Staying here made my trip! Airport pickup worked great. When we first arrived I wondered about the place but I soon found the neighborhood is quaint and quiet. You can walk to prime locations near by, there is also a bazaar and a couple good restaurants within walking distance. The place is a multi-unit compound with lovely gardens - the...

I liked the location of Z Guest house, it's a walking distance to National Museum, Museum inside Institute for Ethiopian Studies located inside Addis Abeba University main campus, zoo, Piassa Shopping Center and more others. There are good dining places near National Museum, one of them is Luci restaurant and lounge. Z Guest house is family operated, it has single...

- Good value for Addis, and they have recently reduced their prices. We paid $60/night b&b for 2 room self-catering apartment. - 10 minute walk from National Museum, University and Piazza - Quiet, friendly neighbourhood - Has a simple kitchen, so dont have to always eat in restaurants. - Our kids had a ball playing with our host's grandchildren in...

This is a guest house run by a family that lives in the main house below, with some apartments and single rooms. It isn't a big-box hotel, which is a great vibe if that's what you're looking for. They're attentive and kind and very sweet, but there also aren't some of the amenities/professionalism you might get elsewhere. For example, there...

Very nice place in a quiet neighborhood in Addis. Very friendly owners, which take care of you. From the guest house all the main sights can be reached by foot. The national museum is also around the corner. The only negative thing is that they mixed up my airport pick-up, but they came immediately after I called. Once you have...

My wife and I stayed in an apartment suite for 2 weeks in July/August of 2015. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend the Z Guest House for those who are wanting some extra space and personal hospitality yet still want to save money. The Pros: - STAFF - the staff is great and very helpful. The...

I cannot say enough great things about the Z Guesthouse. As two young students, we shared the apartment suite which was very roomy. We always had access to hot water and the wifi was good for the majority of the time. When it was out for a series of days due to the infrastructure of the city, the owners worked...

I will keep it short--the main thing I want to add to the other reviews is how excellent the young woman who was doing all the cooking and cleaning was. I've never seen somebody working at a guesthouse who was always working hard, and always smiling. Very impressed by her, and by this peaceful oasis in the city.

Stayed here for 2 nights upon arrival in Addis and another night before heading on to the Danakil area. Mr. Tedesse speaks excellent English and has two children in the States. The location felt safe and is close to the National Museum and the Ethnological Museum at the University, but is a bit aways from the shopping areas in Bole....

I stayed at Z Guest House for ten days, half in a single room, the other half in an apartment suite. By far, my experience in the apartment was better. The single room had a slight spider infestation, which was fixed by my shoe and a run to the store, but I could never sleep well there after seeing so...
