The receptionist was a nice bloke, and the room was very quite. The hotel is also 5 minutes away from the Zanzibar ferry (walking). Unfortunatelly, this is probably where the positives end for us. The biggest drawaback of the hotel (or at least of the room we were put in) was a terrible overbearing smell of damp and mould. This...

A small boutique hotel tucked away in the heart of Dar es Salaam. Beautiful rooms with amazing furnishing. The rooms are spacious with a small kitchenette... the bathrooms is rather small.. a downside for me... breakfast is sufficient. .. courteous staff. Overall pleasant place....

The hotel is on the first floor of a city office building, and there are two flights of stairs to climb to enter, no elevator. The area looks a little dodgy at first but is relatively safe. The hotel is in the middle of the CBD and is reasonably priced for Dar. It is about an hour from the airport...

We only needed a brief stay in Dar es Salaam as we were in transit to Zanzibar. Having arrived quite late at the airport, we quickly reserved a room at the Amariah. We should have known that it wouldn't be the best stay after the taxi driver offered to take us to a better hotel, but we had already paid....

I can't offer enough compliments about the staff and their warm welcome. From the moment we arrived in the middle of the night we were greeted with professionalism and graciousness. Each day the staff was happy to see us, and take care of any needs we had. From the attentive servers at breakfast each day making sure we had plenty...

The hotel is poor, dirty and the rooms are dark. The electric tide often misses. The wifi doesn't work. The air conditioner is noisy, the water misses in the bathroom, I have also escaped having the already paid room.

Suburban hotel has 4 star amenities in a small package. Quiet and comfortable, I was surprised by this hotel, one of the best non-chain hotels I've been to in Africa. Like many hotels in Tanzania the location is not easy to find, but worth the hunt.

The hotel is keen to ensure your comfort and a relaxed stay with exceptional service from all sections. On the night i arrived, which was several hours later due to delayed flight and heavy traffic jam through Daresalam, I was amazed by the kind gesture from the duty chef who offered to prepare a meal for me despite the odd...

A cosy and clean hotel situated within the city centre. A plus is the free limitless internet and an airport shuttle at a cost ofcourse but very convenient. The staff are awesome and very helpful. On the downside is the fact that some of the standard rooms are very small and breakfast can be improved.
