New Avon Apartments is centrally located with several nice restaurants, banks, public transport and sights nearby. It is clean and you really have everything you need furniturewise. Also, a washing machine and hangers are provided and the drying area in front of the window is designed so neither clothes can get lost nor insects can come in. The mattresses could be a bit softer really, but all in all it is a very comfortable apartment hotel – one of the nicest places we stayed at in TZ. A generator in case of power failure is available and the "hot water" really is hot, which cannot be taken for granted in TZ. In New Avon it all works perfectly fine. In addition to good security including CCTV on all hallways, every room is equipped with a safe to store your valuables. The icing on the cake: The rooftop terrace! Osman and the other staff members really walk every extra mile to help you with whatever you need.…

A good place to stay. Has basic amenities such as Wi-Fi, washing and dryer machine, electric and gas cooking stove with kitchen utensils. It is located in central business area of Dar es Salaam. The staff are friendly and I consider the place safe.

We can only recommend New Avon for everyone searching for a super place to stay in Dar Es Salaam: great location (restaurants, supermarkets, ferry, etc. all in a walking distance), highly comfortable apartments (air conditioning, kitchen stuff, TV, fridge and we even had a washing machine), WiFI, and above all, excellent staff!! They were always reachable and available and above all, super friendly. My husband and I were even treated with a little extra surprise, which made our stay here really enjoyable. We only give 5 stars because we can't give more :-) We have absolutely nothing to complain about and will definitely come back here when in Dar again.

My husband and I stayed at New Avon for about two months in March and April 2018. We were warmly welcomed by Mfangavo, the manager, who was also helpful in arranging an airport pick-up for us (we worked with that taxi driver, Isaac, several times during our stay and he was very reliable). The location is in a very nice (if loud) part of town - many nice Indian restaurants are very close (try Sino-Thai and the biriyani place next to Chef's) and there are pop-up restaurants on the street every evening if you want some kuku choma. Most of what you'd want to see in downtown Dar is in easy walking distance (and it's a short walk from the Mwendo Kasi / rapid bus line). The apartments are small, but comfortable and the air conditioning, wifi, and TV options are terrific. It was also really lovely to have a washing machine in our flat! There were very few utensils in the kitchen - only two mugs, plates, etc., which would have been fine for a brief visit, but was a bit inconvenient for a longer stay. Also, please note that New Avon DOES NOT accept credit cards, despite the logos on all of their promotional materials and despite stating that they do on their website. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return again.…

After three visits to Dar, I have found my home away from home! The New Avon is ideally located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, etc. The building is well maintained by a wonderful staff. Athuman, the building manager, and Ava, the housekeeping lead, have exceeded my expectations and most likely their job descriptions as well. The entire staff is attentive and hospitable.

We stayed as a family at new Avon apartments at the end of July and overall found it to be comfortable, convenient, secure and well priced. Although we had a few teething problems ie. operating air conditioning, hot water controls, wifi and requiring extra bed the centre manager osman was quick to act and sorted any matter within 10 minutes. The apartments are in a good location (central business district) easy access to local eateries, transport, shops and local businesses. Would definitely be on our top list of places to stay next time in Dar.

They are just sitting there to make money from clients unethically. Worst management ever experienced. They commit something else because they need clients and then make excuses to eat clients money. Management needs to grow up if they need to do business.

I had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The room is clean, WiFi very reliable. This would forever be my choice when am in Dark salaam. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Dar.
