I have just returned from 3 nights at the Riad and although I am not a frequent reviewer, I really wanted to share (like so many of these reviews) what a wonderful stay I had at the Riad and what a warm, welcoming home away from home Jacqueline has created. Every part of our experience with her and the Riad was a true delight. From a smooth arrival, to discovering our beautiful rooms, delicious breakfasts and a consistently warm welcome - I am already excited to return sometime in the hopefully near future. We were also lucky to arrive in a quiet period, meaning Jacqueline also offered me my own room, despite my initial booking to share with my mum which was a real treat and underlines how considerate and generous a person Jacqueline was for our whole trip. We travelled for my mum's birthday and her room had been decorated on arrival, Outside the Riad the location is also great, right in the Medina, close to some fabulous restaurants and a short walk to the Souqs and Jama El f'na. Don't even hesitate to book!

I enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Marrakech thanks in no small part to Riad Jnane D'o.

Everything was perfect from the connection at the airport, beautiful room to the delicious breakfast every morning. I really appreciated the attention to detail.

Jacqueline is a wonderful host and was always available to offer help and advice. With a convenient location, great rooms and support I wholly recommend anyone visiting Marrakech to stay at the Riad Jnane D'o.

Riad Jnane d’Ô is a little gem hidden amongst the alleys of the Medina in Marrakesh. It’s conveniently located only minutes away from the Dar El Bacha Museum. A smallish Riad tastefully decorated by artifacts; both local and from abroad and artwork many of which are painted by the owner, madame Jacqueline.

The Riad had a few large rooms and offered highly personalized service. As soon as we booked pickup was offered as a free service. Jacqueline offered suggestions and helped book restaurants but only if you wanted.

Apart from the personalized service another quality that set apart our stay was the breakfast; abundant and comprising of freshly prepared delicacies, it was a treat every morning!

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed in. Beautifully restored Riad attention to the smallest detail combining authenticity with comfort and cleanliness. Garden one rooftop garden peaceful and relaxing after the chaos of Marrakesh
Excellent breakfast and served beautifully in a magical setting.
Our host Jaqueline was very professional generous with her time and knowledge while at the same time not intrusive.
One of the most comfortable beds and pillows We have slept in
Regrettably our five star hotel in Agadir would need to take to take tips from this wonderful residence
We have found our go to place in Marrakesh
Thank you again Jacqueline for a memorable stay.

Marakech is an incredible city and Riad Jnane d'Ô is a haven in the beautiful mayhem of the medina.
Peace and tranquility with incredible service. Jacalyn is the perfect hostess making you feel welcome and at home whilst secretly making all the little details that make a perfect break happen.
Breakfast was a daily adventure tasting daily surprises of freshly baked pastries , fruit and of course the freshly brewed tea.
The whole riad was beautifully decorated with our room full of character and charm.

Merci for a wonderful stay!

Jacqueline, the resident owner of Riad Jnane D’O, is a fantastic host for whom nothing is too much of a problem. Hospitality starts at the airport, where our complimentary driver greeted us at the gate, and it never stops. Mint tea on the terrace? Not a problem.

The staff are wonderful too. Courteous and always on hand when needed.

The Raid has been wonderfully restored by Jacqueline, using traditional materials and local artisans. Tasteful artefacts and rich colours create a bohemian atmosphere. The courtyard is a peaceful sanctuary, with four mature orange trees as its main feature. The only sounds are of wild songbirds singing in the trees.

The rooftop terrace provides a further place to relax, with places to lounge in the sun or to sit and admire the minarets set against the snow capped Atlas mountains.

Wi-fi was excellent and we had no problem with signal in our room or any of the public places.

All 5 rooms are uniquely decorated and furnished. We upgraded to the Terre de Feu Suite and felt the extra comforts more than justified small extra cost.

Overall. Highly recommended.

Our Marrakech Tips.

The Dar El Bacha Musée was one of our favourite visits. It’s only 300m from the riad but a little of the standard tourist route and therefore does not rank highly on the recommended lists. Be careful not to take any pictures of the Dar El Bacha Palace guards!

Our favourite place to eat was Hotel La Maison Arabe, 5 minutes walk away. Fantastic food and 5* service. Best to book.

European style cafes are few and far between. If you want a change from tajine and couscous try Le Markech, opposite Koutoubia Minaret. They also serve wine!

We had a very good stay at this riad.
It has a good position in the medina of Marrakech.
Rooms are large and fine decorated. Bathroom is with shower.
Breakfast is great and served with style.
We had a fine dinner in the riad one evening.
We tried the Hammam with massage and scrub.
We had one day trip to the Atlas mountains, called 7 valleys.
Dinner, hammam and daytrip was at an extra cost, but worth while.
Absoloutly a great stay.

This is a hidden gem In the heart of the medina! Close to loads of secret restaurants, spas, henna cafes, and shops that we may not have otherwise found! Jaqueline's Riad is a total paradise and welcome retreat from the mad noise, hustle and bustle of the souk outside! All the staff were great. They completely spoiled us and my boyfriend for his 30th birthday! Decorating the room and preparing a fabulous Moroccan meal complete with a gorgeous birthday cake and a bottle of champagne! Breakfast was prepared whenever we woke up, wether that be 6am or 11 and was offered on the roof top terrace or court yard on the ground, whatever we preferred. The roof top terrace is a gorgeous place to chill and read a book, take in some rays and recharge. It has high walls for privacy and is surrounded in colourful plants and flowers. Our room (out of Africa suite) was beautiful! Decorated daily with new flowers and petal designs on the bed. The bed was huge and super comfy! Bathroom had everything you needed. His & her sink, mirrors, bathrobes and towels. Toiletries are provided aswel as massage oil and a hairdryer. The small alleyways from the souk leading to the riad are manned by a security guard. A Denzel Washington lookalike of a day (8-8) he was so friendly and helpful. When we had an excursion booked with a local agency the representative who was supposed to meet us did not turn up. This security guy (Denzel) without asking took it upon himself to call the shop, he escorted us to the the bus so we didn't miss our trip! Of a night (8-8) an older man took over, another gent, always guided us to our front door with a light before saying goodnight. Jaqueline was very helpful calling restaurants booking tables for us. Printing our boarding cards etc. She is very unique and thoughtful giving us parting gifts to take home and arranging food when we first arrived. It has free wifi throughout and return private airport pick up service included! would definitely recommend this riad if you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to lay your head in a busy manic city!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Riad Jnane d'O - from our friendly complementary pick up from the airport, to the incredible welcome from Jacqueline (the owner) - our entire stay was comfortable and relaxed. It is right by a small road of shops where you can stock up on bottled water for trips, snacks or souvenirs but just 15 minutes walk to the activity and chaos of the main square. We walked everywhere from the riad, the square, the souks, Majorelle gardens, Ben Youssef Madrasa - nowhere was more than 30 minutes away. Perfect for a few days of complete escape!

A few pointers -
Mint tea and traditional biscuits on the roof terrace is a MUST when you arrive to get you in the spirit.
Have at least one meal in the Riad - the woman who cooks is amazing.
Ask Jacqueline about the private Hammam off the courtyard - it is AMAZING, my skin has never been so soft!
