If you want an HONEST review about this hotel, here it is.. Rating this hotel, they say it is a 4 star hotel, but if you want my honest rating, it would be between a 1-2 star at a push.. Positives: The hotel is okay. Me and my wife enjoyed walking up and down the road from the main hotel area to our room. We then found on our last 2 days “Mango Zen Pool”, this was a lovely adults only area. Unfortunately we wasn’t aware about this as nothing was mentioned to us by any of the staff or reception staff. That’s it. Then comes the negatives.. This may be a long list. So, the food is VERY bland, there is no flavour what so ever. No signs of salt and pepper. The food in the city is much more tasty than the hotel. The reception staff are incredibly rude. When checking in, they seemed all lovely and helpful, however someone was suppose to show us to our room, and he took us outside, pointed in the direction we need to go and left us to it. We had also asked for a room change as there was several issues (will explain) however we just kept getting told “tomorrow morning after breakfast”. spoiler, it never came. The room wasn’t even average, it was very dated, the keycard wouldn’t work DAILY, so we would have to walk all the way back every time to get it working again, which you can imagine is a pain. The bed, was pretty much sleeping on concrete and a pillow. Back pains are expected. The shower head was broken so mid shower it would face the wall. The mirror was broken. The little safe in the room was broken too, that wouldn’t open or close, and finally the TV just wouldn’t turn on. The WIFI is shocking. It just doesn’t connect, or if it does, it’s a guessing game for how long. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy any of the activities or what was even being said by the pool or in the evening before dinner, they would only speak in French so we didn’t understand what was being said. During our stay, not once would they speak in English, baring in mind, ther⁶e were many English couples and families also staying at this hotel. Also, with the pool activities, they would only speak on the microphone, so if you are trying to enjoy some peace and quiet by the pool or even read your book, make the most of it whilst they are not doing any activities as it will get very distracting. Marrakesh is a beautiful city. It has a lot to offer, lots to beautiful things to see and several activities you can do. I recommend booking these activities with GetYourGuide! The activities we did were fantastic. However, if you are staying in Marrakesh, especially if you are a couple and cannot speak French, I most definitely don’t recommend staying at this hotel. Like I said, Marrakesh is a beautiful place, don’t let staying at this resort ruin your holiday like it did us. Me and my wife had a much better time out of the hotel and exploring the city and areas Marrakesh has to offer, rather than being at the hotel. …
