My trip was made comfortable and stress free by Metcourt staff. Service was genial polite. Accross the road is the Grand Palm offering poolside dining. Keep your room windows closed the monkeys will sneak in and make off with your stuff.

The hotel is spoiled by a poor attitude to maintenance and safety.

The 2nd floor corridor has a fire door at each end, secured by a glass cylinder. Sadly, the fire escape at the city end of the corridor has no glass bolt so to keep the door closed, a screw has been driven through.

In an emergency, in the dark with a smoke filled corridor and panic, it is hard to see how this fire escape can be opened.

I complained to Reception, Maintenance Management and the Hotel Manager...FOUR times but nothing has been done.

Very poor.

I've stayed here before in 2017 and was satisfied. I returned in December 2020 and was not happy at all. When I arrived at the hotel, the driveway to the hotel was blocked, so I parked my car far away from the reception. When I checked in, I asked for a porter to help me with my luggage and was advised by the receptionist that "this service is no longer available" so I had to collect my bags from my car which was parked far away from reception and drag the bags all the way back into the hotel. Not ideal when you're exhausted and have been travelling for the 15 hours.

On a good note, the food at the onsite restaurant was superb. Really big portions and very very tasty dinner and breakfast considering the COVID-19 restrictions.

The service was cold and unprofessional, the sockets in the room didn’t work and the shower was cold but I could not get much help when I reported it. The room service was very slow and I was even late for a meeting while waiting for my shirt to be ironed. Would not recommend.

Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Reception staff is plain rude, breakfast is well below par. Room amenities not provided properly. Everyday there is something else missing. Not the standard I am used to from Peermont

Overpriced minute room. I couldn't fit into the bathroom. Hotel had no atmosphere and I only noticed one other guest. I had to walk 500m to have breakfast at the other hotel. Room was dingy and minute. Definatly not worth the rate that I was charged.

I stayed at the Metcourt for one night in June on my way through Gaborone. It seems to fill a niche that was completely empty before. I couldn't find a reasonably priced room with the amenities and service of the Metcourt anywhere else in Gaborone. The rooms are new, attractive, and comfortable. That alone would have made me choose to stay there, but the bonus of having access to all the amenties at the Grand Palm could not be matched - lovely grounds and several restaurants to choose from, as well as the free airport shuttle.

This hotel is a perfectly average hotel in Gabarone . If you want a clean bed , clean shower and 30MB free internet then this is the place . Rooms are small and hotel was very busy with business people . The hotel provides a free shuttle from the airport and is a easy walk to the casino complex .

This hotel is really lovely and the rooms clean, beds and pillows great. Staff attitude at the front desk, when they have made a mistake, is shocking! First night, there was no water in our room till 9pm. Second night, we had no airconditioning and the following morning we had no hot water to shower. Arrived at breakfast, at 8am and the food was finished. I had to wait 30mins for more food to be put out. I was not the only person, there must have been about 8 others. Food was average, but price certainly wasn't....way overpriced. The restuarant Fig Tree, was a total rip-off!!! Cost: P230 and because we hadn't changed money yet, we wanted to pay in Rands. We were quoted R370!! Service was VERY slow! Certainly won't be back!!
