Tunisia is safest and Enjoyable Country, I am coming to this country Since 2005, During Bin Ali period it was more safe and secure but after revolution things become bit scary, but looking around the World it's still one of the safest Place, people are more friendly and food is Excellent, and affordable, and for Muslims it's all Halal, over...

Our favourite hotel in Tunis was all booked so we looked for alternatives and ended up at the al Hana for one of the worst hotel experience: - staff keeps pushing for tips all the time and reception staff are unfriendly and unsmiling - terrible rooms which stinks of years of stale cigarette smoke even in the bed itself -...

The hotel has an old design. but the facility is still clean and rigorous. I've been on the period of the World Social Forum, so the hotel was full booked, and still the staff was very helpful, even if he/she can't understand you he will be more than happy to help you, and try to understand you.

Sad to see what could be a beautiful hotel ravaged by time and lack of upkeep. I stayed there a while ago now, and the rooms weren't terrible. Not 5 stars by any means, but they weren't the worst. Outdated for sure. A bit of a strange smell, yes. Overpriced too. I wouldn't stay there again. The best part is...

So, the El Hana would have been amazing back in the early 60's, unfortunately the rooms haven't been decorated or maintained since then....the reception staff and management were the rudest I've ever had the experience of meeting, completely non-communicative. From 11pm to around 4am we had constant knocking on our door, people trying to get into our room, children running...

On the top floor is a great open terrace, from which you can get a great view of the City of Tunis. For me it is a great "base" to the old town, but also close to the airport. It is not a new hotel, but if something is wrong, just talk. As far as I recall, the staff is...

I have been there for three nights. The room service was not good, the sleeping stuff were dirty, and the heating system was terrible. All the rooms are smokers', so you smell the Cigarette stench almost everywhere. The wind whistles through the windows in many rooms.

The hotel is central and the rooms are quite large, reception is well decorated. However..... our group experienced all of the following: - a single towels in the room - rooms is dirty look like never been made up - A/C is not working -Poor Internet connection -Poor Bathroom condition -

El Hana International was bland, characterless, and not that good. The whole place feels very dated but the rooms were clean and tidy, though the buffet food uninspiring. That said, there was nothing terrible about our stay and you could, I suspect, do worse.

I was just starting writing when I saw the review below from sjs1811..... who was one of our small group! So I will not repeat what she says, all of which I can confirm. Our rooms were supposedly in the "renovated area", but if these are renovated I hate to think what the others are like. Just to add... some...
