Great experience for the price. Water slides kept my boys entertained for hours. Relax pool was very peaceful with lovely planting and a nice alternative to the main pool. Excellent new padel court. Rooms a bit tired but clean. Tour operator at Atlas Hotel booked us on an excellent excursion and seemed to offer more for the English speaking visitors. The medina is within easy reach by shuttle bus or taxi. Well worth a visit day and night. Yes there are cats and birds in the restaurant and each evening there is French entertainment but it’s all part of the experience. Don’t forget mosquito spray!

Went for a short family break with husband and 2 daughters, one young adult and one a teen. On arrival at the hotel in the evening we were greeted by Yahah. He provided great customer service throughout our stay. His English is great. My husband had not booked with us initially and so had a separate room. Yahah sorted this out instantly without us asking and put us in connecting rooms. Excellent service!! We were then escorted to our room which was far down the resort and dark. Now the pros, averages and cons. Pros Lovely looking resort great pics can be taken. Our hotel room had excellent view of Atlas Mountains!! Our room location was very quiet. No disturbance of people or music. This could be because we were the last rhiad. Loads of sunbeds, none broken no need to get there early and plenty of pool space. Fresh omelettes and pancakes made outside for breakfast and fresh pizza at lunch in pizza oven. You can eat at Mango restaurant next door although you have to pay. We didn't eat there but I heard the food was nice.Another pool is located by the Mango with lovely scenery and quiet atmosphere if preferred although for adults/above 16 only. Shuttle service available from hotel to Medina about 2 pound per person return ie £8 for 4 people. But you MUST book this in advance as is very popular. Taxis vary in price up to £20 one way. Be prepared to catch a taxi if shuttle unavailable. Regular taxis available if you walk out to main road. We managed to share a taxi and pay only 100 dirham to the Medina on one trip out!! Don't pay more than 200 dirham. Cash point on site. You can also exchange money at reception albeit may not be the best rates but there if needed. Daytime activities Zumba, aqua aerobics and games if you want something else to do and kids club. As we went in off peak I can imagine a lot more goes on in summer. Regular taxis available if you walk out to main road. We managed to share a taxi and pay only 100 dirham to the Medina!! Don't pay more than 200 dirham. Reception staff very helpful provided great service despite language barrier. Photographer was very friendly and will take lovely photos for a charge. You can have these sent to you electronically. Entertainers are very friendly always trying to get you involved. Rooms were clean, everything worked we had no major problems and slept fine. Towels and sheets changed daily. Water Park on site (however this was closed in March). Average areas Food was average at best. Didn't contain the spice I expected. Our first nights meal was bland but improved as the week went on. Food repetitive. Best meals are definitely breakfast and lunch. More labelling on food needed. Wine available but you have to ask for bottle. Drinks machine fizzy drinks available although sometimes syrup had run out. Coffee cups were tiny and machine needs topping up more regularly. Waiters do not serve you coffee or tea at breakfast it is self service. They seem overworked. Snack time. Only chips and some diced chicken with seasoning available. I saw no other options. Plus icecream tubs. More variation needed. Service was quite slow. The pool was freezing. But it was March and temperature had dropped. my daughter swam anyway. In the rooms toilet a bit dated and maybe room could do with modernisation. Little things maintenance need to keep up on. Eg the shower hook in the girls bathroom was broken but shower still useable and plus overhead shower available. Door strip on our bathroom door was coming away and mirror edge was chipped. Air con was noisy in girls room but it wasn't hot enough to need it on anyway but could be a problem for future visitors. One night we came out our room all lights were not coming on in the building. We had to use our phone torches to see fown the steps. It was reported then fixed. Evening entertainment, was ok but a lot in French. Not top entertainment but ok. Not enough seating indoors though. Maybe this is different in the hotter months when outside so best to read other reviews. Bar drinks served quickly and bartenders were friendly. Some cocktails need improving don't taste the best. The nightclub we visited once. Not many people in there when we went and you have to buy drinks. Was OK just to pass some time as music wasn't our thing. Probably better to go out into Marrakech. Cons Flies in restaurant at lunch time are unacceptable. I ate outside to avoid the pesky things on one occasion. A woman argued about this with the manager who said it can't be helped with time of year and didn't see the problem. Really? Couple of cats onsite also wonder into the restaurant. Not good if you have allergies. There are 2 dogs however they stay outside and don't bother you. Couple of tiny birds also fly around restaurant. I avoided sitting in certain places where they flew. The restaurant gets very full very quickly. Hard to find clean empty tables at times, clean cutlery and glasses. Didn't ruin the holiday but more staff needed and set tables as we often went hunting for our own cutlery. Theatre entertainment on the one night was all in French. Dancing was good but not really our cup of tea. Charge for pool towels 100 dirham a towel. Hotel in the middle of nowhere which is fine but there are no shops to walk to but is next to quad biking and camel riding if you don't want to go far for this. Free drinks stop at 11. Summary After speaking to an English couple they experienced problems. Again I take my experience as I find it and the faults didn't make my holiday unbearable but understand why they left a bad review. If you want perfection, please choose another hotel and pay more money. I had a great holiday but probably would try a different hotel with better food and one located closer into the city. It is a budget hotel but book elsewhere eg Valeria Atlas down the road instead or Iberostar. In all fairness I have experienced similar issues with cats and birds in top Riu hotels in Jamaica and paid a lot lot more money (but at least the food was varied and top notch !! 👌🏾)

