The 300 year old AnaYela, located inside the Medina, with only five rooms, is breathtaking. Located on a cobbled street, knock on the ancient wooden door to enter into another world. We were greeted by the most gracious, friendly, helpful and personable staff (every one of them!). Hicham served beverages, dates and cookies and we invited him to join us - two hours later he showed us our exquisite room. They provided wonderful tour guides, arranged taxis, and even made sure we had a hotel phone, programmed with numbers, before we entered the winding medina. I will never forget this experience as long as I live. Thank you AnaYela!!
The AnaYela Riad in Marrakech is a wonderful place to stay in. Once the street door is opened – one enters a wonderful yard with a pool in the middle. The riad is cozy and contains 5-6 rooms only. rooms are relatively narrow but well decorated. Breakfast and dinners are really excellent. Most of all, the staff is excellent and will assist you in every matter, escort you in the narrow alleys around and take care of everything for you.
The Riad is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. They made the stay so special. We had dinner there two of the nights and the food is amazing. No compromising eating at the Riad, although it is not a cheap option, it is worth it. There are few things that would have made the stay even better (if that's possible). We are allergic to feathers and they did not have allergy-free pillows and comforters available. Their pool is gorgeous, but alas not heated so no swimming except in very warm months. Finally, if you book on rewards points breakfast is not included although they did give us one complimentary breakfast. But we did not learn of this until we checked out. It was probably something, while not a big deal, that should have been explained at check in. Again, minor points in an otherwise fabulous stay.…
The day we booked the Anayela riad for our weeklong visit to Marrakech, I received a personal welcome and thankyou email from the owner...that was a good sign. From that day through trip planning, preparation, arrival, our stay and the ultimate departure...the ownership, management and staff provided the best "hotel" customer service I have ever had. Everything concerning questions, needs, details, tours, covid, dining, accommodations, etc, etc, was handled with perfection. Additionally...the riad is truly beautiful and charming. Was the perfect place for our visit. Marrakech was fun, intense, exciting...Anayela riad made it comfortable and easy! (Special thanks to Birdso, Crusto and Pisto...they know who they are)
AnaYela is a very wonderful place in the Medina. The extraordinarily friendly people made this place like a home for us. This Riad is absolutely wonderful place in Marrakesh, great atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious food and beautiful rooms. We will be back to enjoy😊
Our 2 night stay at the AnaYela was the end of a 10 day experiential tour of Morocco. This unique and beautiful hotel was the perfect end to an amazing Moroccan adventure. It's small with only 5 rooms which provides an intimate experience. The hotel is tucked away in the north medina in a residential neighbourhood which is interesting to stroll through. The hotel itself is elegant and serene and our room (a deluxe king on the ground floor) was truly beautiful. On our arrival the room was sprinkled with rose petals and every detail had been looked after. The staff is exceptional. We asked them to help us with some transportation arrangements and they were so willing to assist and gave us incredible peace of mind. They were all friendly, polite, cheerful and interested in us as their guests. We ate one dinner on the rooftop in the "Flying Carpet" and it was very memorable. The sun set over the city during our 3 hour dinner and the view was gorgeous. The food was superb as well - from the ample breakfasts to our fabulous dinner, the chef is an asset to the hotel. Our stay here was the last stop on a trip to celebrate our 60th birthdays and 35th wedding anniversary this year and it was entirely worthy. I highly recommend a stay at this elegant riad in an interesting part of Marrakech. Top notch all round!…
My wife and I sent two luxurious nights in this wonderful riad. Mehdi and his team were outstanding hosts throughout, with a gorgeous and sumptuous room, delightful Moroccan breakfasts and dinners (we even went into the kitchen for a special conversation with the chef to learn her secrets), to great advice on guiding and shopping in the famed medina of the Red City. We cannot recommend this place highly enough! Go there, stay there! You will be amazed.
We have just come back from the best 4 days in Marrakech and our experience at AnaYela was certainly the highlight! If you are a Bonvoy member you will quickly realize there are two options when visiting the city - I am telling you now - Anayela Marrakesh is the place to stay. Don't even think about booking anywhere else! Our fabulous experience started right at booking when we received an email from Andrea Bury, the Founder of this hotel. Having stayed in a number of Design Hotels in the past, it certainly is not the norm to receive such a note - and certainly put us at ease when visiting the city. Andrea was extremely welcoming, provided great information, was insanely prompt in responses and set up everything from our hotel transfers to PCR testing information for our flight back home. She also connected us to the Manager of the hotel, Mehdi. Once we arrived at Casablanca Airport, the hotel provided us with a chauffeur service (140 Euros) to bring us directly to the hotel which was 2.5 hours away. A smooth ride. The hotel is situated in the heart of the Medina, which helps you feel the vibe of the city and people quite quickly. We were greeted by Mehdi and his team - Hicham and Mohamed who were truly some of the warmest, friendliest and most knowledgeable folks we have met in our travels. Extremely detail oriented, they ensured that we made the most of our 4 days - from tours to meals and everything in between. The Anayela Marrakesh isn't the hotel for you if you're looking for a resort style hotel with room service and big TVs. BUT it is the hotel for you if you're looking for an authentic experience, amazing food, personalized service and quite honestly one of the most beautiful Design Hotels in the world - this is the place for you. Highlights: - We had dinner every single night at the hotel. The Chef was able to create personalize meals based on our dietary requirements and choices. Fresh, tasty and truly memorable. - The property is the most beautiful Design Hotel I have ever stayed in. Truly magical - each room is extremely unique. Our Suite had a fireplace and bathtub the size of a personal pool. - The team - Mehdi, Hicham and Mohamed were the highlight for us. Such great and friendly people. Some tips: - Make sure you try to have as many dinners as possible at the hotel. The chef is magical and they curate personalized menus for you and your taste. - The hotel helps you book taxis with reliable drivers. Use their help to negotiate. - The hotel offers a free cell phone that you can use to carry around. Make sure you accept this. It came handy more than once. - Hicham and Mohamed are absolute pros when it comes to the city and can help you pull together an itinerary and connect you to tour guides. - If you require a PCR test for your flight home, the hotel can arrange for a nurse to come to the property (super convenient) Once again - I can not recommend this hotel enough. It is something that must be experienced.…
since 10 years i heard about this place , finaly i have had time to spend 2 nights here. loved it ! decoration is top, so clean, rooms one ground floor are tiny but well organized except the door frame, ok maybe i am too bog but i hurt my shoulder every day! team managed by Mehdi is really professional and nice.breakfast is generous except when you have to leave early ... the best thing about this Riad is the localization, Marrakech Medina is , up to me, too european style, except here, baby Khemis and Khechiche are genuine, authentic !
I have just spent 10 days with family in AnaYela and I cannot recommend it enough. With my husband we've done more than 300 nights over the last 4 years in hotels around the world and we never had such warm, personal, helpful and friendly service like at AnaYela. The staff are absolutely amazing and made us feel like we are their family, the riad is stunning with a beautiful history (check it out if you haven't yet!) which makes it even more special and magical. The rooftop terrace is also beautiful with a view over the médina and gorgeous sunsets. The rooms are great, too, and are only 5, which contributes to the warm, intimate feeling staying there. Furthermore, the food is absolutely delicious, that we ate dinner there every night. This really is a paradise in the medina of Marrakech and if you'd like to have an authentic, unforgettable experience, go to AnaYela. …
