After a 2 week tour of Namibia this was the perfect place to end our tour. The lodge is situated about an hour drive away from the airport and an hour and a half from Windhoek. The lodge itself is beautiful as are the rooms. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. Getting to pet a cheetah was...

We stayed at the Okambara Game Lodge for several days before our trip home. The lodge has a rather large front yard as it takes about half an hour to reach the house after turning from the street, but there are signs at every turn and gate. The house itself is an old style building with towers and reed roofing...

On a recent trip to Namibia we arranged to do a day-trip to Okambara Elephant Lodge to go on a game drive and take in the sights and the sounds. We were not disappointed. The staff were super welcoming, all very professionally dressed and well trained, the facilities, what looked like a Bavarian Castle in the middle of no-where was...

We wanted to kick off our three week self drive trip around Namibia in March 2015 with a photography course so that we could make the most of our new camera. We found one online with Bernd Wasiolka who is based at Okambara. A two day, two night full time private course which was great - well worth doing if...

Although the facilities were okay, the food quality was lacking and the fact that breakfast is only served from 08h00 and that no coffee was available before breakfast, is rather disappointing. Even despite numerous requests for coffee fell on deaf ears and the lady in attendance would rather lay tables and wait for the kitchen staff to arrive. Furthermore, there...

Less than two hours from Windhoek, this attraction offers decent lunch and afternoon cake at good prices, a 3-hour game drive where you can see elephants and rhinoes as well as caged cheetahs, leopards etc. We can strongly recommend this day trip from Windhoek, but you can also stay there overnight, although we have not seen the rooms.

We stayed at the Okambara Lodge for one night before our holiday ended. Okambara is a more than fine place to relax at the beginning or before the end of the holiday. The German owners Uschi and Christian are very kind and helpful. The Lodge is a pretty impressive replica of fort with spacious and comfortable guestrooms and comfortable beds....

We stayed in a Rondavel, very spacious but in need of a good dusting. The shower only had half of the screen so care had to be taken not to soak the rest of bathroom. Surprised there was NO facility of making tea/coffee in the Rondawels. Drivers on the game viewing vehicles were not very helpful, luckily, we knew the...
