Travellers' Choice
Opened in 2007, Les Borjs de la Kasbah is an intimate boutique hotel with just 18 en-suite rooms, from Singles to Suites, combining all the character of a traditional riad with an excellent range of facilities and modern comforts and the professionalism of a friendly and dedicated staff of 25. Close to the Royal Palace and a 15-20 minute walk from the famous Jemaa el Fna square, the hotel has a fully licenced bar, a gastronomic restaurant featuring Moroccan as well as French cuisine, 3 lounges and a meeting room, all with free Wifi. A few yards from the hotel's main patio a secluded leisure area features a 10m swimming pool (a rarity in the Kasbah and, indeed, in the medina) and a SPA with traditional marble-clad hammam and treatment rooms where a variety of massages, facials and other treatments can be enjoyed. There is direct access to the hotel's front door by car, minibus or horse-drawn calèche.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The hotel was exceptional. We received such great assistance from the owners, thanks Nora and all your very friendly staff for making our time in Marrakech so comfortable. The restaurant was also excellent, it was the only place in the whole of Morocco we were able to order wine and we were able to enjoy some great Moroccan wine. The food was probably the best we had in Morocco which says a lot because we were in Morocco for 10 days and tried many restaurants. The rooms were amazing and we were so comfortable. Thanks for everything! If you’re thinking of staying at this wonderful hotel, this is your sign to book it now, 100% recommend.

Hotel's Favourite
There are so many riads in Marrakech some claiming to be familiar some to be luxury but the Borjs de la Kasbah combines both offering a welcoming atmosphere with the friendliest staff ever in a superb place. The Borjs de la Kasbah has its own Spa and Hamam offering one of the best massages we ever had and an own pool which we really enjoyed in the afternoons after our tours when it was getting very hot in the city. We only booked Bed and Breakfast because we originally intended to go out in the evenings for different restaurants, but then stayed for the dinner as the Chef is excellent the waiters super friendly and everything is home made. Delicious. Not forgetting the Riad is situated in the South of the Kasbah in a quiet place next to the royal palace. It is accessible by car so you don't have to carry your luggage through the streets and offers excursions and dricvers to fair prices. Is is a 15 minutes walk to the Djema al Fna through a safe and touristically not to spoiled quarter. All in all we enjoyed it a lot and are planing to come back as soon as possible. Thank you to Tom, Nora and all the staff for a great holiday!

Les Borjs de la Kasbah is a beautiful property in the heart of Marrakech which prides itself on great attentive service, authentic food and beautiful surroundings. The spa offers great treatments - Hammam treatments, massages and pedicures were a great way to relax after busy days in the markets of Marrakech. The excursions organised by the Hotel to Jardin Majorelle and The Atlas Mountains were both excellent. All of the staff made us feel so welcome and attended to our every needs. Definitely a place I will return to in the future.

Just like the other places I stayed. This place was hard to reach but it was possible to drive a small car right to the hotel. It was well decorated- very charming. To get around the place was a bit challenging as it was like a maze. You can reach attractions by walking. Or you can use taxi or tuk-tuk to get around. My room was very nice and spacious.

From the warmth of the first greeting to helping to load our cases, it would have been impossible not to feel the pride of every staff member in making our stay feel quite exceptional. Congratulations to Tom and Nora your dedication to excellent service is obvious. Everything was made so easy for us from helping to organise airport transport, providing spotless and beautifully decorated surrounds and rooms, very comfortable beds and great breakfasts with lots of choice. I had a traditional hammam and massage at the spa, it was joyous and so relaxing I would highly recommend. We walked easily to all the sites of Marrakesh, we laid by the lovely pool, we had cocktails, a lovely dinner in the evening at the restaurant and all within the walls this tranquil, orange blossomed scented Riad it was everything that we hoped it would be, the most perfect stay.Thank you

Nora and her staff were so wonderful to us from the moment we arrived, until the moment we left. We had decided we wanted to get married there and we had a friend mention it to Nora before we arrived, who graciously agreed to host. When we had talked to her about it, she was happy and willing to do anything we requested. They have an onsite spa, so I was treated with a traditional Hammam, and they had arranged a hair dresser for me on the day of. We weren't able to get a proper priest, so Hamza, one of the front desk staff officiated our wedding for us. They also brought in a lady to do traditional henna for me prior to the ceremony, where they scrapped off the dye, mixed it with water and watered one of their trees with it. They greeted me as I came down the stairs to walk down the aisle where they sang traditional Moroccan chants before I said my 'I do'. Nora also took care of my bouquet, which was nice and simple with some special charms from my family tied onto it. Then to end the entire day, we had a traditional Moroccan dinner, lamb shoulder, out by the pool, with candles and heat lamps and music. All to ourselves. It was honestly the most magical way to start our life together. My husband and I are forever grateful to have had such an amazing wedding, with just the two of us and the staff. We were treated like a true King and Queen. We loved all of the little details they were so particular of. Thank you for making our special day, honestly a dream come true.

I was traveling with a tour organized by Overseas Adventure Travels which had chosen this hotel for our stay in Marrakech. It was really the best. Comfortable rooms is a beautiful setting with courtyards and fountains. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff most attentive and friendly. The location was also very convenient and walking distance to the main square and the Medina.

Booked 5 nights here to chill for our 50th wedding anniversary on the strength of many good reviews of 'BK'. Well, any good reviews of this place are wrong because it's actually perfect! The Riad itself, the accomodation, the food but most of all the staff (no exceptions) must be unbeatable. Unrelenting friendly service, nothing is too much trouble and the icing on the cake must be the professional and enthusiastic involvement of the two owners Nora and Tom. It would be a shame to go all the way to Marrakech and not leave the Riad but if you chose to do that you would leave very happy and with much less tired legs! Look no further!

Thank you Brenda, your review is much appreciated and it's good to know that our team here are doing a good job (including the two directors!) 'Perfect' is a very strong word but if that's how you feel then far be it from me to say otherwise! We're very pleased that you had a perfect venue for your Golden Wedding Anniversary and we hope to see you again. Our best wishes, Tom, Nora and all the team at BK

A wonderful Riad. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel at home. My room, 201 was spacious and contained everything I needed without losing any of its charm and the bed was extremely comfortable with an assortment of pillows. Perfect! Whoever was on duty at reception were happy to arrange any trips we made and the kitchen staff served up amazing food.
