Our receptionists are skilled at answering your pre-booking queries AND everything that can possibly make your stay in Marrakesh a holiday to remember. We will welcome you to our riad as we would friends coming to stay in our home. We have 12 rooms, individually styled. Our riad has a long history of ruin and grandeur, like many old riads, in the middle of the old city of Marrakesh. There is an interesting story behind everything in Morocco. We are perfectly situated at the entrance to the old souk and close to the Djemma el Fna Square. Taxis and transport are just outside our door. We have a swimming pool and hammam, jacuzzi and sun longing rooftop area. We offer practical advice and warm, caring support during your stay. We have a good restaurant onsite - with a delicious breakfast but also open for evening meals - some delicious Moroccan food alongside Italian specials, a local musician and rooftop views. Come stay with us and you will not be disappointed!

My wife and I stayed for three nights at Riad Dar Anika and would highly recommend it. I did wonder if it would be too noisy being so close to the centre (my wife is a light sleeper) but not at all; it’s a calm oasis in the middle of Marrakesh. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a very relaxing afternoon on the terrace of the nearby Dar Kaiss which is a sister hotel and ended up having our (included) breakfast there for the second and third mornings. Two hotels for the price of one!

We booked our stay here based on 2000 fabulous reviews on trip advisor, it doesn't match up to these reviews in our opinion. It was noisy, we tried 3 rooms before leaving to spend the rest of our vacation elsewhere, pool and hot tub were cold. Dinner was poor.

Walked past this place in the Medina, booked for evening meal, booking was simple and straightforward. So glad we did, on arrival the ambience was calm and very stylish. Food was fantastic and the service impeccable. Clearly has a good reputation from the numbers of diners. Easily the best tagine I've had and my partners beef was reportedly very tender and subtlety spiced. Worth every dirham and a wonderful dining experience.

The staff made our visit. Ahmed the manager was so helpful from our arrival where we were given mint tea and dates. He organised our days with guided tours and excellent trip to Atlas mountain. The restaurant manager Mohammed along with the breakfast staff were most pleasant beautifully mannered and jolly at all times. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Each night a basket of fresh fruit and dates were left in our room along with hot water bottles in our bed💕. When we were leaving for the airport we were given a bag of sandwiches and fresh fruit. Thank you all. We will be back

Was excited to stay here. The Riad is beautiful and in a great location to get to the markets. Lots of restaurants near. We were disappointed in the room for the price. The room is small and does not meet the websites description of the room. For example, the deluxe room list amenities like a sofa and fireplace. I didn’t need this, but chose to pay more because it seems it would be larger and we wanted to splurge. I’m still not sure I received the right room. The room itself is small but the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is OK, but for a hotel of this price, I expected nicer towels and more of them. No hand towels or washcloths. I asked for an additional towel and was given a similar towel, but very worn. Breakfast was very good and the staff is friendly. I just believe you can find better amenities for this price elsewhere.

Beautiful relaxing restaurant with melodic lute player. Excellent food and service. The tranquility of the restaurant was a lovely antidote to the bombardment of all your senses outside. If you need a break from the electric medina this is a must.

