Short Version: You should stay at Dar Jand with Janet, because her hospitality will transform your time in Tangier for the better. Detailed Version: The house itself is absolutely beautiful and perfectly situated right in the old Medina. It has a rooftop terrace taller than almost all the others around it, which makes for stunning views. The hot water is... More

In the heart of the Medina in Tangier, Janet's home is a wonderful oasis with a lovely roof top terrace overlooking the old city and the port with 360 degree views. Janet met us at the ferry and walked us back to her place all time while introducing us to the old city. Janet is a great guide and connected... More

Our stay at Dar JAND was short but perfect. As soon as we arrived we knew we should of booked for a much longer stay. It's in the magical medina located not far from the port. Gorgeously and elegantly decorated by the owner operator Janet Carbone. She is an energetic, personable down to earth American who's lived in Tangier for... More

An absolutely exquisite stay at Dar JAND during our first trip to Tangier! Janet's home is a beautiful work of art in an amazing neighborhood of the Medina. Warm and relaxing rooms, ours with an amazing view of the neighborhood as well as the harbor and sea. Perfectly clean everyday and appointed with everything you'd want...without distractions like tv's or... More

We found Janet and Dar Jand via Trip Advisor, and considering ourselves travelers rather than tourists, thought it could be the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Tangier. Boy, did we under estimate how perfect it was. From the moment we were met off the ferry by Abdullah to be led up to Dar Jand to meet... More

Our forth stay with Jan, and our first during the summer months. As usual the welcome, hospitality and beautiful rooms were second-to-none. On top of that, breakfast in the sunshine on the roof terrace was a great way to start the day. Such a lovely base in the heart of the Tangiers medina, we just keep going back!

Tangier is a magical place, made all the more wonderful for us by staying at Dar JAND. It's in a small house in the medina located not far from the port. Beautifully - and uniquely - decorated, it's owned and run by Janet Carbone, an American who's lived in Tangier for more than a decade. She's a gracious host who... More

Our 2nd stay at Dar Jand. Jan is a great host and her freshly baked muffins, cake and jam for breakfast on the roof terrace alone are worth the trip. As great as the first time, treated like friends. Arrange with Jan to go for soup and bread at an authentic local cafe, not visited by tourists serving good food... More

We (family of 4 grown-ups) found this place on TripAdvisor and the reviews are truly what this B&B is about. Janet, the owner, is American and has lived in Tangier for 10 years. She knows everyone in the Medina and everyone knows her (great for when you get a bit lost in the small alleys). She picked us up from... More

A friend and I could not have been happier with our stay in Tangier and with Janet at Dar Jand B&B. It is a lovingly restored and tastefully decorated Moroccan home in the center of the medina with a 360 degree wrap-around view of the city and the port from the "breakfast room,' where we enjoyed both Western and Moroccan...
