We had stayed 3 nights in Osero Tented Camp in Serengeti in March, 2025. I would like to mention following points :
1) Location : The camp is not only located inside Serengeti National Park but it is actually located at an area in central Serengeti which is a prime territory of a pride of Lions. Just 50 meters from the reception, there was 3 lions roaming around. All night, we heard the roaring of lions. Even, we saw one lion passing beside our tent. Just around 300 meters from the camp, we saw 3 cheetahs hunting an impala. 2) Safety: During our stay, me along with my wife were the only guests in the entire camp. In remote african forest of Serengeti full of predators, we never felt unsafe for a single moment. The staffs were extremely polite and friendly. Everytime, we got out of our tent, some of them, escorted us to restaurant and back. 3) Accomodation: our tent was super spacious and luxurious. It was huge in size with two king size beds with big mirror, wash basin, flush toilet, shower area, balcony. Each tent has separate Wi fi router, Multiple charging ports. 4) Food: the food was very tasty, plentiful and most importantly was not repetitive. Apart of breakfast, lunch and dinner, they used to give us freshly baked cashews and cappuccino after full day of game drive. 5) Game drive: We arranged the game drives from the camp itself. They have association with a company named "Dusty Roads". Our guide Geoffrey was a very nice, friendly guy. We always felt safe with him. He has a superb skill of spotting and identifying the animals from far.
In one word, Osero tented camp has exceeded our expectations.

It was our best accommodation during a week-long safari in Kenya and Tanzania. The camp is in the heart of the beautiful Serengeti Park. We really enjoyed everything from checking in to checking out. The staff are real professionals, no intrusiveness, just clear and excellent at their jobs. The tents are spacious, equipped with everything you need, cold water is constantly available and hot water is served on request within 5 minutes. Some might find this uncomfortable, but this is a national park, it's right in the bush. There are impalas walking around the tents, and we were woken by hyenas at night. It was unforgettable! I'd love to come back here again!

We loved this place. The tents are spacious, comfortable and well appointed, with en-suite bathrooms and decent WiFi. Mosquito netting is provided, but bugs were not a problem during our stay. We found ample seating inside and outside, with tables and a simple charging station - bring your travel adapter, type D and G (I don’t remember which we used at Osero, sorry).
The dining area is cozy and the food outstanding. You can tell the Chef and his team take a lot of pride in their work. This was by far the best food throughout our two week stay in Rwanda and Tanzania, and we’ve had a lot of good food! They worked with our driver to have breakfast ready for us very early. One note: wine and beer is cash only.
The staff accompanies you to and fro at night, as there are lions and other animals around. We could hear lions and hyenas at night but never felt unsafe. Just shine the flashlight out your tent flaps and the team arrives within minutes. As you walk, they will ask you if you would like to shower and will discretely fill the tank behind your tent at your convenience.
The service was warm and genuine without being overbearing. The staff seemed more concerned with your privacy and relaxation than a constant stream of mini services designed to elicit tips, as with some other lodging during our recent trip to Africa. There is a simple tip box by the common area and you are told not to worry about tipping until the end, which you will definitely want to. Tip generously if you can, these guys are great!
This is a dusty and remote camp in the middle of one of the wildest places on earth. It’s not the four seasons, so don’t expect that. There are no singing and dancing performances for the tourists, which we appreciated. I would still call it “upscale rugged” but your definition may vary. I hope to return some day. Asante sana to the whole team at Osero!

In the middle of the Serengeti you can find this amazing tented camp. Osero, means bush, and you are right in the bush! As soon as you arrive, after a dusty day of safari, you are greeted with a warm wet facecloth and a glass of juice. The service keeps on coming. Sit down for a drink on the porch and enjoy a plate of roasted salted cashews. Your bags will be delivered to your tent. We had a family tent with two bedrooms, a sitting room, and two bathrooms! Ask for a heated shower and they will turn on the water heater for you (it’s a warm shower, not hot). Watch the sun set or sunrise if the weather permits. The meals are delicious and plentiful. This was the place that catered to my gluten-free diet in extraordinary ways (crepes, loaf, muffins). As well, if you want to upload photos, the internet is fast and strong. It’s hard to believe. Electricity is solar power. Thank you to the whole team for the service, the serenity, and the beauty!

