Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city center in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on decor. The open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. Whilst each of the eleven rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Olive Grove makes for a perfect overnight in Windhoek to start and end holidays. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, staff charming, and service excellent. Good car parking for those renting vehicles, as well as the ability to organise airport pick up and drop off.

We ended our wonderful journey through Namibia here. It was a great stay. We were unexpectedly given a room upgrade. The room had a desk area, refrigerator, large bed, TV with Netflix, bathtub and shower. The staff was incredibly friendly and were happy to arrange a taxi for us. We went out to dinner one night. The other night we ate at the guesthouse restaurant. This I highly recommend. The food is super tasty and fresh. Through the open kitchen you can see how the chef prepares it. The breakfast is also fantastic. You get a standard tray with toast, muffins, toppings, fruit juice, yogurt with granola and fruit. In addition, you can take prosecco and order what you like: omelet, French toast, pancakes, ... We did not go in the pool because it was too cold (time of year). A good stay for couples and families!

We spent our last night of a fantastic holiday in olive garden. From the minute the gate opened and we entered I was bitterly disappointed that we weren’t staying longer. I loved the whole ambience of the place, the pool area was small but perfect for what we wanted. We sat at the pool with a drink and just felt ourselves relax after a long drive from Swakopmund. The rooms were very nicely decorated with everything you could want or need. We didn’t have dinner, went to joes Beerhouse instead, but after having one of the best breakfasts of our holiday I was sorry we hadn’t tried the dinner. Would definitely recommend staying here

Such a nice place. We stayed here just overnight at the end of a 12-day safari in Namibia. The big suite (an upgrade, as a pleasant surprise) was enormous, with a fantastic bathroom with separate tub and shower. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The hotel is on a number of levels with lots of different outdoor spaces, some of which have nice views of the city. Dinner was a very good, low-key affair. Very enjoyable. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy what they had to offer.

We had a very nice stay in Olive Grove for our first night in Namibia. The staff was very friendly and it was great to chat with them. They have organized a taxi for us to drive us to the city centre and made sure they know the driver so that we are safe. We felt indeed very safe and welcomed. And the meals were delicious! We would book again anytime.

We stayed here for the first night of our trip to Namibia. We were doing a flying safari and the Olive Grove was very convenient for the local airport that we were flying from. Our room here was of a good size, very clean & very quiet. The staff here were very friendly & welcoming. We were very tired & didn't want to go out to eat, it was no problem as they were able to provide a gluten free meal for me, which was very tasty & reasonably priced. This Guesthouse is very good value, and we would certainly stay here again.

Thanks for the team to all the little attention for our honeymoon. We had a good rest and relaxing time before to take our flight back to France. The team arranged taxi and everything for us for dinner which was really convenient.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast with enormous rooms and great staff - we started and ended our trip here and it was a real pleasure to stay here. The place is very quiet and peaceful and the rooms are delightful - both nights we stayed we were given an enormous room with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and we ate our evening meal here on our return which was very good indeed. High recommended.

Authentic room, very good shower, lovely meal, fabulous breakfast. The staff were very helpful providing lots of information. The bed was extremely comfortable leading to a sumptuous sleep. Cost was very reasonable. What more could we ask for.

It was a short one night stay before flying out of windhoek. We arrived early to an empty front desk. Eventually a staff appeared and did the necessary, our room wasn't ready yet as it was early. We were advised to wait in the lobby area with comfy leather couches. Nobody offered refreshments so we asked for a menu and had a very questionable coffee along with some water. Waited a long time then decided to leave the hotel for lunch since nobody updated us on our room. We notified reception about leaving for lunch and were informed that our room had already been ready. Would have been nice to have been told so we could freshen up. Anyway came back to a nice room, clean, very large with good amenities. Otherwise relatively basic. Nice big TV. Breakfast was the same as check in, we walked in and half greeted by the cook. Found a place to sit. Nobody came for a long time then we thought we had to go get food from the kitchen, but the guests at the next table advised that the staff would bring it out. Eventually some nice muesli, fruit and yoghurt came to the table and we ordered some good cooked breakfast. In the meantime there was another car with some guests at the front gate waiting to get in. They hooted and rang the doorbell and after about 10 mins they were let in, after we alerted the staff. Was quite average, not up to scratch and surprised at all the reviews here. Glad to have stayed only one night. We stayed at some top places in Namibia and the service was outstanding, staff could maybe do with more training. Would recommend this place for a one night stop before flights, nothing more.
