There's so much wrong with this riad, I don't know where to begin. I found it on Instagram and on influencers' sites looking absolutely gorgeous in photos. Yes it has a lovely pool and courtyard but that's where the joy ends. I had just completed a 10-hour bus ride from the desert. I'd organised a taxi in the square. This was late. It finally arrived and took me to a meeting spot where I met Abdul who did not introduce himself and just grabbed my bags and hurtled along the streets to the riad. I had organised dinner but none was offered (it was 10 pm and probably too late by then but friends said their riads offered dinner and went to the shops to buy wine for them!). I was taken to my room (which wasn't ready when I arrived). I paid about AUD250 per night for this room for three nights as I wanted to lash out on my last few nights. The room was tiny, the bed not comfortable, it wasn't private as the curtains didn't even close so other guests could look in. When questioned on this, I was told it didn't matter as it was only other guests. I asked for another room but the only other one available was worse. I had to ask for coffee and a snack and was told to go to the rooftop where there was no staff. They eventually delivered coffee which was awful. At this point I was up all night trying to get a flight out before the airports shutdown due to the corona virus. On waking, I couldn't get hot water because it took so long to heat up. Breakfast was on the rooftop but I didn't get to eat it as I had to rush off to organise a train to Casablanca and various things. Abdul never smiled once, and was not helpful at all. I did not feel at all welcome in this place and was miserable for the short time I was there. Due to no fault of my own, I had to cancel the two nights I had left and have not been offered a refund. He even made me pay for my taxi which I thought was mean under the circumstances. All in all an unpleasant experience for a supposedly luxury hotel.…
Riad BE has a beautiful rooftop that makes the perfect setting for breakfast and dinner! There are 2 themed pool areas here - the oasis and the essence, so spend time in both. It's location is great in the medina and is walkable to the other attractions in the area. Take advantage of the yoga classes they have! The food is good here as well but slightly limited at dinner time.
I don't know where to start. First of all, they have completely ignored my email for queries before our trip to Merrecash for my husband's birthday as we tried to arrange yoga class there and maybe dinner as well. As no one got back to me we visited there on the second day in town. The receptionist was well trained how to be rude to the customers. He was clearly not keen to help us with simple questions (including can we have a look inside?) - he just gave us a dirty look said you need to reserve first. We were indirectly been turned down in 5 seconds and stepped out. I noticed there are similar reviews like mine and wish I had read it before hand. The beautiful photos on social media may have tricked customers. I am intrigued how long this magic will last. Also they are losing yoga customers. …
A beautiful riad in a great location. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed relaxing by both courtyards, or the rooftop deck at times too. We took advantage of having dinner in one night which was really nice and convenient. They also have a hammam and yoga classes. Our room was nice albeit a little small; definitely does not drown out noise perfectly, however it was very quiet all in all. We felt well cared for by the staff as well, who were very helpful.
We rented out the entirety of Riad BE for our closest friends and family to join us in celebrating our marriage on their beautiful rooftop terrace. Everyone had their owns rooms and a bit of privacy, but we all got to enjoy the beautiful shared spaces together. Mehdi was so easy to communicate with (from the other side of the planet!) and he and the whole team went absolutely above and beyond making our wedding day amazing. We chose this venue as it is already so beautiful, it hardly needs anything else in the way of decoration- just add bride and groom. But the Riad BE team set us up a lovely bar station for our reception and champagne toast, showered us with fresh rose petals, and surprised us with a Moroccan band after as well! Their staff took care of our guests into the wee hours of the night and didn’t ask us to lift a finger the entire time. It should also be noted that the food here is amazing - by far and away the best breakfasts and tagines we had on our trip. Huge thank you to Mehdi and Abdu for orchestrating our chaos and to Nahjit (sp?) who endlessly made us coffees and never stopped smiling. You all made this such a special experience for us and our whole group.…
