This Riad is small but charming. The owner is very helpful--he is actually English-and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ample and delicious. It is really a great place to stay. We had to leave very early in the morning to catch our plane the staff was there with food and they escorted us to our taxi... More

We'd actually booked a week in a posh hotel in Essaouira but the weather was so bad we decided to hop on a bus for the city. A previous riad we'd stayed in recommended Alan at Riad El Zohar. We arrived in the pouring rain and were immediately given hot drinks and biscuits, which were very welcome under the circumstances.... More

From the moment we arrived we could not have been more welcomed. Allan is the perfect host, gracious, kind, funny and helpful. We had not visited Marrakech before so needed all the information he could give us. We never stepped out the door without he pointed us in the right direction, something we valued as a couple who don't have... More

This was our favorite riad stay during our 10 day trip to Morocco. The riad itself is beautifully decorated with a delightful rooftop area that is perfect for taking a swim and relaxing in the sun after a long day, having a romantic dinner under the stars, or viewing the sunrise while listening to the morning calls to prayer as... My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and absolutely loved it. From the very moment we met Allan and his amazing team we knew we were in for a treat. The hospitality was second to none with nothing being too much trouble. Allan's sense of humour, his knowledge of the city and history of Morocco were... More

A true oasis of calm, we loved our stay here. Highlights were a candlelit tagine served on the roof top terrace under the stars on arrival and the breakfasts! They were AMAZING and a real effort was made to specifically cater for my daughter who is coeliac. Alan is the perfect host, very welcoming and his recommendations for exploring Marrakesh... More

Was an amazing experience! Allan was very welcoming, even going through the trouble of walking us to our restaurant, our spa etc. The rooms were clean, the staff were great and the riadh was so incredibly beautiful!

Somewhat terrifying arrival by night after stepping off the plane and following a baggagiste through the Medina. Really welcoming owner, showed us around the beautiful riad and was totally knowledgeable about every element of Marrakech, brilliant suggestions. Lovely mint tea and biscuits on arrival. The roof terrace was incredible - the view over Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains in the... More
