Detailed Reviews
The Kenzi Solazur in Tangier is a standard big mid budget tourist hotel in a good location facing the seaside. Tangier was a last minute decision to visit so we hadn't done a lot of research on hotels and this was recommended to us. It was raining and so it wasn't possible to walk very far from the hotel and when we got back from dinner we found there was a band upstairs that was playing LOUD music with heavy bass that reverberated through the hotel. It was louder than a disco. We went downstairs to complain and they said they would do something about it but it didn't stop. We went down again and they told us that they had rented out the top floor to a party and the noise would continue until 9:30pm. Room was clean enough but the walls were thin so if you don't want to hear other people's business in the room next door find a different hotel.

Although the hotel is in a good location and convenient for access to the beach and marina: we found the room service was very poor and we had to go to reception on daily basis to ask when the room was going to be cleaned. And when it was cleaned, we found that either towels were missed or soap, or other accessories that had not replenished. That was very annoying!
The main positive was that the morning breakfast was of good quality and started at 6:30am.
The reception was also very busy and getting anything from them was a struggle.
Overall, I don’t think the service was 4 star, but the hotel facilities such as location, pool, close to the beach, was reasonable!
Good luck and enjoy Tangiers! Beautiful place.

We were booked to stay but walked out incredibly disappointed and changed hotels.
Firstly, walking into a smelly place and finally being served by a yawning receptionist wasn’t exactly the welcome we expected on our last night in Morocco after spending 2 weeks in beautiful places around the country with exceptional hospitality.
The cheap-tiled floor room was very hot with no ability to cool down. The sun was glaring into the room and the only blinds were blockouts which would have left the room pitch black. Had we wanted to endure the heat and leave the blinds open, the view was of a dirty pool filled with leaves, neighbouring construction and derelict buildings.
The tiles in the bathroom were chipped as was the paint around the bench and there obviously isn't much pride when the bed was diagonal in the room matching the picture hanging above it.
In fairness, they prepared a few cute origami towels and scattered rose petals on the bed for our 'special' trip and were happy to give us an alternate room after they realised our room was problematic but the new room was on par and we just couldn't let our last night of a magnificent trip be tarnished.
Basically, if you're ok with 2 star then this might suit you.

After being in Morocco for 2 1/2 weeks, this hotel was the perfect way to say goodbye. The location was perfect-easy walk to the medina. The staff was very accommodating - many in our group had to get to the airport early in the morning so the kitchen staff provided us with an early breakfast. One of the desk staff brought some of us to an excellent restaurant around the corner. For a late lunch when we checked in. We never would have found it. The bed was soooo comfortable and the room was clean. Everything worked which wasn’t the case in many of the places we stayed.

Part of a family trip. Second time in Tangier. Chose the hotel due to central location. A little bit disappointed with the duplex we have been given. It faces the lifts, but also city view room faces a construction site which has been noisy in the early hours of the morning. Cleaning routine does not seem to be managed very well. It seems to go on from morning to 7-8pm with the cleaner not covering every room. Towels are restricted and a duplex of 4 people only seems to get 3 towels a day. We needed all drains cleared on first night as they were blocked in the sink and bathtub but that was dealt with efficiently. Asked for a different room but reception seems disinterested and requires us to check with them twice a day, I gave up after the third day. My daughter swam in the pool and cut her foot and something sharp. I was told that it is probably rubbish at the bottom of the pool, no effort or concern to clear it out for it not to happen to someone else. For the money you pay to stay, I don't think I will stay again. Avoid room 1749 not the best. We still have 3 nights left I will update if needed. The breakfast is pretty much the same everyday. Shout out to Hannah for her help daily with sorting breakfast and allergies. Staff are nice and friendly, but not much action.

It is supposed to be “one of the better” hotels of Tanger, but doesn’t live up to that standard at all.
The most annoying: they don’t even have a functioning wifi service. Your devices will disconnect at random, after which a manual re-registration is required. Most of the time you will not be aware of the lost connection, which will mean that you will blow through your roaming data and incur extra costs.
I returned to my room at 16:30, to find it had not been serviced yet. The bed was not made, towels not replaced etc.
After adjourning to the Piano Bar, where I found myself with just two other guests, and three (!) staff behind the bar, I discovered that it is possible to have to wait for nearly 20 minutes before being served. Staff was gossiping together instead of helping customers...
Over all, my impression of this hotel is terrible. Staff is not helpful, service is bad and doing some work is impossible because you can’t properly use the internet.

I spent a night in this hotel , In the beginning I thought its a good choice and good place since it has a nice view by the beach , actually the service was good but at night I couldn’t sleep due to loud music coming from the lounge or the event room since they rent it for wedding parties. The next morning I complaint to the front office about it and all they said is sorry sir. NOT going to recommend to anyone who wishes to have good night sleep in that hotel.

The hotel is very old and the place is dirty. The staff is not very honest. When I reported them a noisy water leak in the bathroom they didn't do anything and did not even offer a room change.
Restaurant is expensive for medium food quality.
The isolation is very poor and at night you'll hear muezzin and klaxons from the street till late time. They had the wonderful ideas to have outdoor bar where no one is coming and where music plays till late at night which gave me to play with bugs. (Big ones)
Don't go there if you expect to rest because it is difficult to fall asleep.
One of the worst hotel I've been in my life. Run away from this place.

There are a number of good things related to this hotel.
Location is fantastic, staff members are friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast has a wide variety.
The rest of the hotel, including the rooms are in a really poor state. Passage carpets are stained, walls are damaged. The doors on one of the lifts took a really long time to open and close.
The rooms look as though they have not been maintained for many years. Beds were badly stained, walls and furniture damaged, showers were clogged.
After raising these concerns with the friendly staff, they did change our rooms, however there was not much a difference.
In summary, the rooms are disastrous and I would not return to this hotel.
