Me and my partner stayed at the ibis in Tunis for six nights. We had a lovely stay. The hotel is super comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The staff were absolutely great especially Jihen who works in the restaurant during breakfast and the security guards on the front door. They made our stay really special. Thank you so much 😊

I was in the hotel lobby bar for a couple of meetings as the location is easy to get to from the airport, just a 15 minute taxi ride. The hotel was clean and hand sanitizer was available. The people at reception were very friendly and the service was good.

I ordered a croque monsieur and couldn't believe what I got on my plate - some untoasted crumbly white bread with a slice of cheap ham and a slice of packaged cheese. It didn't resemble a croque monsieur at all, it wasn't even toasted and it was completely tasteless and inedible. Unfortunately I didn't think about taking a photo of it.

The chef should learn how to make a proper croque monsieur, it's not that difficult.

I would like to thank the Ibis team for their commitment, a special thanks to Hamza and Sameh from the reception.
The management of Ibis should repair the second elevator as it takes more waiting time.
You also need to improve the quality of the internet signal.
The rest of the service was perfect

A standard Ibis hotel close to the City of Culture and Avenue Habib. Rooms were as one would expect and there is ample guest parking. The car park attendant was a lovely, cheery chap, which is more than could be said for some of the bar staff here. We are well aware that alcohol is considered haraam in Islamic countries .. but this hotel serves alcohol, and as such, it should not be served with a sneer.

Fairly clean and comfy, even by western standards. The rooms only have a single double bed. My son and I stayed here for two nights during the Eid weekend. The staff were very accommodating. They called a cab to the airport for us at 3.30am and it was there in minutes. Breakfast selections were fine, including an omelet and meat tray. Dinner was also acceptable, altho there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area.

I spent two nights at the Ibis at the end of a long trip, after spending several days at the Novotel (which I reviewed separately) which is around the corner (physically they are part of one complex, but function as separate hotels, with entrances on opposite sides of the block). The Ibis is considerably cheaper, and has correspondingly fewer amenities. The price at the Ibis is 109 Dinars per night during the week, and 99 Dinars on the weekend, same price for single or double. This is about half the price of the Novotel's "rack rate" (which starts at 254 Dinars if I recall correctly) and a very good bargain (by Tunis standards) for a modern hotel. The 3-star rating for the Ibis is realistic, in comparison with many Tunisian hotels which claim 4 or even 5 stars but often are poorly run and fall short of the advertised level of amenities.

My stay was one month after the hotel opened, and while there are still some teething pains things are slowly getting up to speed. One elevator was being repaired during my stay, and wireless Internet was not operating on my floor, but was OK in the restaurant and lobby area. A technician was working on the Wifi routers during my stay, and I expect that the Internet is in operation by now. In retrospect they may have opened before having everything running as well as they should have done.

In comparison with the Novotel, the rooms in the Ibis are smaller and furnished with just the basics: no minibar, no couch, less storage space for clothes, a smaller window which is somewhat less soundproofed than those at the Novotel, also thinner doors, cheaper flooring (no carpet), and a cheaper electronic safe. Another reviewer compared it to Ikea furnishings, which describes it well. But bathroom fixtures were modern and convenient, and cleaning service was efficient and staff very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the flat panel TV was fine, if a bit smaller than at the Novotel (is there a pattern here?). There were fewer towels, which were on the small side, but they were clean and adequate.

The restaurant has a streamlined menu, with Asian and Italian "wok" options offered: you pick from a small list of options, and a cook prepares it to order, behind a counter facing the diners. Breakfast is self-service and you refill your own coffee or tea, unlike the Novotel which has waiters circulating in the breakfast area. The Ibis has a smaller buffet set-up for breakfast than the Novotel, but it is adequate. As in the case of the Novotel, the Ibis has already printed their menus showing prices for cocktails, wine and beer, but are still awaiting a licence from the government and can't actually sell these yet.

Overall, I found this a very carefully calibrated "value" hotel with no frills, but which is modern, clean and well-run. I was told that guests can use the spa, pool and fitness center at the Novotel but can't confirm this (even Novotel guests are charged for the spa in any case). If you don't mind handling your own suitcase, pouring your own coffee, and so on, this can be a very practical choice in a city which has too many over-priced and poorly run hotels.

For a business travel I stayed here 3 nights in late November 2014. It is a regular Ibıs hotel recently refurbished, hence modern, comfortable, clean.

I booked for a non-smoking room, and the room was named "non-smoking" with a small paper indicator on the bench near the bed, but as I opened the door, there was a strong bad smell of smoking. I don't know if in this hotel there is a real non-smoking room.

First impression: New, modern, clean Ibis hotel

Location: It is 10-15 min. walk to city center /touristic old city Madina. Airport is only 10-15 min drive. Sharing same building with Novotel at the back side. So, for the taxi drivers it is more better to say the well known "Novotel Mohammed 5" as the drivers pretend to ignore the real official address of Ibis hotel. For a Tunisian coffee or mint tea any time to relax in close area I recommend you to walk 6 min to Cafe Bosphore to Avenue De La Liberté.

Room: The room offers very basic needs: comfortable sleep with soft bed, clean WC-bathroom with clean towels. No kettle, no minibar, no amenities, no complimentary bottle of water, so bring one with you for urgent needs. I don't complain, this is the standard of Ibis.

Staff: Helpful, speaking fluent English.

Facilities: As I checked the reviews here in TA before booking I did not booked breakfast with the room, and glad not to have done it; there I checked and saw that the breakfast was very poor (maybe OK for Ibis standards). You can have cheaper breakfast in the old city cafeterias or close bistros. I also read in the reviews that the restaurant for lunch is OK. Wi-fi internet is free and was OK in my room at 6th floor.
The very good side is you can use the Novotel fitness and Spa area, having indoor passage (as the buildings are adjacent); you are asked for a small fee of 7-8 Euro for the entrance.

For whom: Business people, budget travelers asking clean and comfortable stays. If you like to spend more time in the room/hotel, or thinking to have special moments better to reconsider :)

Price/stay quality: Very good; I will definitely stay in my future business visits. Leaving in the morning coming back to sleep

for mistake I have booked thinking to be like in europe. check in is a disaster, they didn't t want to add a bottle of water in the bill from the bar. because no minibar in the room
they wanted payment in advance even if credit card was garanting the staying.
wifi for free.....disaster I couldn't t work because too slow so I switch off light and slept. in the morning the breakfast was a real jungle. horrible food, dirty coffee machine dirty waiters with no uniform just people with polo around i took a coffee and escape. with 20 euro extra you can get a better hotel. nearby there is NOVOTEL is much much better i used to stay there already.

Hi Abdullah, I suspect it is 90 $ per night, although that seems a little high as the rate is nearer 75 USD per night.

Non sono sicuro che tutte le camere dispongano di letti matrimoniali. Nella mia stanza era presente. Se poi ha esigenze per bambini basta chiedere al momento della prenotazione. Buon soggiorno