Bit of a mixed bag with the first couple of days not being great, rude staff, lack of towels and toilet paper, bad experiences in the restaurant with waiting for a table, then waiting and asking numerous times for it to be laid. Possibly we hit the back end of the 3 days with no water so staff were frazzled. After a couple of days it picked up alot, friendlier staff, more animation staff and activities. We found a good spot in the restaurant and were looked after by Brahim who was fantastic and got settled with food. Breakfast and lunch were considerably better meals we felt than dinner. We all found something to eat each meal but it was limited and repetitive at times. Make sure to go to the outside kitchen at breakfast for eggs, omlettes and pancakes and fresh baked pizza at lunch. A special shout out to Onavair the hotel photographer who was excellent, always cheerful and came for a chat everyday, we had some pictures taken and they were lovely, would recommend as they were really reasonable, around £5.00 for an A5 size. Plenty of sunbeds and good pools to choose from, you can also use inflatables, which kept the small and big kids happy! All in all we had a nice holiday but everyone agreed we probably wouldn't come back to this particular hotel again.

First night of arriving to the hotel, rude receptionist, put us in one of the farthest rooms of the hotel, showed us a map and left us to figure it out for ourselves, it took about 20minutes in the dark to find our room with our luggage. Terrible rooms, smelt of fresh paint, no toilet paper, the room door did not lock, the shower handle was holding on to the head for dear life! The lights did not work properly on some occasions having to use the torch from our phones to see. Rooms had an old damp smell constantly! We had to change rooms three times after a lot of complaining, 4*?! More like 2*. Staff were rude to English speaking guests. Food was ok, oohhh, except for all the birds constantly flying over your food, finding them in the bread and pastry bowls, stray cats and dogs coming into the dining room as you eat, begging for food. I even witnessed a cat jumping on a table as a hotel guest was having their dinner. Out of all the waiters and bar staff that worked there only 2 waiters and one bar staff were nice. Entertainment was TRASH! And just for French people. Nothing to entertain English people. The club was TRASH! Music TRASH! Yahya was amazing! Probably the nicest person we encountered the whole time we were there. All the receptionists we encountered were all extremely rude! Not helpful in the slightest! We were left to figure things out for ourselves even though they were aware that we did not speak a word of French. Do not even get me started on the spa, paid for a service that was not delivered properly, rude ladies, they made you feel like it was a burden to do the services you paid for. Paid for all inclusive only to discover that you still needed to pay for some drinks and all drinks were charged after 23:00pm. Honestly THE WORST! Hotel I have ever been too, I will never come back! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME BOOKING THIS HOTEL!

