Not a comfy place and some rooms doesn't have toilet, the wall paint is terrible and the floor looks nasty, there is a lot of mosquito, but it's calm and it's helping to relax, not child friendly but okey.
I stayed here for 3 days in January, 2017 , I stayed here 7 months ago so I don't remember what I payed. I think it was less than $20 dollars. This place is 5 blocks away from the Gare Rabat Ville train station, where you catch Morocco's long distance trains. So from train to hotel it's very short don't take a cab there's a tip. Stay on avenue Mohammad V and it will take you directly to hotel. The hotel is 2 blocks away from Rabat's modern tram station. Across the street from the tram station is the old Medina. The hotel is old , they have no elevator so try to stay on a lower floor. I stayed on the 5th floor the very top of the hotel. I love the hotel's spiral staircase. And I had heavy luggage, talk about hernia city !!!! That was the only rooms available. Across the street from the hotel there a small restaurant. I don't recall the name. I had fried eggs and the best mint tea ever !!!. The hotel had a fire when I was there in the basement but they put it out. I like the hotel's courtyard very nice. My room on the top floor wasn't spartan it had 2 beds and windows. I looked outside I got nice views on downtown Rabat. The door next to my room was the roof . Where the maids put clothes on a clothing line to dry the clothes. There was only 3 rooms on the top of the hotel. I felt like I was on a suite floor. To bad trip advisor doesn't let people upload a video because I have a almost 5 minute video about the hotel. Oh my 2 sticking points are warning the Wi-Fi only works in the lobby. And I wish the hotel had a elevator. Then the hotel would live up to its name Hotel Splendid.…
The room we stayed in had not seen a mop for months. There was a bucket in the shower, I'm only guessing it was for keeping roaches away. The hotel has got a good location in central Rabat but it was quite noisy at night. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again.
Budget hotel. Go there if you cannot find anything else, like when all the other budget hotels in rabat are fully booked. Dirty, fourth floor room with no elevator. Rabat people told us that for the same price we could have found better. No breakfast. Hot water only at some hours of the night.
The receptionist was rude. I asked for a towel several times and he would not give us one. After I bugged him enough, he gave me wet towels. This hotel sure is for budget travel the location is great if you can look pass really poor service and cold water this is your place.
