Riad Chameleon left such wonderful memories for us. To begin with our room (Nomad) was lovely – very clean, adorned with a beautiful wall rug, and cosy. There was always hot water. There was daily bed service, and the shower gel and shampoo were replenished every day. This was the only place where we stayed in Morocco where breakfast is served throughout the whole morning without a limit on time. The breakfast was plenty and always included fresh fruit and various delicious local breads and cakes. The riad’s rooftop terrace is spacious and beautiful, filled with many plants. We had breakfast, dinner and just chilled out there after breakfast or in the afternoon. The three resident cats – Brian, George, and Hagrid – are an integral part of the charm of the riad. Tony - the owner of the riad - was very responsive before and throughout our visit and answered our questions quickly and in a friendly manner. It is very convenient that there is the option to pay for the accommodation via bank transfer. The location of the riad was perfect for us as we didn’t want to be in the busiest part of the medina. The riad is very close to one of the gates so it is quick to get to your transport when going on a day trip. We love walking and exploring, and the location allowed us to experience the more authentic part of the medina rather than just its touristic centre. The team working at Riad Chameleon is exceptional. They are attentive, hardworking, and friendly young men who made our visit not just easy, but also special. We arrived later in the evening than initially expected, but that was not an issue. Nour met us at the medina gate where we were dropped off with a big smile and carried our bags to the riad while taking the time to explain the route to us. We had requested a cooked dinner for that evening and despite arriving at 9pm there was a delicious warm meal waiting for us – Moroccan salad, the best chicken and lemon tajine, rice and zaalouk (Moroccan aubergine and tomato spread) and dessert of fresh oranges sprinkled with cinnamon. Compliments to the chef! The team at Riad Chameleon takes such care of the guests and gives a map to all guests with easier routes how to get to various places and back to the riad without getting lost. Mourad patiently drew the routes on the map for us and answered all our questions. He walked with us to a point on the route the first day so that we can feel more comfortable getting to know the way. The team does this for all the guests. Mourad and Youness looked after us with such care and great sense of humour. We loved spending time on the rooftop terrace having tea and talking to them. The other guys from the team – Ilyas, Ismail, Idir – were all friendly and helpful. It was a great pleasure to spend time with all! The team at the riad helped us to find a driver to take us on a day trip to Essaouira. Our driver Hassan was very professional and drove with care. He also gave us interesting information about the places we saw on the way to Essaouira. Nour also arranged a transfer to the airport and helped us by offering to print our boarding passes as the airport in Marrakesh does not accept mobile boarding passes. Mourad and Youness helped us with our luggage to the taxi on the last day. We are so happy that we found Riad Chameleon and the wonderful team that made us feel at home. Shukran and tanemmirt!

We chose to stay here in October 2023 for our first trip to Marrakech. I’m so glad we did as our stay was fantastic. It was a 5* experience. The hospitality shown by all staff was phenomenal. Straight from arrival we were warmly welcomed with mint tea and tasty treats. Throughout our stay, were made to feel as though it was our home for the week. A big thank you to Nourrdin and Mourad who arranged excursions, showed us the way around, come to meet us at night in the medina and provided a mobile incase we were lost. They catered to all our needs and were extremely friendly, they are true assets to the team. Our room was spotless and the whole Riad was beautiful. Breakfast on the terrace every morning was an absolute treat. Thank you so much for a wonderful trip, it’s the best stay we’ve ever experienced! We are sure to recommend this Riad to any future travellers.

We had 5 nights at the riad and this is undoubtedly the best place we have ever stayed. The staff here were incredible and genuinely could not do enough for us, going above and beyond in so many ways. They were extremely welcoming and friendly, and even gave us a small phone to use to contact them if we were lost/ needed anything. The riad was exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet meaning we got a great nights sleep! The breakfast was fab. We could not have asked for a better stay and highly recommend this riad. Thank you SO much to everyone!

Absolutely outstanding place to stay, made welcome from the first moment we were greeted in the Riad staff and rooms are exceptional. Our return flight was cancelled before we had chance to find alternative accommodation Nordine and his team had arranged everything for us making sure we had a bed for our extended stay. Nothing is too much trouble for them offering to pop to the shop to fetch anything we required. I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat. This is more than a 5* service all round. Thank you so much for a fantastic and enjoyable first trip to Marrakesh Nordine , Simo, Mourad, Ilias, and the rest of the team at Riad Chameleon. From Carolyn & Paul

Riad Chameleon was a magical place. The team are wonderful; they made us feel at home and completely welcome to Morocco. They were always available and friendly and we can’t wait to come back. The Riad itself is beautiful with panoramic views of the Medina and is near many touristic spots. The team also offers a range of excursions and taxi bookings. It’s a very special place! Thank you Riad Chameleon :)

Our first visit to Marrakesh, infant our first to North Africa. My wife booked the Riad Chameleon, she was in regular contact with owners, who arranged our airport transfer. The transfer itself was as adventure. We were met at the drop off by the fantastic Nourrdin, who introduced himself. He then took us on a short walk through alleyways (Aladdin like) to our Riad. I can’t praise the staff enough but a special mention to Nourrdin, Ayoub & Saeed. I have never experienced friendliness and helpful people on this level before. We were lots of advice and information. We were given a mobile phone in case we got lost. Restaurants were booked, taxis arranged, excursions booked and even takeaway food and beers picked up for us. Nourrdin even walked with us to a nearby restaurant. Our room was on the small side but we had no complaints. The breakfasts were good and the coffee even better. The Riad is small with seven rooms and very traditional. The Riad is rated 3* but has 5* staff and service. The owners must be proud to have staff like this. Shoukran to all staff.

I have not enough words to praise the treatment we recieved from the staff at this riad. From the moment we made the reservation to the very last minute before we got into our airport taxi, everything was beyond expectation. If you want to be looked after like never before, this is the place in Marrakesh. Nourr-edine greeted us at the closest medina gate and then took us to the riad where he gave us a complete introduction to the place and then explanation of the routes available to the Jemaael Fna market square, which is about 20-25 minute walk away. Coffe and tea were offered anytime we wanted, a mobile phone was given for calls straight to the riad if we needed to (luckily we didn't have to,Marrakech is a very safe place), breakfast available at any time during the day after 8.30, staff were always smiling and friendly, we could really not have asked for more. Oh, the design of the room we stayed in and the whole decotation style of the riad were impressive, offering a very relaxing and cool feeling, in contrast with the heat and noise of the medina streets. Once again, thank you everyone at Riad Chameleon, it was one of our best experience as travelers!

From the moment I arrived in Marrakech, the staff of this Riad made me feel so welcomed. Definitely one of the highlight of the trip. Staying here gives you the actual experience of living in the old town and experience the culture. Thank you to the staffs of the Riad, Nourddin, Ayyub, Abdul and the others. Service is 10/10.

The staff at the Riad went above and beyond to make my son and I feel welcome during our stay. From the outset we were welcomed with a delicious plate of biscuits and a mint tea. The room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and the atmosphere in the courtyard and on the terraces was tranquil and relaxed. The breakfast was delicious with a great choice on offer. The location just inside the medina walls enabled us to have an authentic experience of this wonderful city. Nothing was too much trouble from the airport transfers to making a reservation at a local restaurant on our first night and organising a massage at a local spa. It was our first time in Marraketch and we'll be back to stay when we return.

My friend and I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Riad; a beautiful place and a great location. But what really made it for us was the staff. So friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much for them. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I could not recommend this place more.
