I spent 8 days here on business, i will keep this short and sweet, if you want cheap rooms, clean beds OK WiFi, hot showers and a nice location in the center of Dakar this is the place to go. The staff are all friendly, the food is good and all for £25.00 per night. The only downside was not...

If you have business in the center of town, the Hotel Oceanic is comfortable, not luxurious, and very affordable. The rooms are basic and nice, the restaurant and bar are good, with a selection of Senegalese and Asian food, the staff are friendly and efficient. You feel very welcome. It's next to the Marché Kermel, and there are no loud...

My daughter and two friends got stranded in Dakar last week for three nights because of the blizzard in Washington DC. I found them this hotel and they loved it. The welcome was great, as was the room. When I rang and spoke to Diouf on reception he was incredibly helpful

Oceanic is a wonderful hotel with a very central location, spotlessly clean rooms with balconies, hot showers and a very reliable internet connection. The staff are genuine and welcoming and the food is excellent. They also have real espresso coffee and fresh croissants for breakfast! For central Dakar, Oceanic is very quiet at night and good value considering how expensive...

The hotel is centrally located and the staff is friendly. As I visited shortly after the rainy season, I found a couple crickets in the room which made a lot of noise at night until I threw the last one out at 2.30am. Though crickets are common and you'll find them in a lot of places. I also found a...

Stayed there in January 2014 for one night, well located and clean rooms. Furthermore, they have hot water and pressure in the showers, which is not often the case in Senegal (if I compare with the other 8 hotels I have stayed in this country..). The staff is very nice, they knew our accompanist which is very appreciated at this...

I have stayed at this hotel for two days and I had a nice experience. It is located next to the Atlantic Ocean and it has a breath taking view. It is clean and big room, room 24, but they have only french channels.

This was a nice enough hotel in the centre of Dakar, it's in a reasonably quiet area. The room was good, reasonably priced, the restaurante and bar was good. If you want a clean, friendly and reasonably priced place in the centre of Dakar then I would recommend it.
