restaurants we tried the other nights during our stay. We are already planning another visit to this serene haven in the bustling Medina.