I want to start off by saying that I was absolutely petrified about our stay at this hotel because it followed a stream of 1-2 star reviews. In hindsight the reviews mostly lack common sense, eg there was a water cut for all of Marrakesh (Google it!), this wasn’t a hotel specific problem, the hotel is in the middle of no where but you should know that when you book and yes the hotel is predominately French tourists, it’s a French speaking country and it’s a TUI France hotel (Club Mamara a Marrakesh) Negatives - lack of communication on arrival as to where meal places were located. The queue for the evening bar could be long as there was only one bar and only 2/3 bar men but you could get multiple drinks at a time per person so that was good. The rooms are basic and could do with a freshen up but they are adequate and very clean. The animation was in French, but tried to be inclusive and the team seemed to work hard! Positives - despite lack of communication check in/check out was easy, phenomenal views of Atlas Mountains from balcony, wasn’t noisy at night, everything worked as it should in the room (fridge/hairdryer etc), plenty of shower gel and toilet roll, plenty of sunbeds, the pools were all different, food was good and plentiful (make sure to go to the outside kitchen at meal times too), it did cater towards a more French clientele (pancakes, bread, cheese, fruit, pastries, chips, salads, seafood, meat etc rather than fry ups etc) desserts were great. Waiting staff were fantastic, always there to give you a bottle of wine/water etc. The red wine bottles in the restaurant were lovely. All inclusive drinks were good, we liked the cocktails and the bottles of beer. We were allowed to keep the room for a little longer on day of departure at no extra cost. Adult only Mango area was gorgeous, cocktails were about £6 each and the kids loved the sports courts, sadly Waterpark was closed for the season when we went but it looked great! We paid about £40 per person per night and found it exceptional value for some winter sun and would return again in off season at those type of prices without hesitation. It’s not comparable to a U.K. 4 star hotel but neither are the prices. The language issue didn’t bother us, we managed to communicate everything we wanted in their broken English, our broken French and by actioning!

Please do not book this hotel. I can’t stress this enough!!!! Please ignore the good reviews- they are not true. Unfortunately, I ignored the bad reviews and thought it was down to people just being fussy. I WAS WRONG. Let me start from the beginning. Me and my daughter wanted to go away so booked here. After reading mixed reviews i was concerned, but proceeded (stupidly) to book! We arrived in the afternoon and was greeted with terrible customer service. No smiles. Not even a hello. Was rushed through a piece of paper which outlined excursion’s, but nothing about what times breakfast, lunch, dinner was, where anything was, no help to our room and a lack of information about the hotel. Had to figure stuff out on our own. Got into my room and there was 2 cockroaches, 3 bugs in the bed and lights not working. Asked for a room change and after being questioned for 10 minutes room change was granted. I’m not one for five star, but the rooms are really run down, rust around the taps and toilet, musty smell and not clean. The food was DISGUSTING, RAW and REPETITIVE. I’m not even being dramatic it really was disgusting. We lived off french bread and butter. The cats and birds in the restaurant is disturbing for health and safety reasons. The cocktails are AWFUL. The plates are dirty and have stains on. The coffee machines are covered in old tea, hot chocolate stains and never cleaned. You’ll be lucky to get a table at dinner! We had to wait until someone was finished before being seated on a dirty table. The pool is FREEZING. Normally pools abroad are cold but this is unbearable. It was like doing an ice bath. I asked for money to be changed 3 times over 2 days and was told to come back in an hour, then the evening, then the next day and then told to go into town as they had none. My daughter fell over and i asked for an ice pack and plaster. I was advised to go to the bar and get ice in a tissue. Wheres the first aid?!?!?! Now for the worst of it all… ENTERTAINMENT. I wouldn’t even call it that. My aunties house playing charades on a Saturday night is better!!! ALL the entertainment is in french so we couldn’t understand a word!!! There was NO kids club. NOTHING for the kids apart from a 10 minute dance/disco in the evening - the entertainers don’t bother with your children if they’re not french. Especially the blonde girl! She barged past my daughter and ignored her when she tried to speak to her! The curly haired girl is just as rude. They make you feel so excluded if you’re not french. Really not nice people! We went to the sister hotel to see the indoor pool and food- its just as bad.. i got speaking to a guy from the UK who was staying there and had similar things to say about there. Also, The spa ladies are rude and not welcoming. I am so upset and disappointed. We’ve just landed back from a terrible terrible holiday and i wish i could get a refund or free holiday to compensate!!! Trip advisor need to re-rank this hotel!!!! 4 stars is a LIE and deceiving people into booking. Pros: Yahah is AMAZING. He is the receptionist. Such a kind, warm person. Listened to all my concerns and did his best to fix it. A really nice man and deserves recognition!! He is the only thing keeping the hotel a float. Karim- the waiter in the restaurant is lovely!! Always said hello to us and made us feel welcome. Always did his best to get us a table and remembered our drinks order from day 1. ^they are the only 2 good things about this AWFUL place. If you’re french and like terrible food and unclean rooms then book this. Otherwise look elsewhere i beg you!!!!!!!! Valeria madina needs to be SHUT DOWN

