We enjoyed a couple of nights at Palais Sebban in December. The riad is well located, we could walk to all the main attractions. The hotel provided us with a useful map on arrival. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed some time relaxing on one of the many terraces after a morning of exploring - this was a particular highlight of the property. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but breakfast was okay; it was quite busy so it took us a while to be served and for food to be replenished. Overall a very easy and comfortable stay - would definitely recommend.

Excellent location just a few minutes from a main road so handy if you want to go outside the Medina yet only a 5 minute walk to the main square and all the hustle and bustle. If you arrange a transfer the taxi takes you to the wall and the Riad staff come to meet you to guide you and to help with the luggage. They serve you mint tea in the courtyard on arrival and offer advice on where to visit. They can arrange trips but there is no pressure and the one trip we booked through them was superb. The building is breathtaking, every area is beautiful, the courtyard is so peaceful, the rooftop terrace has sunny spots and shade with lots of beds and seating. The staff were all wonderful, so friendly and helpful and they all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Lots of choice at breakfast, fruit, fresh bread, eggs, sweet and savoury options, freshly squeezed orange juice, teas, coffee. Rooms were cleaned every day while we ate breakfast. We were in the standard rooms, they were lovely and cosy with extra blankets and pillows, a safe, hot showers, free toiletries and a bottle of water plus a mini bar if required. The beds were comfy and the rooms very quiet- the only noise was from birds chirping in the morning. The restaurant was excellent, food and drinks at a reasonable price with a good selection of wines and spirits plus draught and bottled beers. Too cold to try the pools but they looked beautiful and very clean. An absolute delight to stay here, thank you for making our trip so special.

Want to feel like royalty? Youssef is outstanding. Unbelievably patient and kind. An absolute asset to have. He took the time to welcome us, provide complimentary tea (which was incredible) and give us directions. No matter what we asked him, he would do it with the biggest smile on his face. The hotel rooms are beautiful, decorated with the true Moroccan style. If you’re usually cold, like me, then bring warm pyjamas because the rooms are all tiled. The location is excellent. Walking distance from all the main places you want to see and not too far from a main street, so it’s safe to walk around. Humble but incredibly delicious buffet breakfast too. They also kept our luggage for us while we roamed around Marrakesh until we left and they were so kind and accommodating. Staying here was truly my favourite part of being in Marrakesh!

We had mixed feelings about the Riad during our stay in Marrakesh. On the one hand, the Riad is quite beautiful. The tile work throughout the interiors is gorgeous and the public sitting areas offer a really serene experience during the day. We were delighted when we first arrived at the location and beautiful of this restored Riad. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the Riad is kept very clean. I cannot say enough good things about the front desk staff and the cleaning crew.

But beware, the Riad is quite noisy. The rooms are mostly situated around a courtyard and live music is played fairly late into the evening while serving dinner outside. You can hear everything— music, conversation, loud shutting of doors, walking around etc. Part of the problem is the room doors are made of glass and provide very little noise buffer. It is especially noisy in the evenings and morning- not ideal. This is not the place for you if you want quiet and restful sleep. I had to sleep with headphones playing white noise and an eye mask to block it all out. We also stayed here over New Years, which I would never recommend. The Riad threw a dinner party and we were told it went until midnight. We paid $175 (1400 dirham) per person for a dinner and entertainment, which felt like the biggest waste of our money by the end. The meal was not adequate, very small portions (one course was TWO raviolis, we never were given the appetizers that were sort of passed around, went to bed hungry). The entertainment was enjoyable at first, but just continued on throughout the night. Very loud live music was played in the courtyard until at least 2am and could not be drowned out even by headphones and earplugs. We were pretty upset since the party was supposed to end at midnight. Many guests did not attend the “dinner” and I’m sure were very annoyed by not being able to sleep. We understand that it was a New Year’s celebration, but I think guests should be given fair warning before booking if there will be a loud, all-night party. The party was given in the open spaces between the rooms and the noise traveled to every corner of the small hotel. We had an excursion planned the next morning and wanted to get some sleep, so we were deeply frustrated. When I asked the front desk at 1:15am how long it would be going on for, I was told there wasn’t an end time. I think our frustration was doubled by feeling like we were ripped off by the price of the party that we didn’t enjoy. We paid about as much for the two of us to attend the “dinner” as we did for a four-night stay. We considered asking for a refund, either for the mediocre dinner or the lost night of sleep, but decided we didn’t want to deal with the hassle.

If you are a heavy sleeper or travel when there isn’t a party going on, I’m sure you’d have a fairly pleasant stay based on other reviews. For our specific circumstances, we were a bit disappointed in having this as one of our stops on our honeymoon.

The Riad like most Riad’s is very quiet off the main souks in the main town and is easily accessible via the main road.

