We recently stayed at the Ilala Lodge for our honeymoon. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly - taking every opportunity to offer us assistance or recommendations. The room was clean, air conditioned (a HUGE plus with the 90+ degree days!), and felt very safe and secure. The lodge was also in the perfect location to walk to the...

Had only positive experiences at Ilala Lodge in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The staff were polite, friendly, helpful, and always willing to go out of their way. We had a ground floor room, and the wildlife comes right up to your doorstep, with a stunning view. The room itself was very clean and tidy, with lovely comfortable beds and linen, air...

This hotel is conveniently located just minutes walk from one of the greatest natural attractions in the world: Victoria Falls. Although we only spent one night there, it kickstarted a fantastic African adventure in the best possible way. The staff was very helpful and the room was surprisingly comfortable. The biggest surprise turned out to be the restaurant, where we...

This is a beautiful hotel only steps from Victoria Falls. In the early morning, Victoria Falls can be seen in the distance from the garden. We could sit on the patio in the morning enjoying coffee watching birds in the early spring gardens. The accommodations were wonderful with either a patio or balcony. The pool was calm and cooling on...

Rooms good, meals excellent. Alcohol well priced. Staff excellent - with the airline having lost my luggage, we received great help from the General Manager, who took us personally on a shopping trip.

Pretty near perfect. Rates reasonable, prices of food and drink reasonable, very well sited, clean, absolutely no complaints. All the staff were exceedingly helpful. Food excellent. Before we arrived, I arranged for travel to and from the airport, a Victoria Falls tour, a helicopter flight and a "Ra-Ikane" sunset cruise. All these were booked, the pick-ups were spot on time....

We stopped for 2 days at the Ilala Lodge as part of a self-drive holiday in Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. If it's in your budget then the hotel provides a great base to visit the Victoria Falls - you can walk there in c.10 minutes - the craft markets (make sure you're ready to bargain) and the Victoria Falls Hotel...

Just back from Zimbabwe where we spent 3 nights at Ilala Lodge . Excellent friendly service. Good rooms. Good food. Couldn't fault it. This hotel provides a relaxed retreat at the Falls but is within easy walking distance.
