this a awesome, special place to be, especially the coffee. at night time , very noisy with english contractors but....enjoyable. meeting place for hickers and trackers. foodis great. the compound is secure ,just behind german embassy

We stayed at the Sleeping Camel for seven nights. It should have been about four, but as people will tell you,"it's hard to leave the Camel". Staff are super friendly and helpful, beer is cold and plentiful and food is delicious. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bamako, this is really a great place to relax, have a couple drinks...

One of the best place in Bamako to have drink, have food, have a great time for brunch, lunch, diner, karaoke! Food is delicious and various mix of western and Malian and the cocktail Coulibaly is a must have! The team is thoughtful and welcoming - it feels like home :)

For those used to the lower budget more relaxed atmosphere and services of a European style auberge or hostel, this place is great. The American manager is responsive to customers needs and friendly. The local staff are relaxed. There's a great outside (shaded) common eating area with big TV screens for watching sports and news, places for campers, motorbikes, rooms,...

We stayed here the seven of us to get various visas. Very secure place, lovely staff and good food. The place to be in Bamako. I ordered chips with peanut sauce and I didn't like it at all. The owner tasted it himself and said that's the way it should be. I am used to the Indonesian sauce and said...
