My husband and I travelled to Marrakech in October 2012 and stayed for a week at the Palais Soltan. The room was spacious and felt very authentically moroccan which was lovely. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome - the free trips into town were a nice touch but airport transfers would have been... More

As the staff in this hotel were so friendly and helpful, I feel slightly guilty for writing a bad review. Unfortunately though, this hotel does not deserve a good one. The Palais Soltan is far past its prime, with every element of the hotel looking old and tired. The rooms are clean, but have a lingering smell of damp about... More

I am sorry to have to write this bad review especially after a wonderful holiday in morrocco and having to go against all the reviews I read before going to this "palais'. The Riad was one of the most pleasant hotels I've ever stayed in, balancing Moroccan tradition with creature comforts and holiday luxury. It's not a large hotel; it's a bit like a French auberge, with a homey feel where everyone can wander around to their heart's content, have a chat with the staff, whilst still receiving the best treatment. Our... More

Me and my girlfriend had booked 2 weeks at the riad in August -unfortunately, we only lasted 4 days before requesting to be moved to another hotel. “I would suggest that for senior people that they ask for a room on the ground floor as there are no lifts. And each room is decorated differently. I know room number 35 was particulary nice and it was spacious and had cream walls.”
