The architecture of grass thatched huts is beautiful. We had a ground floor unit. The interior is nicely done with a small balcony to watch animals pass by at dusk. We saw dik diks, gazelles and bats each evening. The bar and restaurant continue with the domed roof and dark wood interiors. The dining area is a little cramped making it...

The team at the Serengeti Serena Safari lodge went absolutely above and beyond for a special moment for someone staying at the residence. I had been in San Francisco and despite the time zone and short notice as I could not send flowers for Valentines Day (park restrictions and it's the middle of no where) the team went above and...

The hotel feels like you are in the midst of the great migration. The unique rooms, three to a "house" overlook the plain. Beds are comfortable, and the rooms are well appointed. Be aware there is no A/C, but it's not really necessary. A fan provides air flow, and a mosquito net surrounds the bed at night. There is always...

Go for upstairs room, I am sure the views are better. Room was comfortable and decorated in African style. Not as grand as some of the other lodges we stayed in....

The Serena Lodges are off the beaten track, and that's good. As much as I thought the Serengeti would be so big, you'd see not many other tourist of safari - I was wrong. So it was nice to be able to get away from the every day grind of safari. If you stay there, ask your guide to take...

The domed rooms and domed dining facilities totally thrilled us. Decorated in African style with makonde carvings and accent items in the rooms. The huts spaced nicely and evenly throughout the environmentally friendly estate located within the Serengeti National Park. A blend of resort with actual wilderness. Security rangers escorting us from one area to another at night. At night...

We were here in August last year and found this to be one of the good lodges in all of the lodges we stayed in our 8 days safari in Northern Tanzania. All the Staff is very pleasant and accommodating all your requests. Food is delicious and had good variety. Only complaint about our dining experience was it was not...
