very nice staff and very tasty food. It is in a good area and you will meet many international people here who work around Mali. The drings are nice and you can watch soccer on big screens. The grilled chicken meat was the best i have eaten here.

When travelling, you always want to find a place that you can literally call home. Where the owners, staff and other guests come together to make you feel warm and welcomed. I appreciated every day I stayed here. Yes, facilities, food and service were of a high standard but only a few places can bring it all together and make...

I stayed at the 'famous' sleeping camel in July 2016 for three nights. I was given an ok large room at the front. It was clean and the bathroom was ok, The food for breakfast was the Malian usual - omelet and bread. I took my own coffee. The clientale seemed to be all UN soldiers - very boysie, very...

I stayed at the sleeping camel during my cycle ride from the UK to Cape Town. I arrived tired after several months on the road. Phil and his staff were extremely helpful while I rested and recovered from a bug. Met some other travellers whom I'm still in touch with. Food was great.

An afro style restaurant with very good. I recommend the couscous beef and beef "brochettes". The service is good, don't get annoyed for waiting, everything is fresh made on place, no prefabricated stuff. The owner is a nice person, helping English speakers.

We were pleasantly surprised by Bamako in general and staying at The Sleeping Camel was just an extra layer of comfort. Superb staff, great location, great menu :) and just a great place to meet other travellers. The AC broke down once during our stay (and repaired), wifi a little slow, but other than that, top notch! Recommended.

Stayed here for a week in our tent, great place. You feel safe and secure inside the compound. The food is great, a decent selection cooked very well - beer is also cheap and cold! The staff are fantastic. Good location for embassies if needed.
