What a find ...cant speak highly of this property..homely, quiet, overlooking the Indian ocean with a little touch of luxury. The Boutique Hotel is on the site of a hospital, and has been turned into 8 suites...4 x doubles & 2 x twins. They are large, spacious with high ceilings & well appointed. The doubles contain a deliciously comfy four poster bed, a desk, sofa along with a small fridge plus TV - the bathroom, a free standing bath, walk thru shower, double sink.
In the Hotel lounge you will find sofas for sitting or sprawling along with a small library & some interesting photographs, artwork & artifacts.
\The beautiful backyard is delightfully relaxing with a small pool, day beds & a small lounge area with receives a breeze on the most windless day. The gardens are kept immaculate & you will find several quirky scrap metal sculptures made by local polio victims.
The delectable menu is eaten on the veranda which looks out into backyard...& what can be said about the staff - they are just wonderful. Their friendliness is so refreshing - always smiling ... you feel awful asking for anything.
We will be back.

Difficult to find more welcomed hospitality. Since the Oyster Bay Hotel where we had reserved a room had no lift, the manager immediately offered us a suite in another building normally dedicated to businessmen who stay a while, up to months, this because I have some mobility problems. Very modern building facing the ocean with all the commodities you can dream of. Excellent cuisine and very discreet but dedicated staff. Could not wish better so we highly recommend both the Hotel and the Suites

The Oyster Bay suites have everything a business traveler needs when he's away from home : a good bed and a clean, spacy bathroom, a separate living area to relax with a desk & office chair to work. And importantly in Dar es Salam: good, free internet.
Breakfast is served in a spacy and well laid out 'lobby', where there's always some nibbles on hand.

You have access to their own lap pool or to a gym nearby.

On top of that the staff is great and will go out of their to help you and make your stay comfortable. For example: they'll help you order takeaway food, get it to the hotel and even serve it on their own plates.

Views from the lobby and the sea front rooms is great.

This place is head and shoulders above any other accomodation in Dar-es-Salaam – the rooms are so clean, great interiors, great view and great food AND great value. Look no further.

Stayed here for a couple of days on business. What an unexpected pleasure after a host of tired business hotels. Spotlessly clean, fresh attractive decor, huge rooms, well appointed with a relaxed modern feel, great bathrooms and all amenities you would expect. Light and quiet, calm and inspiring atmosphere. I was impressed.

Breakfast buffet was relatively limited but was good quality and served in the attractive lounge area overlooking the beach.

Service was very friendly and attentive without being pushy. Well done. I'll be back.