We stayed here for 3 nights and when we first arrived we found our room did not have a TV as stated by Travel Republic and advised the staff who were very courteous and upgraded us to a bigger room with a TV and balcony, which was very nice of them.

The owner is very personable and a nice place to stay with a fair price for the room.

The Breakfast I must say is terrible, it seemed liked somebody had just left put out last night leftovers from their fridge, don’t bother with breakfast and dinner whilst just being okay, consisted of small portions and overly priced.

Overall nice place to stay and priced fairly for the room.

We stayed here for 6 nights and were very impressed with the beautiful common areas. Every time I walked into the riad or out of my room, I was so impressed with the beauty of the various courtyards, the winding passages up to the multiple levels and terraces, and the many areas to sit. However, our first room was rather cramped, all the furniture was wobbly and the bathroom was not really a separate room from the bedroom, which made for very tight living quarters. It was also right off one of the main courtyards so a bit noisy. We asked to switch rooms and the staff obliged. The next room we had was much more spacious and well-appointed but unfortunately it smelled very strongly of sewer. After two nights in this room, we couldn’t take any more sewer smell and the staff switched us to a third room. This third room didn’t have any sewer smell and was well appointed, so suited us fine. We booked a deluxe room, and all 3 rooms were fine, but not up to a 4 or 5 star standard. The beds were of marginal quality, one of the rooms didn’t have a working safe and one of the rooms didn’t have a properly functioning shower head. No robes or slippers were provided in the deluxe room, and in two of the rooms, the heat was not sufficient at night to feel fully warm. We never got to a feeling of being cozy or “at home” and I think generally the hotel photos give a feeling of greater luxury and comfort than we received. The staff was generally very nice and helpful, but that can’t make up for the fact that the hotel didn’t live up to a 4-Star level of room comfort. I can’t speak to any other riads but if I return to Marrakesh, I will probably opt to stay in a modern hotel and take day trips to the Medina rather than staying in the Medina in a riad. This riad is a beautiful place to visit for a drink/tea.

We had the pleasure of staying at raid palais Sebban, everything about it is wonderful, it might not have been the best month to visit (45° most days) they made our stay so happy.
All the staff right down to the gardener was alway friendly couldn't do enough for you. The room cleaned every day, breakfast was always fresh plenty of fruit, egg's, cold meats, pancakes, & cakes.
The restaurant served traditional food & snacks through the day, which was very enjoyable.
I know if I return it's a place I'd love to revisit. Thank you
Diane & John

I can’t stress enough how magical this riad is. From the moment we stepped in, we were enchanted by all the beautiful details! From the stone to the wood to the furniture, the entire place was a work of art. Pictures do not do it justice, you don’t want to miss visiting here.

In addition, Not only did they restore this riad to traditional Moroccan and Andalusian perfection, but they also staffed it with the most hospitable employees who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Abdul took great care of us for our welcome tea and delicious dinner at the riad. Others upgraded us to an amazing room that literally made our jaws drop with awe (we were floored and couldn’t believe we were so lucky). The breakfasts were also bountiful with lots of unique options for a pair of vegetarian/vegan travelers, a truly unique experience and the best hotel breakfast we had in all of Morocco.

It was a dream to stay here! Thank you for everything, we will treasure this experience forever.

I stayed at this beautiful riad for 6 days. This place is breath taken. The room are beautiful and the staff is friendly and professional and always willing to help. I really love the place. Now I have to speak on the cons this place have alot of cats running around. You see cats everywhere all day long. And they are even by you as you have your morning 🌄 breakfast and your dinner at night 🌉. I don't find it very professional to have so many csts on the property. And also the food is not very good its basic and blan. And I also want to tell people that the breakfast is free but you pay for dinner. And the price of dinner you want no the price you are paying until you check out because they don't have a menu with the price on it. The manager from France was so friendly and always had a smile 😃 on his face all the people who work here was just so kind and nice.

Every nook and crannie in this hotel is beautiful. It is a perfectly maintained traditional riad. Breakfasts and dinners were lovely. The rooftop terrace is also beautiful but unfortunately not high enough to see out over the city. The bar atop is only sporadically staffed but there is bar service on the ground floor too.
The pool seems to be only ornamental as it is right in the middle of a restaurant and was freezing cold when we were there in March, though it was great for soaking my sore legs after hiking the Atlas Mountains.
Our room was a bit small, the bed small and hard, and the room had a horrible smell which seems to come from the bathroom drains which we kept covered. We asked the hotel to fix and they sort of did but it kept coming back. We burned incense from Bali which helped and eventually the hotel opened the small window at the top of the shower which helped.
The staff was attentive, however, we found the owners to be unfriendly and dismissive of the guests, entertaining their own friends loudly, in French.
