I stayed at Hillsview guest house in Ndera for 18 nights in November 2014. This small, clean, well-managed guest house is quite far out of town (about 40 minutes by mototaxi at RWF1500 per trip) but gives an ideal experience for those who want to get a taste of real life in Rwanda. Nice location outside of town, owner arranged for a driver to come and go. The driver was very good, helped me exchange money and showed me around town. Found the location very relaxing, staff was stand-offish at first but was very friendly by the end of my stay. I went on a gorilla excursion in the middle of my stay...

This place has quite a few things going for it: - Very clean & spacious rooms - A lovely veranda with a great view (although this isn't hard to come by in Rwanda - the land of 1000 hills...) - Hot water & flushing toilets - Friendly owners (James & Jacquie) who picked us up from the bus park and...

My husband and I spent a very pleasant few days at Hills View Guesthouse over the Easter weekend. We had looked at other hotels in Kigali, but found them a bit out of our price range (as we are working as volunteers).