Lovely Riad! Staff all very friendly. On arrival we were talked through a map of the city and do’s and dont’s. Easy walking distance to the square within 10 minutes. Amazing food, the breakfast was incredible loads of choice. We also enjoyed a wonderful Hammam. Only negative is we didn’t stay longer.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Dar Anika from start to finish. On arrival we were greeted with mint tea, dates and cookies while Ezma (apologies for my bad spelling!) took us through the facilities, a map of the area and nearby tourist attractions. Excellent location around 10-15 mins walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, and easy to arrange taxis to further away attractions. Our room was gorgeous, really clean with a large comfortable bed and a terrace where we enjoyed coffee in the afternoon. Bottled water, fruit and cookies were replenished daily which was a lovely touch. Breakfast each morning was brilliant, so much food including traditional morrocan soup, bread, cakes, fruit, yogurt and the option for eggs, varied each morning - it kept us full for the day! We also had dinner here one night which was delicious. The whole atmosphere in the riad is really chilled, there are areas inside and out to sit and relax including a roof terrace to soak up the last of the sun. I only used the pool a couple of times on warmer days, a lovely way to cool off after walking around the Medina. My partner and I used the hammam on our last day (we checked out at midday and left our bags in reception until our transfer to the airport in the evening). The hammam is like nothing I've ever experienced and we found it a great way to relax before a flight. If I had to suggest things to improve, the shower in our room took quite a while to heat up but was fine once it was warm. The wifi was also a bit patchy in our room. These did nothing to take away from how great this place is. Everyone who works here has been so helpful and friendly throughout our whole stay, we couldn't have asked for better service. We loved our stay and hope to visit again!

Such a beautiful riad and the location is great. It's just inside the gates of the medina and about a 10 minute walk to Jemaa el Fna square. Check-in is done in the lobby area where you are seated in a beautiful room and served mint tea and cookies while the paperwork is completed and they take the bags to your room. The room was very nice. It was comfortable and felt authentic. We had beautiful stained glass windows but they were covered up by some sort of pillow/mattress and behind drapes. We immediately opened them up and stored the mattresses in the closet! Not sure why they were covered. There was no issue with noise or light. The room was also covered in rose petals! Very nice! And in the evenings, they did a turn down service with hot water bottles. Nice touch and great on my feet after touring all day. The shower wasn't perfect. The temperature varied wildly, from scorching hot to ice cold and if we wanted hot water in the tub, it filled VERY slowly. But it was good enough and we experienced this same issue at all but 1 of the places we stayed in Morocco (5 different ones). There is a free electrical outlet on each side of the bed. The one on my side was a switched outlet and I took me a minute to figure out why it wasn't working! The staff is so welcoming and goes out of their way to be helpful. We arranged transportation from the airport through them and the driver was waiting for us right outside the airport. It was very easy. We were exhausted touring one day and the staff helped us order pizza delivery so we didn't have to go back out! We did the hammam at the riad and it was ok. We have no experience with hammam so I have nothing to compare it too but it wasn't as relaxing as I expected. The benches you lay on are tile/concrete and the scurb is very rough. I think this is just how hammam is! The woman who performed it was very kind and seemed very experienced. I love massage an the spa and I wouldn't do it again. We also did a massage and it was fine, not the best I've had but enjoyable. They offer wine and cocktails in the lobby, which is nice. Not all riads in Morocco do. We like to have drinks in the evening and it was nice to sit in the lobby by the fire and chat about our day and review our photos. The mojito was one of the best I've ever had! There is a rooftop that has lounge chairs and a hot tub (which was cold). I would have expected it to be turned on in February. We didn't ask about it as we didn't have time to use it. They brought snacks and wine up for us one evening to watch the sunset. And it looks like they are in the process of renovating the area. It's a nice space and I hope they use it more in the future. I have a few suggestions if Dar Anika would like to step up their game. First is the lighting. The lighting in the room is really dim. It was ok for us because we didn't need any task lighting but if you were planning to catch up on any work or need bright light to see for packing or dressing, you might have a problem. The lighting in the bathroom was bad for makeup, too. I ended up sitting at the desk by the window with a mirror to do my makeup. That only works when it's daylight so if you're a makeup-wearer and need light, I'd suggest bringing a lighted mirror. Second is to offer complimentary tea, coffee and/or water in the lobby. It's not expensive to do and would really add to the ambiance. Breakfasts are plentiful and good. Moroccans eat a lot of carbs! But they also offer yogurt, fruit, and eggs. We also had dinner one night and enjoyed that. The tagine I had here was my favorite of the trip. It had noodles of some sort and was delicious! I highly recommed Dar Anika wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we return to Morocco.
