Nkosi Guest Lodge has 24 rooms all in the superior category, 2 of which are wheelchair accessible. All rooms are equipped with a large en-suite bathroom, a spacious shower and a bath tub. Nkosi Lodge is beautiful, modern and luxurious. The staff are phenomenal. They are extremely attentive and professional, willing to help with anything that you require. The Reception were particularly helpful when organising activities and/or looking for advice. The breakfast is high quality.

I had booked and prepaid 3 nights with Nkosi Guest Lodge for 15 – 18 October 2023. Pre that stay, I was in a camp in Hwange in Zimbabwe, which was so uncomfortable and dirty. I reached out to Nkosi Guest Lodge to ask if I could add a night to my stay and arrive a day early on 14 October. This would be subject to rearranging my transfer from the camp to Victoria Falls City. In the camp the internet was up in the air, to put it mildly… so organizing anything was a challenge. The instant kind and generous reply form Nkosi Guest Lodge’s sales and reservations team was: “We are holding your room. Do not worry, if you cannot contact us. If you are not successful in rearranging your transfer, we will not charge you for a no-show! We will be delighted to welcome you a day early. We will see you when possible for you.” How very kind, professional and very generous. Lucky me – I made it out of that horrible camp and arrived at Nkosi Guest Lodge on 14 Octobe to be greeted with the biggest smiles, warmth, and consideration for the fact that I arrived from a rather unpleasant ordeal. HAPPY STAFF & CLEAN ROOMS I always “scan” for happy staff and clean accommodation. It was clear that this lovely Nkosi Guest Lodge is run by the most appealing, kind, generous, fun, and happy team. There seem to be a lot of “cross responsibility” help between the staff. I pick that up all the time, and it makes me very comfortable. There is something soothing in staying at places, where the staff thrives and are happy. Guests pick up on those vibes, I find. The whole place is clean. The cleaning procedures start early morning when the night’s dust is delt with inside and outside. Outside being the area around the pool and the garden areas in front og the guest lodge. The cleaning goes on all day, a constant refreshing is carried out. I stayed in a lovely spacious room on the first floor. See photos. My room was clean on arrival. A proper turnaround cleaning had been done, and throughout my stay, the room was well attended to morning and evening. TERRACE ON FIRST FLOOR My room was on the first floor opening out onto a lovely big terrace. See photos. Having arrived from a toxic, unpleasant and stressful stay, I enjoyed the peace on first floor on my first day. I was immediately offered to get a deck chair put just outside my room on first floor “for some peace.” Since no other guests enjoyed the 1st floor, it was an easy “yes please.” I kind of think the staff could see, I needed some peace. FOOD The food is nothing short of outstanding. I recommended the restaurant to a newly found lovely friend from Victoria Falls City. I am hugely impressed when a relatively small place has a chef that prepares one more tasteful dish after the other. Umami in all dishes, OMG, I would love to go back. I am vegetarian, and the chef came to see me to ask how to best meet my expectations. I found no reason to eat outside the hotel. I toured during the days and made a point of coming home for dinner when the darkness set in. The other guests were all nice. We got on well “between tables,” and often found ourselves sharing ideas and “must see” details. The staff joined in with suggestions and any small or big request was handled by the generous front office team. Breakfast is a well-stocked buffet, with continental breakfast. Everything else you order, and they gladly cook for you. The coffee and tea are great quality. You have coffee and tea available all day in the main area. At 15.30 hours the cookie jar comes out – a large jar of freshly backed cookies for all guests to enjoy with afternoon tea/coffee. HYGIENE By the shared toilets you get single use towels and plenty of soaps, insecticides, sanitizer, and hand cream. In your room the toiletries are refill bottles, but bottles with pumps to ensure no guest has had their fingers inside. Post Covid, this is important. INTERNET The internet is powerful and works in all rooms as well as in the outside areas, the garden and pool areas. SERVICE ARRANGING TICKETS AND TOURS I had great help from the reception / front office team organising a helicopter tour of the falls, incl. transfers to and from the airstrip. I also had the greatest pleasure of enjoying a visit to Ndlovu Theatre – Showing: “Simunye: We Are One”. I was fortunate to meet an employee with “We are Victoria Falls,” and she kindly informed me of the theatre. I immediately turned to the reception who organised both my ticket and my transfers. USD If you want to help, please bring USD notes as an alternative to paying by card. If you really want to score points, bring small notes: 1 / 5 and 10 USD notes, they will love you. Getting USD notes is not easy and getting cash for change is very hard. USD 50 / 100 is a bit of an issue, be mindful, you will make a difference. I am in line with many travellers who score Nkosi Guest Lodge high. I am honoured to have stayed with them 4 nights. The team were very observant and generous, especially when they heard about the camp stay and saw photos from there, check my profile for other posts. The place is beautiful, the proximity to the falls is very convenient. The staff, special mention to Premrose, Solomon and Adrew. The staff will take great care of you here, so accomodating and the place was very clean. Loved the personal touch given to the birthday celebration for my wife. The food and drinks are delicious. Stayed here for 2 nights in a Superior room. In advance our expectations were high but the experience exceed our expectations. Initial arrival experience from the duty manager was world class with a clear orientation to the property and answered all questions on transport etc. Room was excellent and very comfortable indeed. We had breakfast each morning and dinner on both nights. The food was very good, albeit with limited choice, but with a special each day. Service from Solomon, GuGu and Melody was also just so good; always anticipating your next request. Service exceeding anything that we get at home in the UK. Easy to get into Victoria Falls town and the falls, with a $5 taxi each way Do not stay in town and stay here in this lovely property
