Travellers' Choice
Located in a quiet side street just off the Djemaa El Fna (about 100 metres from the square) Le Riad Monceau is a cosy 10-room boutique hotel with pool and hammam-spa (Les Sens de Marrakech), but not only. Travellers can also enjoy a renowned on-site Moroccan gourmet restaurant where to enjoy the best of Moroccan gastronomy, famous friendly cooking workshops (MarrakChef) held every day by chef Rachida Sahnoune and, last but not least, an amazing rooftop cocktail jazz bar - "La Pergola" - overviewing the Koutoubia Mosque (live sessions every Wednesdays).

Unfortunately the COVID 19 pandemic has meant we Have decided to cancel our trip which was planned for September. Currently UK Government advice is not to travel to Morocco. I asked to cancel and requested a full refund. Within 48 hours this had been actioned. Now, in these strange times when cash flow is severely impacted for businesses this was a great piece of customer service. I want to publicly say tHank you to the Riad Monceau. You have definitely created a ‘Promotor’ through your actions. We had also booked to stay in another place in Marrakesh but they have not responded so positively ... that’s a separate review. Thank you Le Riad Monceau, I hope all is well for you. We look forward to visiting in 2021

In January 2020, we had an absolute treat of an anniversary break at what I'd call The Jewel of Marrakech, "Riad Monceau". This 10 bedroomed Riad hotel is a luxurious oasis right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, and just some 2 minutes on foot from Jemaa el fna square (in itself an amazing out-of-this-world experience). The whole Riad is most beautifully appointed, simply exuding taste, glorious art and stunning architecture, with a feast for the eyes around every corner. This dream Riad is very comfortably completed by the most delightful, helpful, attentive and kind staff throughout the hotel. We ate every night in the open air roof terrace Jazz Bar where, it has to be said, the food really excelled, perfectly delicious, and the atmosphere had a lovely, uplifting cosmopolitan buzz. Despite being in the centre of this very busy metropolis, this captivating Riad is absolute calm, balm for the soul, with a feeling of being in the middle of nowhere! We will return there one day.... and, I must add Morocco itself is most incredibly welcoming and hospitable. All round a complete 5 star trip!

This was our last hotel and last night in Morocco. The staff were so kind, arranged us massages and a walking tour through the Souk (he was fantastic) upon arrival. We were so tired from 9 days through Morocco from north to south, so truly just hunkered down. We enjoyed sunset and cocktails (yes they serve alcohol!) from the rooftop, and enjoyed delicious dinner at their restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend for Marrakech!!

Cozzy riad near the Place Jemaa El Fna, center of the Medina of Marraquesh. The rooms are fine. They do not lock well with the keys. If you want to be quiet and calm in your room its difficult between 20 to 23 hours because of the loudly music in the roof bar. The hotel staff is very kind and polite

We had a fabulous time during our stay here - from a friendly welcome on arrival (and my very first mint tea) the staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The location is superb, a couple of minutes walk to the main square. The Riad itself is stunning with lots of peaceful spots to relax in peace and quiet but with the added bonus of the fabulous Le Pergola Jazz Bar on the rooftop I would highly recommend!!!
