This is a stunningly beautiful property in a great location less than 1km from Mokolodi Nature Reserve. Rooms are centred around a small swimming pool and ours featured an outdoor shower which, while not affording much modesty, brought a refreshing start to each day. When we booked, it was for a room with "continental breakfast on the terrace". When we...

Lovely setting clean fresh rooms very tastefully decorated. The en suites are decorated in traditional style and our outside shower was excellent. Beautiful house with extremely nice owners at a very good rate. Nice restaurant only 3 mins up the lane in game reserve. Definitely stay again next time we are in town.

Location is not convenient for city but excellent for the game reserve, especially if you have a vehicle. We didn't have one and were dropped at the reserve by the hotel since the approach is uphill and later we managed to walk back to the hotel. Unfortunately, although our booking included breakfast, we were told that breakfast could not be...

Stayed here for 2 nights with my son and husband. First plus is that I really wanted to stay here having seen the reviews but when you are from overseas sometimes places will not accept credit cards for deposits. Not so here. I rang the owner directly "No problem" she said "I'll reserve the room for you and you can...

It is no surprise that Mokolodi has been ranked as the number 1 place to stay in Gaborone. Although we had a serious problem locating it, there is no question that on any subsequent visit to the city, it is the only place we would stay. We were given a choice of rooms, one with an open air shower and...

Great place to stay just outside of Gaborone - Lizzie is wonderfully welcoming and the house was beautiful. I had a gigantic deep bathtub in my bedroom which was a wonderful touch! There's no dinner provided, but the Honesty Bar is always full and there's a great restaurant just down the road at Mokolodi Nature Reserve, so you can go...

We arrived in the dark and had a problem finding the road that takes you into Mokolodi 2. The main track was rough and the actual house is on the left down a bad track itself. There is a very small sign. The phone number we had was the owners number which is different to the house number so again no...

The setting is wonderful. It was lush and green in February, with a beautiful garden & amazing bird life. There is minimal road noise, so you don't entirely forget the proximity to Gaborone. There are few rooms (maybe 5 in total) so it's very intimate breakfasting with other guests. Breakfast is continental, so not too much choice. But they have...

This has is a special treat, in the nature, everything- from the rooms, to the hospitable Lizzie, a sweet small pool, to a great collection of books, great coffee, homey treatment, lots of spaces to enjoy the nature and singing of birds (2 terraces). Don't forget to ask Lizzie to arrange a taxi pick up from the airport (1/3d of...

Mokolodi House! you check their homepage! Every single word is true! No exaggeration, rather understatement! I am lodging there whenever I am in Gaborone (and that happens often). I was probably the first paying guest some yerars ago and the service has always been excellent. Certainly, it is not cheap. But most of us are probably not rich enough to...
