After looking at Wutma hotel and Baro pension (both next door), we ended up at Ankober guesthouse. Its was pricier, 420 birr, we stayed one night. It was clean, had hot water, and the wifi was working inside the room. On the downside the bed was to soft, and the two of us ended up in a hole in the... More

Positive: - Comfortable bed - it was clean - staff was frienly Negativ: - water temperature cause of broken water taps difficulte to regulate - old tv, no international tv stations - the power plug of the tv consists just of two cables, I had to put the two cables in the outlet. That can be life threatening - staff... More

I stayed here one night in December of 2015 and found Ankober a worthwhile place to sleep in Piazza. ROOM: Smallish for a double, but pretty clean. Bed wasn't terribly comfortable, but most beds in budget lodgings in Ethiopia aren't so. TV in the room wasn't in great working order, but could be turned on at least. Expect to pay... More

Stayed two nights at the Ankober because the neighboring Wutma and Baro were full. Friendly and welcoming staff. They let me check in at 10:00 am after a long flight! Mattresses are all spring with little cushion, but they were clean (no bugs!). Multiple power points. Wifi is from the neighboring hotel and only available in a corner of the... More

During the forth day among my five days of staying there, my iPhone was stolen from my room. The owner didn't fully take the responsibility for this (although he enabled me to stay one more day for free inc. paying for breakfast on the day after). If I could complete it formally I would do it, but I had then... More

Centraly located, cheap guesthouse with friendly, English speaking staff. The rooms are basic and run down but clean and they have hot water. Mattresses are old and uncomfortable. Rooms are far from street noise. Okay for transit.

We stayed here 2 nights and should have changed hotels but it was 4:30AM and we were leaving again in 12 hours. The place was filthy and disgusting. The first room stank - we think the sheets were clean because we saw him put them on but I don't think the room had been cleaned since the place opened. The... More

When I got back to Addis from Lalibela, I went to Baro next to this hotel and found that water supply was stopped. No shower after a long and dusty trip! Next morning I moved to this hotel and could have a hot shower as expected. Very clean and super bright rooms compared to the dark and dingy ones at... More

Stayed here twice during a visit to Ethiopia. Clean but very basic rooms. Bathroom was clean enough, however no hot water. This wasn't a problem for me. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good stopover hotel. Restaurant across the road is worth a visit too.

Rooms were kept clean daily. Friendly ladies at reception with a good command of English. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with our own bathroom. The water was cold throughout our stay regardless of the fact that I have reported it throughout our stay. The maintenance guy came to our room twice but to no avail, thus not a... More
