It is 1 of the best experience I ever had. Rooms are all wood, and there's deep attention paid to details. Bhutanese wooden art can be easily seen in the room and inside the hotel. Their staff is really caring and polite. They would want to make you happy.

Meaning 5 stars: The room was HUGE and well layed out. We had the best mattress (and I have to say all mattresses in Bhutan were EXCELLENT, regardless of hotel). It tended to be on the rather dark side when it was night. We also had great hot water for showering. The food changed as soon as a huge group... More

Centrally located and not far from the market area. The decor is bhutanes and very artistic. The twin bed rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom. Wifi was available all over but certain areas had stronger signal than others, They have a heated swimming pool and a steam and sauna room. The breakfast is ok, nothing great and so is... More

The rooms are well appointed but after Paro and Punakha we found it a bit small. Rooms are however quite clean and orderly. Food is adequate esp for Vegetarians. It is just overlooking the main market street so is well connected.

Nice but not exceptional. Staff were accommodating. The breakfasts were good on quantity of food but only average on quality. A few things in the rooms were in need of maintenance. It is rather centrally located so that you can walk to craft market, farm market, Memorial Stupa, and the commercial area of Thimphu. I would suggest rooms on higher... More

We stayed two non-consecutive nights, as arranged by our travel agent; our stays were enjoyable and quite comfortable. The hotels' interior and exterior architecture and painting are marvelous. Railings in the corridors that overlook the elevator lobby and doors on many rooms are great examples of Bhutanese artistry. This hotel is a splendid blend of modern comfort and convenience in... Visited there for 2 nights recently - the location was great but not for someone who cannot climb hills but likes to walk as it is a slightly hilly climb from the main street. The centre of the town is walking distance so that helped. The hotel itself is nice and the staff were very accommodating. They have free wifi,... More

We stayed here for three nights. Hotel is nice, clean and richly decorated.Staff is very nice. Market is 5 minutes walk. Small cafes and restaurants are around. In Bhutan don't expect very tasty food anywhere. So this hotel meets Bhutan standards. Staff is always ready to make food according to your wish.Rooms are dimly lit and at night it is difficult to... More

Namgay heritage hotel is walkable distance from most places in Thimphu. It's a heritage hotel with the bhutanese look and feel. Our rooms we slightly small but you can check for rooms with bigger beds. The rooms don't come with fans so you would require to keep the window open but there is a mesh in one window which keeps...