Hotel is ok. Some staff are super friendly others rude! Positives: Food is nice, not brilliant but we always found something we liked, You get offered a half bottle of wine , or two if asked for, at every meal, which was surprisingly drinkable! The waiters were friendly and very hard working. Pools are lovely. There is a quiet pool if you don’t want loud music. The rooms are spacious, bungalow types, clean and quite nice but a long walk from the main hotel. Gardens are nice. Negatives: As said in other reviews the hotel is geared mainly for French customers, so the “entertainment” at night time is bewildering for non French speakers. It’s not much fun! The hotel is a long way out from Matrakech. If you want to take the shuttle bus cost £2 each way and you have to book it the day before you want to go! The man taking the bookings was very rude. You can get taxis outside the main entrance gate. Cost into town ranges from between £10- £18 Drink selection not very good. Wine is ok but cocktails yucky. Long queues for drinks, The bar staff are super friendly. Our card key to our room was a nightmare to use, often took us 10 mins or so to get into our room. On the last night it gave up completely and after several(long) walks back and forth to reception, and a wait for the maintenance man it took us an hour to get in. On the first day there we asked reception to change some money. We were given correct amount, but then my husband asked for 200 MAD note to be broken down to smaller notes and she only gave him back 3 x 20 MAD. We were too tired to argue as had a long journey, but not a great start. Overall don’t think we would stay here again.

Avoid. When we were there the resort had no water so all toilets were over flowing, literally poo and toilet paper above seat level! We walked into our room, the smell just hit us from the previous lucky people!!( toilet stacked high) Straight to reception who said we have no water, it's the same for everyone! People were pooing in bags ang leaving them around the place!! They couldn't wash the glasses etc so you got a kiddies paper cup for your beer etc. I could go on!! To be fair this was just for two days. After that, toilets etc. Spotless. Should be noted this is a resort geared for the French. While we were there all announcements were only in French. 90% French The so called entertainment French music at night. Nothing wrong with that if you know before you go and you speak French. The resort should be a 2 star Food at best 4 out of 10 Dreadfully organised mad rush for food, a table and clean cutlery! The staff should be reminded to smile! When it rains the tiled floors are deadly, like an ice rink. Quite run down overall, broken plugs sockets etc. On a positive note the rooms are quite nice. The swimming pools are great, cold but great. Plenty of sun loungers.

Definitely not a 4* hotel. Rooms are in desperate need of upgrading, mould in corners of room and desperately in need of a very good clean it all felt very grubby and only surface wiped, had to clean the bathroom area myself because the taps (which were falling off) hadn’t been cleaned properly in I don’t know how long, took them 2 days to fix the plug in sink that was stuck in and wouldn’t come out so had to clean teeth in shower. The shower dribbled out and so took longer. The rooms are very cold especially at night and no heat coming out of air con, one sheet on beds to keep warm , had to use grubby blanket, I even slept in my jogging suit to keep warm! The hotel is only interested in the French the staff barely speak any English apart from the odd one or two so ordering drinks or asking for anything at reception is just too much hard work. Reception staff are as useful as a chocolate fire guard , they have no clue what you’re asking for so you just get “I don’t understand “. All entertainment is in French. Food is mediocre, not all food is labelled so it’s a guessing game. Had to constantly go up to staff in dining areas and ask for drinks they never came to us. They went to the French but apparently the English are invisible. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, to go to the souk it’s about 25 minutes taxi away. There’s nothing else to see outside of this hotel, you can’t go out for a walk to somewhere because there’s nothing. The soul is very good and we enjoyed what we saw. I won’t be returning to this hotel ever on the basis of I’m not French and because of this the hotel wouldn’t be bothered anyway. English people don’t bother pick somewhere else I

Just returning from a 3 night stay at this hotel. Overall the hotel was ok, definitely not 4star more like a 3 star hotel. Pros: The staff are friendly and welcoming. Plenty of sun loungers. Cons: Rooms were cold, even when you put the heaters. No irons in the room, you had to pay a deposit if you wanted to rent one from reception, but there was none ever available. Food is repetitive at dinner, lunch I'd say you have better options, and could have woodfire pizza made fresh. You have to pay a deposit to rent a towel. We ate at the Mango restaurant on our last night, and it was definitely worth the money (extra charge and separate from the hotel). We also used the sauna room in the spa, which was probably the best thing about the hotel. Overall I don't think I would return to this hotel.