Beautiful field in the middle of nature of Serengeti National Park, large tents overlooking the bush. Reception and care for guests , wifi and good food at the restaurant also suitable for vegetarians. The fire zone is set up every evening to enjoy the sounds of the savannah, which are not lacking. I suggest the staff to add a small reading lamp in the tent and improve the quality of personal hygiene products. Recommended for those who want to stay in the middle of the savannah

We stayed at Osero on our first day entering the Serengeti and our last day before departing. Compared to another hotel we stayed at, Osero excelled in various details:
1. cold water for showers was available 24/7, and while we needed to notify the staff for hot water, its supply was abundant (the other hotel only provided 20 liters of hot water); 2. they supplied 4 bottles of drinking water for consumption and rinsing (the other hotel only provided 2 bottles). 3. At night, we need to flash a light as a signal to summon staff, and they responded very quickly (the other hotel used walkie-talkies which often ran out of power or were inconvenient for communication).
The hotel's location is also prime. Just a short drive out in the morning, and we were greeted by hyenas, leopards, and lions. At night, the sounds of hyenas and buffalos can be heard outside the tent. The view of the sunset from the hill behind the hotel is breathtaking.
The butler and the other staff members were extremely warm and friendly, and the meals were delicious.
Despite the scarce resources in the Serengeti, Osero went above and beyond to ensure the comfort of their guests.

We had a fantastic stay at the Osero camp on our trip to the Serengeti this September. We flew in via seronera airstrip and departed via a 4 hour drive to Ngorongoro.
The tents were extremely spacious with two double beds and well equipped. The camp has no fences and animals wander through daily. Hearing lions roaring and passing by near the tent at night was a thrilling experience. Our chef Mr. Mustapha prepared delicious Indian vegetarian food for us as per our requirements, and the food was definitely a highlight of our stay. There were great options for us in both breakfast and dinner as well as the packed lunches. Moseka and Rachel also helped us with a comfortable stay.
We had a total of three full day game drives, and saw a ton of animals and birds. Our guide Mr. Andrew was excellent. It rained heavily on a couple of nights we were there but our tents were cozy and waterproof.
Few downsides. Wifi was spotty. We had 4G via Airtel but that also did not work when it rained heavily. Shower had less water but that may be because they get water through tankers.
We thank the Osero team for a wonderful first trip to the Serengeti!

We spent 2+1 nights at Osero (2 days game drive at Central Serengeti and after 2 nights at North Serengeti we came back for 1 night to Osero). The staff are extremly friendly and kind. We miss them so much! They played a lot with our kids. We stayed in a double-room tent as we have 4 young kids. The tent was comfortable, big enough for us and very clean. The food was amazing and variable every day, served as a buffet breakfast and dinner. The lunch boxes were also very tasty and more then enough. We enjoyed a lot the amazing sunsets and sunrises every day from the hill nearby where we could walk up with one member of the staff; once we had a romantic sunset brunch with wine and some nuts served by the staff - a great experience! They helped to walk back to the tent in the dark with torchlights as the animals (impalas, baboons, hyenas and even lions) often come close to the campsite. It was amazing to hear the savannah's noises around us during the whole night - but we knew we were safe. We thank wholehartedly all the staff to make sure our safari experience was amazing and we would recommend this campsite to all, and even families travelling with small children.

This is a tented camp but with hot showers, flushing toilets, and very attentive workers! There are only 10 tents and I think there are probably 12 plus workers total! If it was dark, they walked you to or from your tent. In fact, they were just on stand by in the morning waiting for you to get up (no, not in front of your tent - that would be creepy!). Food was very good considering the conditions (not sure how the chef prepared all the food!), although sometimes they had an issue keeping it as hot as some of us like it. The food was very much "farm to table;" lots of healthy options.

Amazing camping experience in the wilderness among very professional staff. The presence of animals around the camp, the highlight of our trip. Piniel, the camp manager, pays attention to detail and his staff are very accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed our time in Osero Serengeti and cannot recommend it enough.
